11 cents each. Or you could spend the same amount of money and get basic Bic pens for 8 cents each

I'd be more interested in buying misprints if you could see the options and pick your favorite mistprint--OP's is better than most!

Edit: better misprint

I'll interpret "guy stuff" as "EDC stuff".

Have you tried the...Bic for Her?

While you're there, I suggest reading the reviews. Quite helpful.

u/ServalSpots · 28 pointsr/theydidthemath

No no no...

The non-clicky version is under $14 a gross (144ct). Assuming 0.27ml per is correct for those as well you're looking at a hair under $900.

Compare that to $90 for something more sensible

u/Confection_Sponge · 24 pointsr/TrollXChromosomes

But surely they can write down their own questions with their own pens so they won't forget!
I might have made up this super lame comment just so I could bring back the ridiculousness of this product, the hilarious questions in the Q&A section, and the crazy reviews.

u/Haephestus · 18 pointsr/latterdaysaints

Well, here's the deal: you're flying internationally to Japan, so you will want to travel light. Also, you can pretty much buy anything you need in your mission too. This said, here's my recommendations.

  1. You will want a good pen for writing in Preach My Gospel. Please don't go buy a pack of Pilot pens for this. My favorite pen for pass-along cards and PMG was the Zebra F-301.

  2. Bring a small album of photos of your family. You will meet people who will want to know about you and your family, etc. Keep this small and compact so you can travel with it easily.

  3. A small digital camera will be very useful to you. Just try not to look like a tourist.

Edit: buy a zebra, not a pilot. My goodness.
u/[deleted] · 16 pointsr/reddit.com

No, sir, you are mistaken. This fine specimen is the only worthy pen.

OP thought they were getting this:

But ordered the pencil version. They are pretty cool. My pen is on the way and I’m super excited for it.

They look pretty slick, too. Probably my favorite behind the Tornado, which is the best-writing pen I've ever used for its price point. The only reason I don't still use the Tornado is because I received a very nice pen as a gift that I otherwise would not be able to justify buying, and it does write incredibly smooth.

Handy to have, but don't fret if you can't get one.

> I would like to get one of those nice books that zips up. What combo do you guys recommend for range trips and tracking competitions?

Tactical Notebook + Combat Pen

> On my dope card, should I have a piece of paper ready for each stage, or just at the various distances?

Targets/Distances could change, you'll have time to write out a card so don't worry. I just use a quarterback wrist coach and a roll of painters tape + a sharpie. If I'm going dial instead of holding in the reticle then I'll jot down the elevation for each target in sequence; "T1 - 4.6, T2 6.2". Peel the tape off when the stage is over and stick a new one on, Easy-Peasy.

This is the cheapest pen that BIC makes:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bic_Cristal#/media/File:03-BICcristal2008-03-26.jpg

It's press fit. This looks like every disposable pen ever. Here's another:

https://www.amazon.com/BIC-Round-Medium-Point-12-Count/dp/B00006IE7L

This is what is in the coffee mug at the doctor's office with his name on it and they say "keep it". Here's the "Clic Stic", another classic, also press fit:

https://www.cheappens.com/bic-clic-stic-p/cs.htm

Now once you start getting up to this level you get threads:

https://www.amazon.com/BIC-Velocity-Retractable-Point-12-Count/dp/B004F9QBDC/ref=sr_1_16?s=office-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1505412401&sr=1-16&keywords=pen

These are clearly meant to be refilled, and it's even listed as a feature. This is probably what OP was thinking of. These types of pens are extremely common, and yet, I don't think they're more common than the ones above to the point you could call them "most pens".

Up in my office I've got some pens that I bought off amazon like 10 years ago. They are truly trash. They have a threaded back end that barely holds the whole thing together. I looked and looked, but can't find a picture of any of these. Perhaps they will be worth money some day. Anyway, that's what I was thinking of, but apparently they're not very common.

And with that, I've just spend 20 minutes looking at pictures of pens so I guess I should get back to work.

edit - I realized I got totally sidetracked. Yes, you'll notice the press-fit ones usually use a pretty soft plastic for the "press" part, even if they use a harder plastic for the tube. Some of the Bics use the same material (medium hardness) for both the tube and the press part; I imagine these are really efficient because they only have to keep that one material. The ones I mention above used hard plastic for both the end and the tube, which is probably why they had to make it threaded. These are all design decisions that achieve some inscrutable internal marketing requirement, but they are also probably the cheapest way they could be made at whichever factory makes them.

  • Go onto etsy and search "nurse", "rn", "student nurse", etc. Also try "nurse ID badge", "nurse badge reel", etc. There are a million cute things for nurses on etsy.

  • Cool syringe pens.

I have a multifunction drafting ruler with a universal roller attachment for drafting. It does EVERYTHING

ooh, also I got a cheap kindle e-reader and put all my notes on it in PDF for review.

And an espresso machine and grinder! And source your beans at Costco

My roommate got a beautiful printer with 1200DPI scanner for ~100$. absolutely essential.

Andie Graph graphing calculator app if you've got an android phone

Second the whiteboard call. Also, I got these little sticky things for slapping papers on the wall, great for reference while drafting.

one of these or similar.

Dropbox and put EVERYTHING in it

That covers it, mostly. Dollarama has some good mechanical pencils, and I just stole all my drafting paper from my roomie. She doesn't need it, she's in the sciences.

Pens should be functional, rather than stylish. That said, plastic pens are mostly shitty, and metal pens do give an air of "I mean business."

This Zebra F-301 is apparently popular with police officers, since it has a metal body, and writes evenly. I enjoy it for my normal office job, and have gotten compliments on it before.

u/skidamarink · 5 pointsr/trees

Similar to what tyrghast wrote, but using any old pen doesn't work 90% of the time (efficiency-wise)

First, ya buy one of these guys at any office store:
http://www.amazon.com/Zebra-F-301-Retractable-Stainless-9-Pack/dp/B002JP1AH6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1321380578&sr=8-1

Take it apart until you are left with the metal tube/shaft and nothing else.

Then you grab a pencil, the circular kind that are commonly used for advertising. These pencils will fit the diameter of the pipe almost perfectly so you don't have to worry about missing part of the puck.

I prefer to have a friend hold the tube upright as I start shoveling the kief into the top (typically less of a mess) with a guitar pick or any other non-porous transporter.

Then, slide the pencil down the tube and put as much pressure as you can on the kief, I usually do this 3-4 times make sure I'm hitting all of the edges with my pencil.

Once you feel like it is compacted enough to hold its own, keep the pencil stationary as you lift the tube. And then you're left with a beautiful pill-sized puck that you can throw into any bowl on its own!!!

Here's a picture of some I made for 4/20 this past year:

Yes, I will second this. The Pentel R.S.V.P. BK90 This really is a good pen.

I'm always on the lookout for a better pen though.

Pros: Inexpensive. Very few dead pens or pens drying out/dieing. Acceptable casing shape and design that is experientially only flawed in about 1 in 10 pens. A fine line that is easily readable. This is more of a "scratchy pen" instead of a "smooth rolly pen" so you can get very precise lines out of it. Some scratchy pens have issues with starting and stopping or alternate between putting down too much ink and then not enough ink but this pen doesn't do that. All lines are of a consistent fineness.

Cons: A persistent problem I have with this pen is that it will leak a little bit of ink. So if I were to write 5 sentences, then pause for a bit, then start writing, there would be a small, but noticeably annoying blob of ink on the pen. I usually roll the pen axially on a non important part of the paper from time to time to remove this. This also happens while writing. I could write 1/4 to 1/2 a page and the trailing edge of the ballpoint would have a small ink blob built up. If I were to roll the pen axially 180 degrees and then start writing, I would deposit this blob on my paper and it would mess up my writing. This pen does not write upside down.

I am interested in trying some of the other pens that are rated higher in these comments, because, quite frankly, the Pentel RSVP BK90 Fine is a hard pen to beat IMO.

In the first picture I forgot my Eleaf iCare and then in the second picture I forgot my Nixon The Chronicle.

Everything on here was purchased on Amazon except for the iCare and my actual iPhone SE... and my truck. The light and pen were just added to my loadout thanks to /r/EDC!

I like neat and clean. Also, thanks to /r/minimalism I tend to be very critical of my belongings in both my pocket and my life. When I deem there is nothing left to take away it causes a nice calming effect.

If you want that box to be there before Christmas, better check with your shipping company when the last pick up date with guaranteed pre-Dec 25 delivery is. I checked today with LBC and for Metro Manila and Luzon, it's Oct 14. Mindanao and Visayas areas normally have an earlier cut off date.

Suggested items for your balikbayan box -- bath soap, corned beef, nutella, /u/ikitmikka's suggestion of trader joe's goodies would be good. My mom loves these zebra pens. I have a box right now just waiting for pick up and I have boxes of barilla spaghetti/penne/bowtie pasta in it. Not sure if your Pinoy Pamilya would want the same. I also have some of my old stuff in it -- bags and clothes that are still in good condition but I don't feel like using them anymore. Ask your wife, she'll know if the old stuff you have are ok. Keep in mind it's perpetually summer in the Philippines. Don't send snow boots and down jackets :)

I have two favorite kinds of pens.

Pentel RSVP Fine It's a ballpoint, writes smoothly, comfortable to hold, last a long time. Also you can get tiny adorable ones with keyrings on them. And colors. It's my favorite for writing on paper.

Pilot Precise V-5, Extra Fine Ink pens, I use these mostly for drawing, but they're unfailingly smooth and write nicely too. I usually buy them a dozen at a time. I got hooked on them at my last job.

u/queeraspie · 3 pointsr/knitting

I use one of these pens with the ink thing removed. I put the short end of the slip knot inside the barrel of the pen and twist the end of the pen on so the end doesn't get lost, if that makes sense.

u/Scrennscrandley · 3 pointsr/badeconomics

I use one of these for math and econ. It makes drawing graphs (especially in econ) a lot clearer

For Light Carry:

u/neverhaveieverman · 3 pointsr/EDC

Your bag may or may not be EDC by definition but here is a quick pack outline.

Bag: Vertx EDC Gamut
This is a CCW oriented bag, search LoadedPocketz and Youtube for reviews and the bag in action. There's a ton of organization in it for carrying lots of stuff, plus it's loaded with Velcro so you can either use Velcro add-on's or use their Tactigami to convert anything Molle to attach to their velcro.
Organizers - The Gamut is great but you might want to throw in something like a Maxpedition EDC/Beefy/Fatty to organize tools and supplies as needed, plus you can take them out of the bag if you want to be more mobile. E.G. leave bag in car but take IT toolkit with you to a site.

Tools:

  • Wiha ESD safe bit screwdriver
  • Leatherman - any one with the bit driver piece, (Charge/Skeletool etc) be sure to get the bit driver extension and bit sets. I use a Charge TTI with Nylon Sheath as that's the only one that fits everything together.
  • Klein Full Size Multi-Bit For when you need a full size screwdriver, you can use your own bits for customization.
  • Fenix PD22
Small light with multiple settings you so can use low settings for close up work with minimal reflection, or full brightness for other uses. Lots of lights will work for this purpose, headlamps work even better for hands-free but you'll look like a dork.
  • USB Battery - Anything Anker branded that fits your power requirements, I use their 16,000mah battery as it fits in my Gamut perfectly.
  • Zip-ties
  • Tape measure - whatever size works for your needs
  • Electrical tape and/or small rolls of duct tape
  • Pen - Fisher Space Pen
  • Small notebook - Field Notes or similar
  • Portable USB Cables- Kero and Griffin make small USB cables for charge and sync like this
  • Cleaning wipe, wet naps microfiber towel - nothing worse than touching a gross computer, give it a wipe down first, then clean and dry your hands anywhere with wet naps and the microfiber.
  • Screen cleaner wipes
  • Small med pack - make your own but a few bandaids and Neosporin will fix any small cut you'll get from opening a computer or server. Tylenol, allergy meds, tums, anything like that.

Then you have the EDC items you'll hear most people say:
  • Water bottle
  • Bandana
  • Pocket tools - e.g folding knife/keychain light/keysmart/Leatherman Micra/Juice
  • Bigger med kits

u/t184256 · 3 pointsr/coolguides

They make really decent short and thin pens. And given this guy's tendencies, I tend to believe size is key point here.

EDIT: Oh no, see #29.

u/silverecco · 3 pointsr/EDC

Which dangler clip is that on the knife?

You might like the Zebra T-3 (or T-5 with gold clip). It's the same writing quality as the Zebra F-series pens but extremely small. Not comfortable for extended writing and obviously it doesn't hold as much ink, but I shill for it a lot on this sub since the F-701 is so popular.

u/deliciousBore · 3 pointsr/EDC

I would suggest maybe checking out some of the smaller Zebra pens like the (Zebra Mini Ballpoint Pen T-3) (https://www.amazon.com/Zebra-Ballpoint-T-3-Black-Silver/dp/B0018RHUM0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1499268851&sr=8-1&keywords=zebra+pens+small). It's more around 4 inches but it's a metal body and pretty slim. They're like $5 I think each, but can accept refills. Because it's thin it might be more comfortable clipped to your wallet.

u/randomFcukery · 3 pointsr/HelpMeFind
u/user24 · 3 pointsr/bugout

Nice.

How about a prepaid sim card too? They're tiny. Obviously useless without a phone, but phones are ubiquitous. Carrying a prepaid sim means any phone with charge can be used, and it potentially gives you a network backup, if the spare is on a different network to your regular phone. Just check it every month to make sure it's topped up; a lot of networks will eat your credit if you don't use it within some time period, like 6 months.

How about a condom? Excellent compact water carriers / other improv uses.

I stuck labels to the bottom and inside the lid of my ATFAK with personal info on them. Just so there's one less item to lose. I no longer carry the ATFAK btw, I have a bigger IFAK now.

Looks like you've laminated the info sheets. I would keep them as raw paper for use as emergency tinder / note taking devices.

How about some writing implement? Perhaps one of these. Could be stored inside the straw; no extra space required. (You can get them cheaper)

Ditch the keyring from the LED to save space?

I respect the fact that you cut the corners off the med packets. Me too! High five!

Most likely-to-be useful item, imho, is that whistle.

edit: This pen looks even better, as it's supplied with 3 refils.

u/sappleauce · 3 pointsr/fountainpens

I can't believe you're being downvoted for that. Here's yet another example of "FA" standing for falcon. It really does mean falcon and you can just call them falcon nibs instead of saying "FA"

u/mimafo · 3 pointsr/pens

The Pilot Metropolitan Rollerball Gel pen uses a G2 refill. They're $10-13 depending on where you look. I have a Rotring Rapid Pro and really love it. I'm generally not a ballpoint fan, but this one is awesome. It has a nice weight to it, feels really sturdy, and has a smooth nock mechanism. It's $23 on Amazon right now. It also takes some gel refills if you prefer that.

u/DumperdRx · 3 pointsr/pharmacy

I'll begin:

Pen Pal Pen Holders - These suckers are awesome for our drive-through clip boards. Makes it look very professional and not as tacky as a string on a pen.

Crocs Yukon Sports Clog - Although crocs are pretty uggly, these look O.K. with khaki pants on and after 14 hours of work standing with no break, my feet still feel amazing at the end of my shift.

u/j-mt · 3 pointsr/ar15

These work pretty well: https://www.amazon.com/Birchwood-Casey-Super-Black-Touch-Up/dp/B00JSAE0ZY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1496249224&sr=8-1&keywords=gun+black+pen

Chances are it's not going to be an exact match (but closer than a Sharpie and will last longer). If you use one, I'd suggest framing off the scratch/blemish as close as you can with tape.

u/caiuscorvus · 3 pointsr/homelab

Everything is well ground with a dremel. And you can see it but the edges are painted. A little more gloss than the powder coat, but it looks good in person.

u/nacho_cheezus · 3 pointsr/Wishlist

These are on my under 5 list. 4.88 is probably the cheapest useful thing I have.

u/justimpolite · 2 pointsr/Assistance

One more tip - many of the items on your Amazon list aren't Prime-eligible, which is identifiable by whether they have the blue "Prime" logo on them.

If an item doesn't have the Prime logo, try to replace it with one that does. People who get Amazon Prime get free shipping on those items, but others you have to pay for shipping.

For example, you've got some Bic pens for $.25 but they cost $5.28 for shipping. You can replace them with this which is a better deal overall.

u/whiskeydreamkathleen · 2 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

These are so fun

edit: also all of this is already on my WL, i forgot to say that. EDIT: I stopped being lazy and came back and found the ones I was missing, so they're not on my WL but I specified that by each of them

1. Something grey I guess this is really silver... oops.

2. Reminiscent of the rain Not on my WL

3. Something food related that's unusual

4. Something for someone else - My girlfriend had a stroke last year and when she was in the hospital on all her medication she was telling me she wanted a Pooh Bear pillow pet and her grandma got her a "happy napper" in the shape of a bee or something and she spent days telling me she
needed a Pooh Bear pillow pet and I've looked everywhere for one for her since last July but I can't find one!

5. A book you need to read - This is the book A Christmas Story was kind of based on and that's my favorite Christmas movie because it's
hilarious.

6. Under $1
Not on my WL

7. Something related to cats

8. Something not useful but so beautiful I must have it

9. A movie everyone must watch - My best friend saw this a few years ago on TV and when she was telling me about it I thought it sounded so stupid but she made me come over and watch it anyway and it's seriously the funniest movie I've ever seen. Anyone who likes movies that are kind of stupid-funny absolutely needs to see it because I laugh so hard every single time.

10. Something that would be useful when zombies attack - An external charger in case your phone dies when you're not around somewhere you can plug it in when you're out fighting or hiding from zombies would be super important so you can stay in contact with people and make sure they're not turned into/being eaten by zombies

11. Something that has had an impact on your life - Highlighting things for school so I can find them later has been more helpful than listening during class. Except I go crazy and highlight the entire page.

12. An add-on item

13. Most expensive item - My explanation for this is the biggest "first world problem" in the universe, but oh well. I'm a college student and my current computer is a desktop so I can't take it to class with me or work on stuff before class in the student lounge and I can't lay in bed and watch Netflix and when I move across the country soon after graduation, I'm gonna have to pack it all up and move it with me and it's gonna take up so much space and it's just such a pain. Plus, this computer is getting kind of old and slow and it'll randomly just turn off and it's so annoying and I've tried everything to fix it and everything that people who have looked at it have told me haven't been able to help and I'd really rather just get a new computer because it would be so much easier for the future. Wow, that sounded so whiny.

14. Something bigger than a bread box

15. Something smaller than a golf ball

16. Something that smells wonderful

17. SFW toy

18. Something that would be helpful going back to school. - I have class 3 hours a day, 5 days a week and I get starving sitting there that long so I always try to take something with me to eat, but it's so annoying to try and find something to put it in or have it get crushed in the packaging and stuff.

19. Something related to your current obsession

20. Something so amazing you must see it - IT'S A BIG BOX OF GEL PENS, NOTHING IS COOLER! I remember when they sold them at the store by my grandma's when I was like 8 and they were like $2.79 each so I could never get any, when I finally could get them they weren't cool anymore but I still loved them.

BONUS - Something made in Oregon. *Not on my WL

Another good idea is to use one of those multicolor pens like this, especially for STEM courses so you can write each step of a problem in a different color (as many professors do).

It's a four colour ballpoint! Not an "artpen" as such and I mainly use it in school when cleaning up notes, but they're pretty fun to draw with as well! it's a bicpen so it's actually decently cheap.

Also got another in pastel tones :)

Two potential pen fixes:

  1. Micron waterproof pens. They come in a wide range of tip sizes, and I use them for watercolor painting (I paint over the ink lines), and don't have any issue with smudging, so I imagine it can handle a little hand sweat.

  2. My salt marsh ecologist friends swear by the Rite in Rain pens for all-weather writing, and, again, if it can handle scientists in the rain...

u/HeughJass · 2 pointsr/pens

Hey man. I know this four days old and I'm not sure if you already found a pen or not but here's my suggestion anyway.

The rite in the rain pen

I'm not sure if it's seems a bit pricy to you or not but the pen has a matte black metal housing. It's also got some weight to it so you really feel like it was worth the money when you're holding it. It's my daily pocket pen, I carry it everywhere I go.

u/Molon_labe_3iii · 2 pointsr/ProtectAndServe

Rite in the rain's pen. Unbeatable. It always writes and doesn't bleed. I have one in my uniform shirt and one on my armor. It's expensive as hell but I look at it as incentive to keep track of it. I've only lost one in the last year and I haven't had to replace a cartridge. Also, it handles carbon copies really well.

Papa Johns worker with Irma right around the corner.

Top Row (from left to right):

Oakley SI Half Jacket 2.0: $72 with knockoff polarized mirrored lenses bought on amazon here for $20.

Leatherman Pro Wave: Not a special edition of Wave, just bought through Leatherman's Pro program. $55 with the clip found here for $5.

Timex Ironman Classic 30: Great $30-$40 digital watch that through everything has yet to hiccup, let alone fail, once.

iPhone 7: Matte Black. I'm one of those people who actually doesn't love or hate apple of android. I just happen to have a macbook and an iPhone, and that works for me.

Otterbox Symmetry Series: Wanted a $35 case to match my phone and got one. Lint and dust all over the port openings and inside the case?! Works great, just likes to get dirty.

Oakley SI Flak Beta Prism: $117 through Oakley's standard issue, these are the steel frames thanks to some confusing customer service calls. Polarized lenses with their mumbo jumbo technology actually make colors pop a bit.

Middle Row:

Black Leather Wallet: I don't know, probably found at Kohls or something. Nothing special, just gets the job done.

Field Notes Expedition: Awesome $13 notebooks that use a plasticy paper for writing in any conditions. Finally halfway through my first book, as I like to use all of the real estate available on each page. A bit worn, but character, right?

Amazon Special Wristwatch: There's so much conflicting branding everywhere, who knows who makes it. Anyway, have had it for a while and it seems to tell time. The band is a bit weird, but what would one expect for $16?

Car Keys: RIP me. I drive a minivan. sigh. Oh well, it's what I got.

Bottom Row:

Spyderco Tenacious: Perfect $40 knife if you don't want a beater and also don't want your wallet to scream in agony. I just need a good whetstone set to be able to do it justice.

Bose Soundsport Earbuds: Stay in my weird ears. I exercise regularly, but that doesn't mean I like it. Music helps me forget the lactic acid burning my muscles. They don't make the audio-only ones anymore, so here's a $99 pair for apple devices.

Wristbands: Air Force Academy in blue and Domestic Violence in purple. I wear these because I don't want to expose myself to the world of "Etsy." yikes.

Chrome Fisher Space Pen Bullet With Clip: ~$20 and so damn slippery. Awesome pen for being a pen, but I need something more practical for greasy hands. Any ideas? Not looking for anything more than like 30 bucks.

Kizer Vagnino Velox 2: A beautiful flipper on ballbearings. HOLY cow this thing flies out with vengeance and feels like a million bucks. A true gentleman's folder. However, I am not a gentleman... I see some ugly grip tape in it's future to make up for impracticality of no serrations on the back of the blade or handle for grip. Before anyone tries to complain about a 17 yr old with a $200 knife, I found 'er on Massdrop for $82 after shipping. Would I say it is worth the 13 hours of work needed to pay for it? Yes. Yes I would.

u/Gorthaur111 · 2 pointsr/BuyItForLife

The one I have was discontinued. The closest thing would be the Rotring Trio, but I also have one of those, and it's not quite as good. The multipen I have is the same design as the Rotring Rapid Pro line, which are all very good pens and pencils.

Pretty much every single review for the Bic For Her pens.

Here's two good ones:

"I received a set of these pens for my wedding. Unfortunately I can't write or type (my husband is actually typing for me.) However, I do so love the pretty colors. I've been learning how to write with them. They don't send me into a harsh frenzy of tears like regular pens do; nor do I find them sexually intimidating at all."

"I bought these pens because I grew tired of manly pens that were too robust for my dainty hands. However, I must warn all you post-menopausal BIC(R) For Her users that using these pens can reverse menopause. I am now pregnant with triplets. What do I do now?"

u/theta_abernathy · 2 pointsr/AskFeminists

I see your point, but I just can't get worked up about this. It's so obviously hyperbole. And some of these products are so, so awful (a catologue with dog heads, what?)

This is also how women make fun of "for her" products. Like those pens I mentioned earlier. "Can these pens write math?" "Yes, but not correctly. Send your daughter to beauty school instead." Or from men, "They have their own pens, what's next, voting and talking back?" "Got these for my wife. They didn't help her make sandwiches at all. Do not recommend." Like, that's just how people make fun of products.

u/kvetcheswithwolves · 2 pointsr/PharmacyTechnician

One girl at my store always gets the pharmacists something... a personalized badge holder or a neat pen or something. She's the only one who does, because what also happens is that the pharmacists throw a huge party for us and we all do a white elephant gift exchange but then the pharmacists will also get a personalized gift for someone sometimes, like maybe the lead tech or someone who just got married or something. My point is, mostly the pharmacists give US gifts.

Having said that, here are some ideas!

Chill Pill Bath Bombs

Highlighters that look like syringes

Chill Pill Ice Cube Molds

I just got a Fisher X-Mark Bullet yesterday and so far it has been nice. Quite a bit smaller than I expected, but that is a plus. The line is almost indistinguishable from a standard BIC, some people don't like that. I do a lot of ballpoint drawing with BICs. Hopefully there won't be a huge 'learning curve' with the Fisher to make it do exactly what I want.

The Gerber I bought at some local outfitters while travelling. It's about 4 or 5 years old. The pen I got from amazon.com to replace the one that I lost that didn't have the clip. The extra flashlight is only for when I carry the snubby, otherwise the little E05 is enough for me.

u/SwordOfBraavos · 1 pointr/penaddict

I would say it depends on where they are going. The safest answer is to get them Fisher Space Pens and Field Notes Expedition Editions.

The space pen will write anywhere, upside down or high/low altitudes because of the pressurized refills.

The FN Expeditions are plasticish paper that is water, rip and acid proof. They come in a 3 pack so 2 packs would be best.

If they are not going anywhere crazy, simple Uni-Ball Signo 207 is a perfectly fin and inexpensive pen. And you can get them at a store usually.

Then as far as notebooks go i would still go with Field Notes, their regular notebooks would work fine.

u/_Captain_ · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I've heard Snow Crash is really good. This is the pen brand that I really like. The ink flows well, when it runs out you can tell it's completely out and there is no ink left. And I like that the ink doesn't smudge at all when writing. It's not very sharp, not like a rollerball pen. But I love it.

u/jmdbcool · 1 pointr/DIY

I like the Pilot "better" ballpoint; I'm also partial to the Zebra F-301.

u/kurazaybo · 1 pointr/pens

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the most classic of Zebra pens, the F-301. You really can't go wrong with them. There is a 1.6mm bold refill if you want to go super bold. I prefer it because it feels much more smooth, but it last a lot less, unfortunately.

If you like it, you can upgrade to the F-701, which has a much more durable and heavy metal body.

The zebra surari with emulsion ink is a good choice too, check a review.

Bic pens are not bad, but I find them too thin and hate when the plastic cracks. The cap/clip is almost useless for me.

The papermate 100 RT looks more saturated to me (and writes more smoothly) than bics and is really inexpensive.

u/phauna · 1 pointr/scouting

For more novelty/aesthetic looking pens, I'd suggest the retro pens from Kikkerland, or the "Borrow My Pen" set from some other sort of seller. Knock Knock also has these funny pens that are very sturdy and on the inky side, but they come in certain phrases like "The Bitch Pen", "The WTF Pen", "Get Crap Done Pen", and "The Procrastination Pen", though the amazon seller doesn't seem to have it.

We used to not have wolves but as of a few months ago a lone gray wolf has descended south enough from Oregon that it officially became the first California gray wolf in decades.

I might live in a crowded city, but just a quick drive west into Malibu and her gorgeous mountain ranges and I get this sunset over the ocean.

California is like hell and heaven, all in one. The great frontier, even to this day. I can never live without the grandness of these mountains and terrain. Maybe, maybe Alaska, but California is just so amazingly wonderful.

I love these pens so much.

No idea which video you're talking about, but is this something like what you're looking for?

EDIT: on a side note, I'm thinking very seriously about purchasing this pen:

Thanks for the advice - I was wondering what "semi-flex" meant. I want to try "super duper extra" flex lol.

Is this the pen?

u/theonlysaviorCOD · 1 pointr/fountainpens

I would recommend a Pilot Custom Heritage 912 with a FA nib. And also a few shading inks like J.Herbin Emerald of Chivor, Noodler's Apache Sunset, and Noodler's Black Swan Australian Rose.

There are also several flex pens that have been restored by u/willvintage on sale over on his website.

How about a Rotring Rapid Pro ballpoint. It's slim and well built.

u/HugoChavezRamboIII · 1 pointr/pens

I saw this post yesterday and thought, "wow they make beautiful pens." Unfortunately this isn't that model as they've been discontinued (and are now VERY expensive on ebay), but I believe this to be it's successor.

I attached one of these things to my clipboard. Your solution might be better.
It is kinda hard to quantify, but I really think the clipboard has helped my tips.

Ok, so I don't have any double-ended brushes for this exact reason, but if by some chance, I just had to have one, I would go with something like this, this, or this. Not sure if any of those would actually work for you since you say you have a growing collection, but I thought they would be worth a mention.

You could get something like a pen holder and attach it to the thing you use the stylus with most (assuming it doesn't have one built in).

Something like: https://www.amazon.com/Pen-Pal-Holders-Assorted-PENPAL-BP3/dp/B005HTU45U

u/imfracturedbutwhole · 1 pointr/Surface

I've used this on the back of my device and haven't looked back: https://www.amazon.com/Pen-Pal-Holders-Assorted-PENPAL-BP3/dp/B005HTU45U/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1506711048&sr=8-2&keywords=pen+pal+pen+holder

Unfortunately slightly too fat for the sides

Yes, but maybe don't get the 5 pack.

Here's a pen version.

I didn't know that existed... used the Super Black "Flat Black" instead.. it's not a good match which is why I covered most of the flare. This is what I used.. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JSAE0ZY I'm still looking for a better match in case I need to cover something more visible... Although so far I don't mind the dings/scratches I'm getting on My ARs or my suppressors. It just shows I use them.

For surface scratches and general touch up, I've used Birchwood Casey Super Black Touch-Up Pen, Flat. I filed a handle smooth and used this to touch up. Was pretty happy. 8/10.

You mean one of these?

I do pizza delivery, I "loose" these things all the time.

Thanks! Are you using the tilt on the Microsoft Surface Pen Model 1776 (EYU-00009) or one of its different colors?

Did you install this HP firmware update? The description says the update is for HP's Tilt Pen (which I don't have) and that it fixes inaccurate display of battery status. Do you know if the update is required to avoid issues with the Microsoft Surface Pen? When attempting the update, it asks to first pair the HP Tilt Pen, so I canceled it. Does the update install into the screen digitizer, pen, or both?

You could order it from Amazon.com tho it says usually ships within 1 to 2 months

u/guybrush3000 · 1 pointr/Surface

Hey I'm glad it's working for you now. I think that's the pen I already have. Is it this same one? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072K5TXGT/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It's weird for me right now because the problem will sometimes not crop up for an entire session. And other times happen immediately upon loading something.

u/Demetrius3D · 0 pointsr/EDC

A Fisher Space Pen, Mini-Sharpie and vintage brass bullet pencil in a small belt pouch. Or, a Zebra T3 and Zebra TS3 in my pocket kit.

u/fluminea · -1 pointsr/fountainpens

FA stands for Falcon nib. It's the nib used on the Pilot Namiki Falcon pens.

Sometimes can be found on other Pilot pens (ex. Custom Heritage 912)... but at this point I'm not even sure if these ones are the exact same nib used on the actual Falcon line.

EDIT: From what I've gathered, the FA nib refers to Falcon nibs. You can get them on the Pilot Namiki Falcon, or the Pilot CH742/CH912. On the Namiki Falcon, they look a bit funny whereas on the CH line, they look more normal. The Falcon nibs on the CH line are supposed to be more flexible.

This.

Maybe not. That was too snarky.

Things I always enjoy are small cheeses from local areas. Small, dumb nick-knacks from local places. Timber Village is good for that.

Shit, just pictures that have some background behind your friend (They grew up next to a specific, notable area or something. Get them a framed picture of that.)

Or are you looking for something more jokeish? If so, get the pen. :p

Edit: Lmao, guess people don't like jokes.
