This is a beautiful moldavite pendant from the Czech Republic that has been wrapped in a stainless steel cage that coils around the stone. This cage pendant was created by creating a freestanding coil with a small bail on top and slipping the moldavite inside. This elegant but minimalist wrap helps to accentuate the natural beauty of this otherworldly stone, creating a true showpiece. *Note – You will receive a pendant like the one pictured. As this is a production piece, each moldavite will be slightly different and housed in a cage hand wrapped to look just like the one in the picture.
All moldavites used for this piece will be between 0.75ct and 1.5ct, being roughly the same size and shape as the moldavite pictured above. About Moldavite: A product of a meteor strike that took place in the Moldau Valley in what is now the Czech Republic more than 14 million years ago, Moldavite is a olive green tektite that was formed from the impact created by the heat and kinetic energy of the meteor striking the sand, creating a special type of gemstone that has some of the properties of desert glass, but others that are unique, with flecks of the meteor itself strewn throughout the stone.
