Suggestion: get a single PSU for all of them, e.g. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075V1HYFS/

They actually sell wireless charging kits specifically for this purpose. set your depth to be ~1/16" shy of the thickness of your board and route the hole from the other side set the coil in. I did that with this stand and it worked out well (I've since epoxied it into place so it doesn't look quite so sketchy

  • I've heard some people having issues with the Seneos. They don't seem to be 'stable'. I agree with the issue, but it's the cheap one out there for Canadians. I wouldn't recommend it if you can get the Yootechs or Anker 2501 or others. They definitely work, but there's something iffy about them. They should work with QC2.0 and 3.0 - when they work.

    12/9

  • I've noticed that sometimes the Pixel won't charge at 13.2W mode even with the fast chargers, that it'll go to 6W or 3.2W mode. This is a temporary phone issue. If you try to swap it between chargers, the problem will persist. Usually if I just let it away from the charger, then later charge it again, it would be fine again. Worst case, you could restart the phone. But this is a transient albeit annoying issue. It is unfortunately not solely a charger issue, so throwing the charger across the room wouldn't help +_+

    11/2

  • Tried the Yootech LX3. Apparently LX/XC is their models with USB-C and X is their model with microUSB. The LX3 worked well, looks good, and works with USB-C PD. This one's a keeper for stand model, but it does cost around $25 compared to the ~$14 YooTech X2C and ~$17 YooTech X3.

(11/25: Looks like someone found a cheaper model of the LX3 without adapter, about $15!)

    10/31

  • I would've expected the newer YooTech (X5, X6) to be compatible, however they are not.

    10/29

  • YooTech X2C worked on USB-C. Got the 2-pack. The charging speed on USB-C PD seem to fluctuate. Rated wattage kept changing between 10.8W, 12W, and 13.2W. Stabilized at 10.8W, pulling in 1.4-1.7A

    10/28

  • Eh, decided I wanted a stand too for work tables, and will be ordering a Yootech X2 to test
    • According to a couple of redditors the X2 work too (rounded top, the one with rectangular shape that's 15W in Amazon is X3)
  • Photos of working ones
  • Tested the Seneo PA187A & PA190A with QC2.0. Works with fast charging. (On top of QC3.0)
  • Tested the YooTech F500 with QC2.0. Does not work with fast charging. (Only QC3.0 and USB-C PD) (Tested later on 10/31 and it delivered the fast charge)

    10/27

  • Anker 2501 seems to be working as well.
  • 10W YooTech puck worked for fast charging
    • For $18 including adapter, and QC3 standard, this is the cheapest so far.
    • Also accidentally found out that it works with USB-C PD too.
    • The Seneo is similar price but without USB-C PD.
    • $15 No adapter version if you don't need the QC3.0, or you have enough USB-C PD lying around.
    • Decided to stop testing because nothing can beat this at the moment. There are also 2-packs which may be cheaper.

10/26: 4 seems to be working for fast charging so far:

  • Pixel Stand
  • 15W Seneo puck & stand (sometimes unreliable?) Looks like sometimes my phone just derp and need a restart, happened again with the Yootech puck.
  • 15W YooTech stand (according to another user, Fakespot F though)
  • 10W RAVPower puck (according to another user, FakeSpot F though)

Going to test the 10W YooTech puck tomorrow.

So far here are my findings:

  1. Pixel Stand works for fast charging (13.5W, 1.7-2A)
  2. What's compatible for Pixel 3 may not be as compatible with Pixel 4 - Google store confirmed this on the Belkin BoostUp.
  3. There are 4+ charge modes for wireless:
    1. 3.2W - Slow (unusable)
    2. 6W (unusable)
    3. 8.4W - Fast (Around 700mA, so around 3W): Considered slow charging for the purposes of this research
    4. 10.8W - Fast: This is the Yootech X2
    5. 13.2W - Fast (Around 1.7-2A, so around 7-8W): This is the Pixel Stand speed
  4. User-reported:
    1. 15W yootech at 2A (8W calculated) (looks like Yootech X3, not certified for EPP)
    2. 10W RAVPower at 2A (8W calculated, 13.5W rated? uncertified)
    3. Random chargers seems to be pulling around 600-800mA, ending up around 3W pull out of the 5W (8.4 on Inware) rated. This is the same as using a 2.4A port.
    4. 10W yootech was reported. I have tried and verified it worked.
    5. Anker 2501 has been reported to work.
  5. We don't have a compiled list of EPP Chargers, other than according to /u/Exfiltrator
    1. You can check here: https://www.wirelesspowerconsortium.com/products Filter on: Product type = transmitter, automotive=no, subsystem=no, Power profile=Extended Power profile
  6. I wanted to narrow down the Aukey/Anker/RAVPower ones from the list above. There's no Aukey models certified.
    1. Samsung and LG has options that's not available in US
    2. RAVPower has 3 certified, I could only find 1 in Amazon, RP-PC066 that's not available
    3. Anker has 8 models certified, but the code is different than the Anker website/Amazon. B are with adapter, A are without.
      1. A2501
      2. A2502
      3. A2512
      4. A2514
      5. A2515 (not for US)
      6. A2551 (Air vent for car)
      7. A2570
      8. A2571
    4. Belkin has 6 models listed, 2 I can't find
      1. F7U050
      2. F7U052
      3. F8J234
      4. F8J235
    5. heyday (what's this?) which is sold in Target, seems to have a couple of EPP-certified chargers. Picked up the two that's EPP-certified in Target (puck and stand), but it's still 8.4W rated, pulling 700mA.
    6. Yootech has no EPP-certified models. The 10W Puck, I confirmed to be compatible with Pixel 4 fast wireless charging.
    7. Seneo 15W chargers: Not EPP-certified. Works with QuickCharge 3.0 to USB C cable. Does not work with USB-C PD. Sometimes it gives me a 3.2W/6W rated though, so it's finicky. They also sell 2-pack puck/2-pack stand. Certainly fishy but the first third-party that I found can fast charge.
    8. Tried the BestBuy Insignia 10W charger. Sadly that doesn't charge fast either.

If you can remove the back of your phone and if it has a contact point for Qi then you can get (just an example for the G4) the charger for cheap. Some even come bundled with a Qi pad/dock.

If you can't remove the back / it doesn't have the extra contact point then make sure the next device you buy has it.

u/Gaary · 7 pointsr/AppleWatch

Jesus these thing are expensive. I spent 30 bucks and got separate things. A small stand to charge the watch and a upright pad that can charge my phone in portrait or landscape. I don’t get paying 100 bucks to just have it be one piece.

That thing is 20 bucks (28 with 8 dollar coupon at checkout), looks nice and does the exact same thing these 100 dollar ones do.

Honestly, I just took apart an old wireless charger I had for my old car. Ripped out the guts and fished it through. But if you don't have a spare one, something like this would work: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073W7P5T8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_Zud0Db1PJTBRS

I have another that I plan on doing for the other side. Thinking I might make a video in case people are interested.

Ah right, you reminded to make a post :) I will make it later but for everyone else that's reading:

PSA: All Tesla Wireless Charging Mats will only slow charge at 5W when plugged into the Front USB ports!!

  • Basically, you will *only* get fast charging (7.5W, 10W, 15W?) if you use a QC 3.0 adapter with your wireless charging pad

The only way to get QC 3.0 is to:

  • Grab a QC 3.0 battery pack and find one that has passthrough (Ive probably tried out 6 different packs and none have worked reliably), which leads me to:
  • Get a QC 3.0 port (or QC 3.0 power) into the center console by drilling holes or snaking a cable from the current 12V socket in the armrest compartment into the center console

I did find a couple that showed a very clean snake/cable hiding going from the armrest into the center console. It comes with a wireless charging mat, but I would rather much want just that 12V QC 3.0 adapter 😂😂

edit: this 3rd link shows how to snake the cable into the center console w/ no holes (it's as clean as you can get)

https://smile.amazon.com/Charger-Nekteck-Certified-Delivery-MacBook/dp/B07DGTFQTD this has a 87W single USB C port and 4 USB 3 ports. You need to decide whether you need something this high, rarely do you need it.

Another high wattage - lots of ports device is https://smile.amazon.com/Charging-Station-Charger-Adapter-Compatible/dp/B07W1PC58R/ with a 60W USB C, a 18W USB C and three USB A ports. 60W will do for almost all laptops, the 18W is good enough for most phones and a trio of legacy gadgets. Even better, if you have one of those phones which support the proprietary QuickCharge 3.0 standard, this will still work as the USB A ports are QC capable.

Pretty cheap one, but works great and holds the phone in place... you could double sided tape it too, but it stays put and you can just move it out of the way and still access your ashtray. I bought a 5v hardwire adapter kit for $10 and ran it to the fuse box...

Actually it does, there’s a [TP4054 Battery charge controller](
https://www.analog.com/media/en/technical-documentation/data-sheets/405442xf.pdf) on that board.

If you add a wireless charging receiver coil then your device can wirelessly charge from any Qi charger.

Hey! Just picked up my Model 3 this week and I've purchased the following, all of which I highly recommend:

  1. Road Comforts Tesla Model 3 Custom Fit Floor Mats - $79.99 (Premium look, perfect fit, incredible value. So happy with them.)
  2. Carbon Fiber Center Console Wrap - $29.99 (Same company does a matte black one.)
  3. Tempered Glass Screen Protector - $14.98
  4. 15W Wireless Charger - $49.99 (Needed the extra charging power.)
  5. Dead Pedal Cover - $15.99 (Looks so good! It does not have any sort of logo on it, despite the preview image.)
  6. Aluminum Pedals- $16.99 (Difficult to get on, but they stay on and look great.)
  7. Center Console Organizer- $8.99 (Convenient for change, prox cards, and sunglasses.)
  8. Rear Door Sills- $14.99 (Completely unnecessary, but I like them.)

Here are the products that I used for this:

Note: if your phone already has wireless charging, you don't need the Mophie case. My phone is an iPhone 6S so I need a charging case but you won't need that if you have one of the new iPhones or Android phones that have wireless charging native to the phone.

Mophie JuicePack case (home charging pad included):

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01F5XGZXW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Mophie sells a car vent mount that you can use. However, I didn't use that because it doesn't swivel that well. So I bought the Mophie Desk Mount:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GJ9IV2O/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

And I disconnected it from the stand...so I'm not using the stand at all.

Instead, I connected the charge pad (that used to be connected to the desk mount) and connected it to this:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CXDRO5K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

So I disconnected the magnet on the WizGear vent mount and connected the Mophie charge pad to the WizGear.

The Power Bank that you saw in the video is this one:

vdd is @ 5V. I'm charging with a wall wart. I switched over to a metered usb brick and I'm getting a 0.1A readout, so that seems good.

I feel like the charging is working, but the lights are just not for want ever reason.

u/-ArthurDigbySellers- · 1 pointr/woodworking

It does seem to be getting more and more expensive every year. I'm fortunate to have a friend with a mill which is where this batch came from, otherwise it would have been out of reach for me from a budget standpoint.

Here's the cradle:

u/taveanator · 1 pointr/lgv10

I just bought this one. I'll post a quick review after I get it.

FWIW I also put this on my factory back and it works fine. Yes you have to alight the connectors accurately - just tape it on first, test it out, then remove one piece of tape, fold it over to remove the full sticky back and voila.

Has anyone tried...

Wireless charging?

They have a ton of micro usb qi charging pads designed to convert phones to wireless charging, not sure why it wouldn't work on the go. It's a lot easier to just drop a device on a charger than have to plug it in.

As an example:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07C82R5DD

u/donsasan · 1 pointr/lgg4

I have this and it works, plus if you put this sticker in your phone, you can charge it wirelessly.

u/makhay · 1 pointr/GooglePixel

Not sure if they have a Euro version of this https://store.google.com/product/universal_type_c_60w_charger unfortunately it only has one output and does not support the 9V profile, so it will charge your pixel at 15W. I would also check out the Apple Macbook Chargers, they would have everything you want in one port and do charge the Pixel. Surprisingly, the iVoler https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01ET762XS/ may meet your needs as it supports the 20V profile. Again, not sure if they have a euro plug, but you do get USB-A ports too. :) (This was also listed as OKAY by Nathan K, so no worries about this not working well)

If your laptop accepts other PD profiles and you don't mind a slower charge, there are a lot of other options too.

u/wingsta · 1 pointr/teslamotors

Most of the wireless chargers for the model 3 have the standard slow charging if connected to the usb, and a faster charge if you get it connected to the cigarette lighter. The limit seems to be the built in usb output that is next to the charger pad area. I have a wireless that comes with a cigarette lighter. It is now much faster than my old one, claiming to be up to 15w depending on the phone being charged which I could believe through my usage so far.

u/TheFoolishWit · 1 pointr/razer

Most usb-c-to-USB cables will work AFAIK, the problem is compatible battery packs. I just had to replace mine when the usb-c part broke, and I got the Targus and iVoler packs, with just a standard m-m usb-c and both worked. Apple chargers didn't though, I think there's a voltage difference or some proprietary nonsense.

u/Furumpus · 1 pointr/iphone

The one thing your setup doesn’t allow for is wireless charging in your car with your magnetic mount. To accomplish that and still be able to use your desk qi charger, you might consider a different metal plate and magnetic qi vent mount. I use this one:

Nillkin Wireless Car Charger 2-in-1 Air Vent Vehicle Holder for All Qi-Enabled Devices - Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072LTB7YW?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

The metal plate is horseshoe shaped, so it doesn’t block the coil.

iPhone 7 Plus
Recently got my iPhone 7 Plus 128 gb stolen and purchased a iPhone Xs Max. Forgot I had insurance on my old iPhone so they sent me a new one. I have the first iPhone 7 original box with charger, ear pods, and cable, but no headphone dongle. It also comes with 3 cases (red wallet, clear rubber, and a black case on the phone), a Qi charger adapter, and extra temper glass(one already on the screen). Looking to get 450 shipped.

Thanks

Without a case, the G4 is impossible to text on at the table. For me, that's not a big deal since when I'm on a desk, I use Pushbullet and I don't have to type on my phone. G4 also has wireless charging if you pick up a special sticker for it like this one. But I personally just swap batteries so that I'm never tethered to a wall. Each battery is 3000 mah too! LG Ui is pretty unobtrusive and similar to stock.

If the durability of the Xperia is an issue, I recommend just picking up a case for it. It sounds like it matches all your criteria perfectly. I've heard wonders from their battery saving feature.

I bought this one years ago to use with an old android phone I had. It works totally fine with my iPhone 8 Plus, and the charger is generic as hell. The one you picked up seems to at least have a couple of decent reviews. If youre worried about it, id keep looking around and see if you can find more reviews. If youre still not satisfied with what you find then i'd just return it.

It might be a bit pricey, but once I eventually get an AW I might get one of these. Belkin is a good brand so I assume this product has some quality to it.

A Qi charging receiver is easy to find for around $10 to $15 retail cost.

Of course, there may be other costs involved in moving the internal components around to make enough room for a charging receiver.

I bought a similar one that can deliver 87W via USB-C plus four USB-A and leave it in my laptop backpack permanently. Total game changer.

I use this to charge my devices at night. If you have the 38mm, be sure the magnet grabs your watch or it won’t charge.
