Yo! Just wanted to drop you this info because I LOVED it when I found it.

Bag O Zombies!

You get 100 of them. You can find them in glow in the dark form as well.

This is also neat looking, but I haven't gotten them.

EDIT

Those look baller too.

u/DwizzleyAdams · 31 pointsr/batman

I got it on Amazon! But beware, it is much larger than you think. Definitely not a shelf item unless you have a very big space to display it!

https://www.amazon.com/DC-Collectibles-Batman-Animated-Batmobile/dp/B00VHUWZPK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1541820767&sr=8-1&keywords=batman+the+animated+series+batmobile

Also there is this if you have 20$

Edit: Just a heads up. Others have noted that these are a bit larger than your typical minis and will not fit your average 1inch grid perfectly. Just something to consider.

Not OP, but think this is it;

What size and price range?

6": There's a new Marvel Legends coming out soon that looks pretty dope. Or if you're into more high-end 6" figures Mezco has a proto-type in the works.

7": Marvel Select Deadpool articulation isn't great, but it's cheap and displays well enough.

8": If you're into the Mego style this is your only option. Lot of accessory and display options.

10": These knock-off/un-official "Fire Toys" figures are interesting and fairly cheap. You can find reviews on Youtube and they're not that bad.

12": Hot Toys has a Movie figure and Sideshow has a Comic version. Both hella cool and hella expensive.

That's all I can really think of. If price isn't a problem, go 12" scale. If you're a Marve Legends collector and need something in scale just wait. And if you want a large stand alone figure, go Select or the Fire Toy.

u/Mathias_Greyjoy · 12 pointsr/StarWarsArmada

Is this on a budget? Or just wondering what to get first? I'll link everything I name to Amazon, just so you can see what they look like and to see the rough pricing. You might have to change the url to your respective country's though.

It might look like a wall of text but I'm very brief on each ship here. The bottom will give you the best explanation. Please feel free to ask any questions about the various ships. I own at least one of each ship I name and have used them all at least once.

You could first invest in Squadrons. Rebel Fighter Squadrons Expansion Pack I, and Imperial Fighter Squadrons Expansion Pack I. Then there's also the Rogues and Villains Expansion Pack which includes ships for both factions. Such as the Millienium Falcon and Slave I.

For ships, it all depends on what you want your fleet to work as. Want large capital ships? Go for an Imperial-Class Star Destroyer, and a Calamari Cruiser, to which there are two options. The Home One Cruiser and the Liberty version. Easiest way of differentiating the two? Home One is slower and fires from it's flanks, Liberty is faster and spews out its attacks from it's front hull. All three are of course super fun to play, though they take a little more skill to manuever effectively. I rarely use fleets that lack my Star Destroyer Basilisk or my Home One Cruiser Allusis. My two favourite ships to use.

Want something smaller? Try an Assault Frigate or two. Great ships. They can lead fleets well as Flagships or support larger capital ships. Another invaluable Rebel ship is Mc30c Frigate. Fast, and deadly at close range. I rarely play Rebels, but when I do I always use this ship, along with the Assault Frigate or the Home One.

For the Empire you have lots of options. You can add a second Victory-Class Star Destroyer to your fleet, along with the core set Victory. They work pretty well, are easy enough to move around, and look cool. Want something up close and personal? The Gladiator-Class Star Destroyer is one of the most popular medium sized Imperial ship. Manueverable, deadly at close range, and very effective title cards.

Now lets talk Corvettes and Cruisers. Out of everything here I'm going to 100% suggest you buy at least one Arquitens Light Cruiser. Comes with great cards, works well as a Squadron carrier, picket ship, you name it. One fun and easy fleet I play is two or three Arquitens with a Gladiator, or two Arquitens and two Gladiators. They all fire from their flanks, so you line them up in a conga line like a convoy and fire salvos into your enemy. For something smaller the Raider-Class Corvette moves around the board fast, can move squadrons around, but is kind of hard to use unless you have experience with it. Still a very cool ship to own, I like using at least one when I run larger Capital ship fleets. Allows me to manuever my ISDs into space while also having something really fast to close gaps and push fighters around.

For the rebels there's options, depending on which flank you want to fire from. Front? Get another Nebulon-B. It comes with the Salvation and Yavaris title cards, which perfect the Nebulon-B. Corellian Corvettes are also good options. Side arcs? The MC30c Frigate.

Lastly lets quickly talk more speciality ships. I don't have any experience with Rebel Squadron dedicated carriers, but I do with the Imperial Quasar Fire-Class Cruiser Carrier. This thing exists solely to push Squadrons around the board. Know how to use it and you can wreck enemy fleets, make a bad move with it and it'll get torn to shreds ruining your strategy.

There exist two ships called Flottilas, they are very cheap and also exist solely as Squadron movers. They are the Gozanti Cruisers and Rebel Transports respectively.

That's the bulk of most of the ships. There are a couple others like the Hammerhead Corvettes and the Second wave of Squadron expansions, but these are harder to play with (in my opinion) and I'll let someone else tell you about them. Bottom line, it depends what kind of fleet you like playing. Squadron heavy? Look at Carriers and Squadron expansions. Classic ships? Go for a Star Destroyer or Star Cruiser. Want lots of ships in your fleet with lots of options? Get a bunch of Light Cruisers and Gladiators, and the various Rebel Frigates and Corvettes.

Edit: Forgot about the Interdictor-Class Star Destroyer. A personal favourite for casual games, but really hard to use competitively. A very expensive ship point-wise, and not very powerful attack wise. It has some cool abilities, like forcing enemy ships to change speeds, but that's about it. Shame really, this is by far my favourite looking ship.

If you'd like a more assertive answer. Buy the two Squadron expansions I. They come with classic ships like TIE Advanced, Interceptors and Bombers. And The Y-Wing, A-Wing, and B-Wings. Get one or two Light cruisers and one or two Nebulon-Bs. And if money isn't a problem get a Star destroyer and a Star Cruiser.

Ok, don't laugh too hard at me, but I got this "bucket of monsters" really cheap, and you'd be surprised at how many will work for D&D, especially if you paint them. It's 100 monsters for, like $18 bucks American.

Edit: This is a "fantasy creatures" bucket for $23.

u/ICANTFINDSOUPS · 9 pointsr/HotWheels

Try these, they're both sold for retail price right here. :

Mitsubishi Eclipse

Mazda RX7 FD

Hoped this helped. 😉😉😉

u/1D13 · 8 pointsr/DungeonsAndDragons

There are these bucket of figures that are great, and super cheap for how many you get.

Monsters

Skeletons

Zombies

Knights

Dragons

And so on. Super cheap. Tons of figures, less than $20 for each set.

u/SandmanAlcatraz · 7 pointsr/DMAcademy

These tubes of minis are probably the best value: 90-100 minis for ~$20. They can give you a good base, and then you can purchase specific minis for more important characters (PCs, important NPCs, BBEGs, etc.)

Dwarves, Elves, Wizards, Orcs, Dragons, Unicorns, Skeletons, Fairies and Centaurs

Fiends, Flesh Golems (Frankenstein), Lizardfolk/Dragonborn (Godzilla), Mummies, Cyclops, Werewolves, Vampires, Zombies, Giant Spider, Giant Moths, Sahaugin (Creature from the Black Lagoon), gravestones

It’s a little hidden. For whatever reason, it doesn’t show up when searching on Amazon, only through Google searches.

u/EditorialComplex · 7 pointsr/criticalrole
u/C_Zachero · 6 pointsr/DnD

You can find sets of minis online (example), or have each player buy their own mini, but I have a few alternative suggestions. If any of you has old legos, you can use those lego characters. Many board games have minis or "meeples" you can use too. I've seen people use soda bottle caps as well.

u/Bananaramananabooboo · 3 pointsr/XWingTMG

CamelCamelCamel shows that the Imperial Raider has been holding at $89 since mid february and it has recently dropped down to $76 (15% drop). It seems that around the holiday season it's price wildly fluctuates from around $80 to as low as $54, but $76 seems like its lowest between-holidays price.

Miniature Market: $85

CoolStuffInc: $85

This isn't by any measure the lowest this ship will get, but if you're hoping to get it in the next 6 months or so this might be the lowest price you'll find.

Not commenting on its playability in epic (as I don't play epic) the Imperial Raider offers the following for the X-Wing player: New Tie Advanced Pilots, four of the TIE/x1 title card, and the almighty Emperor Palpatine.

If you have no interest in playing Imperial then this ship offers nothing to you, and if you're interested in only playing competitively it doesn't offer much on that front either. Vader w/ TIE/x1 has been out of favor in the meta for a while now with the popularity of stress control and Emperor Palpatine was hit pretty hard with a nerf some time back. However Emperor Palpatine and Vader still do have their places in competitive lists occasionally and both are fantastic in casual play.

If you're wanting to fly the TIE Advanced and / or utilize a Palpmobile with the Epsilon / Upsilon shuttle and you're wanting to do it soon then this is a decent discount at $10 off the MM / CSI prices. However if you're not in a rush then I'd wait for the holiday / Black Friday season where you can get this for much, much cheaper.

SCS Direct sells bundles like "100 Zombies", "100 Monsters", etc for fairly cheap. The scale isn't always perfect and you get what you pay for... but if you want bulk, they're an option: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KBHVSTY/

You can also look into things like cupcake toppers. Some party supply places will sell tiny plastic figures for themed kids parties... soldiers, knights, etc.

This looks like it might work out perfectly. Someone in the reviews posted images of the U-wing with IA minis, and as the legion guys are about a head taller, it looks it works really well. Only downside is the price, ($35), but with the untimely demise of toys r us, finding one out on liquidation sale shouldn't be difficult (at least, my local one had a bunch the other day).

u/jaifriedpork · 2 pointsr/Multicopter

I already had the volt meters and XT60 plugs lying around, so I just had to buy a cord and stick everything together with solder, heat shrink, and hot glue. Happily enough, my B6AC's DC input uses the same plug, so I can use this to charge 1S batteries when I'm out and about, too. (Not much point in charging 4S this way unless I have something like a 5Ah pack on me, but I guess it's a possibility.)

If you want to go cheaper but worse looking, Amazon has some pretty good deals on bulk bags/boxes of animals: https://www.amazon.com/Zoo-World-Realistic-Learning-Resource/dp/B01KYYKECA/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1491774020&sr=8-3&keywords=mini+animals

I got mine at a store in Akiba when I was in Japan. When I bought mine, it was 1080 yen and the 8% tax on top of that. The 15 dollar one on Amazon isn't bad for its price.

( https://www.amazon.es/WizKids-72779-Realms-Miniatures-Starter/dp/B0722N48N2/ref=mp_s_a_1_15?keywords=d%26d+icons+of+the+realms&qid=1570868365&sprefix=d%26d+icons&sr=8-15 )

Espero te sirva :)

Unfortunately they are currently sold out:

I bought 3 packs of the nicer mini's for the party to use for their characters and while it might not be perfect (the human wizard is using a human monk mini) it seems to work for everyone.

You might be able to make due with these

Go dirt cheap.

Skeletons

Then just do some reaper bones or wizkids for "feature characters" and upgrade as you go along. Unfortunately good minis are almost always expensive. Finding an E-Bay score is always an option.

Craft paints and tubes of plastic figures will do the job. SCS Direct's Wicked Duals figures would be a good choice for models. They're a good value, but not amazing quality. They definitely will need to be straightened out with a hot water bath and set into position with an ice bath too.

u/slowrine · 2 pointsr/minipainting

Would not recommend, and would suggest testing in a small spot before doing the whole thing. I used it to prime these miniatures, and they all came out sticky and shiny. I hoped they'd go matte overnight, but they didn't. Was more trouble than it was worth.

It could have been the type of plastic, but I expected it to work because it's marketed for plastic ¯_(ツ)_/¯ Also, if you do use it, and want to take it off, a 5 minute soak in odorless mineral spirits took it right off for me.

Maybe we should give the police departments these. Saves us money, gives them something to do and keeps them out of our way. *Caution: may not be distributed to School Resource Officers; per adherence to "Zero Tolerance" policies.

School Resource Officers will still have plenty of time to text students and attempt to molest them, while carrying real guns.

u/Rhodes_Warrior · 2 pointsr/DMAcademy

Brand new DM here. Currently running LMoP for 3 first-timers and 2 (barely) amateurs. Bought these for my party. $17 USD

Google “LMoP paper minis” for the enemies/villains. Use some common coins as and some Elmer’s Glue for a base. It honestly takes 2 hours (with breaks for beer and Reddit lol) to cut and paste once you assemble the materials.

Otherwise get a double sided battle mat, like $22 USD and some dry erase markers, $6 USD

Skip the party’s minis if you want to save some money. But the battle mat and markers can be used FOREVER.

I ran that starters guide with my 10 yr old son (we're one session in) and he loved it! They also make miniatures of the pre-gen character sheets so that was a good hook my son enjoyed being his character.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0722N48N2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The starter set comes with a little map of the first encounter so it helped him understand how the combat system worked and what he could do.

Only advise I can give really is whatever he wants to do let him. If he wants to cast a purple fireball let him, don't ruin his imagination just help drive/steer it. I let my son have this glowing armor that had purple lightning coming off it but really it was just chainmail so he didn't get any cool extra damage but in his head he was a badass and that to me is what's important.

OH and Wizards and what not are a little more difficult so basically I'd ask "what type of power do you want to use lightning, fire, ice, wind, etc?" and then whatever his answer I'd cast "firebolt" 1d8 if I remember correctly but I'd describe the move that he wanted to do. Some people may disagree but again I wanted them to feel like they were the coolest dudes in the realm!

u/Suezasaurus · 2 pointsr/DungeonsAndDragons

Amazon is what I use, although I haven't checked other sites much, so I don't know if the price is good/bad. I bought this and the miniatures are all good quality. There's plenty of other miniatures on amazon, I'd recommend at least checking it out.

I would have to say that Martian Manhunter is pretty under appreciated. Everyone knows Batman(badass), Superman, Wonder Woman and the Flash but not many know of MM. I mean he has super strength, super speed, invulnerability, flight, shape shifting, telepathy and he's intangible! He's pretty much the entire JL in one! How badass is he!

And if I happen to win I'd like this Deadpool

u/toddjunk · 1 pointr/ActionFigures

Wait, you said 6-7", I misread that initially as purely 6"

In 7" there is the Marvel Select Deadpool

https://www.amazon.com/Diamond-Select-Toys-Marvel-Deadpool/dp/B003B96AOW

Articulation is comparable to the Hasbro Marvel Legends figure mentioned before.

If you have some money, but not enough for official minis, try something like this:

This would be awesome. How can you not smile when you see the loud-mouthed, smart-ass, sarcastic SOB? (Or maybe that's just me)

The dice linked will be good enough as each person will probably have two sets and you can roll and add up but if you need to make large rolls I use a dice rolling app named “Dice Ex Machina” it’s on IOS and I believe android and google store.

Regarding minis the 2d cutouts are quite nice and easy to use there is also a kinda blandish minifigure collection

SCS Direct Fantasy Creatures Action Figure Playset - 90pc Monster Battle Toy Collection (Includes Dragons, Wizards, Orcs, and More) - Perfect for Roleplaying and D&D Gaming https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0746TKNSL/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_n8apDb6TPTRBB

And the cutouts

Pathfinder Pawns: Bestiary Box https://www.amazon.com/dp/1601255616/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_h-apDbW0DB1MW

The mats you’re talking about sound great, I would probably just buy those

And the monster stats can be found on the website I linked, they can be printed or just used from the site and I would go out and got a pack of coloured markers to draw on the mats

This website has almost all monster and spell stats

So, as someone who is relatively new to DMing (started just over a year ago), here's what I'd suggest to make sure you keep your cost down, while still having figures you can slowly replace over time:

---

Starting off, you can get a lot of generic "green-army-men" style fantasy figures for relatively cheap.

  • Here's some knights
  • Here's some skeletons
  • Here's a random assortment of generic fantasy charcters
  • Here's some undead
  • Here's some barbarians that also just make decent random warriors

They're not very expensive and what they lack in quality they make up for with quantity.

    ---

The next best solution I have for cheap decent figures is for animals. I've been able to find tubes or tubs of a decent selection of cheap, pre-painted figures at just about every Walgreen's or CVS Pharmacy I've been to. I use these guys for animal encounters, pet companions, and they're especially helpful for my druid.

If you can't find them at your local drugstore IRL, there's plenty of selections you can find online.

  • Here's just an example of some of the tubes you can find.

    ---

Now, players understand you can't afford unique figures for every encounter. However, I've noticed that the figures you have stand in for whatever they're fighting can sometimes be distracting, or if you have multiple identical figures it can be confusing knowing which one they're targeting in a battle. A great, cheap solution I've found to this is just using multi-colored generic pawn pieces like from the game "Sorry!". The pieces themselves are so nondescript (other than color) that the players have an easier time projecting the combatant you describe onto them, and the various colors make it easier to track what's going on in a battle, both for the players and DM.

If you can't just salvage an old Sorry game you find lying around you can find packs of the pieces or other generic multi-colored pawns online for very cheap.

  • Multi-colored pawns
  • Meeples
  • Sorry Pieces

    ---

This last suggestion isn't really about where to find cheap figures, but more to address the reason you said you wanted figures in the first place, to "help the immersion".

You may have heard of the website HeroForge before and it's a great tool for D&D players. It allows you to make very customizable figures for your games. Now, the cost of their cheapest figures are still over $30 for a single figure, so definitely not cheap. However, as a DM, I still regularly use it. I use HeroForge to help design notable NPC's or enemies for my campaign, then save the screenshot of them and post the image in our group chat when the character gets introduced. This is very helpful for a lot of reasons: I get a more solid idea of characters that I was designing in my head, it gives the players a visual and helps with the immersion, and when I DO decide to actually order a character (like, for example, a villain or NPC I know will be reoccurring for many sessions) it becomes a MUCH bigger deal and way more intense.
I also always recommend that PC's at the very least design their figures on HeroForge for the same reasons.

  • Here's some examples of figures I designed and posted used over the past few months without ever having to spend a dime

    ---

I hope these were helpful. I'm still in the process of building my figure collection as well and love to share cool tips or resources I have found while doing so.

A pack of 90 x 25mm minis for 22$ (18 pound) with double the quality and precision. That's 0.20 pounds per mini 1/5 the price. they are more mass produce than 15mm or 18mm so they are always cheaper. I have 2 sets of those and some a 28mm but still fits and once you put a primer (i used same primer as the one i use for warhammer)

If you can spare like $20, these are really cheap options to get a ton of minis:

https://www.amazon.com/SCS-Direct-Fantasy-Creatures-Playset/dp/B0746TKNSL/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1539723865&sr=8-3&keywords=bulk+miniatures

They aren't great, basically army man quality, but they get the job done for your run-of-the-mill creeps. As for your players, ask them to bring their own minis. It'll be like $10 tops to get a Reaper mini, and they'll be able to get something that really reminds them of their character.

Then, there's always standees:

https://www.coolstuffinc.com/p/226999?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&adpos=1o1&scid=scplpPZO1019&sc_intid=PZO1019&gclid=CjwKCAjwmJbeBRBCEiwAAY4VVfkIm-qSwJlAQPQ6pnL7ECdAREOv26dLrIJsk7S2OMUcTx-GdlL65xoCcSwQAvD_BwE

A couple companies make them, and it is another way to get a lot of minis. Again, not as cheap as homemade, but def a lot better than getting a bucket of plastic.

I'm not a fan of Funko's big-head style, but I do have a couple of the different mystery mini figures, they're not quite as deformed looking on account of their smaller size. There's the Funko ones and then also some other non-Funko brand:

https://www.amazon.com/Funko-Mystery-Mini-Steven-Universe/dp/B01CT7TWSW/

https://www.amazon.com/Steven-Universe-Original-Figure-Mystery/dp/B01GQPUDBS/

I originally got one type of them at Target and the other at Hot Topic, but I'm not sure whether either of them still stocks them in the stores, might have to buy them online.

Edit: I just now found these too: http://www.forbiddenplanet.co.uk/steven-universe-pint-size-heroes-x1-random-figure?

It's the Imperial Raider. Fantasy Flight Games made it to counter the Tantive IV for the X-Wing Miniatures game.

u/crimson_713 · 1 pointr/ActionFigures

I know that at $150 USD it may seem like a steep price, but my wife got this for me on Christmas the year it launched (at $250) and I have had 0 reasons to be upset or disappointed with that price tag. It's completely faithful inside and out to what I believe is the season 1 look, it lights up, has functional seatbelts and a sliding canopy, and looks fucking awesome. 10/10, if you want more BTAS in your life this is a must have. Bonus: it fits all standard 6" BTAS figures in the same product line.

The Batplane is next on my most wanted list. Maybe one day it'll be in stock new or VG+ somewhere that isn't $300+.

There are Starter Kit - Miniatures for sale, but it would better to purchase a complete box set of Fantasy Pawns or print your own paper miniatures from an online RPG resource .

For serious miniatures, I haven't seen any. There doesn't seem to be that much variety of style out there.

I have these "Fantasy Creatures", though. The collection has elven archer girls, grossly oversized pixies, unicorns, centaurs, etc. They're not really the right size for 1" squares or hexes, but they're close enough for my purposes. They're cheap, there are lots of them, and I don't worry about breaking or losing them.

u/MillenniumKing · 1 pointr/anime

Its usally on the bottom of the feet, at least it was for the Kurisu one i got while i was in japan. If there is no peg holes then maybe it doesnt have a stand. Its odd but it isnt unheard of. But you can get a stand with a pole and a claw to hold her. This is what im getting to hold my Vita and her Graf Eisen since she is so heavy and such. They make smaller ones with 1 stick and 1 claw. You just claw the waist and it holds it up.

u/NlightNme23 · 1 pointr/Multicopter

Sorry for the late reply. First of all, take all of this with a grain of salt. This is my first build, so I am by no means an expert. You should definitely look in to all this on your own rather than blindly trust my purchases.
