Fm tuner for your car. Also have them with built in battery.

I've been using these things since I started driving damn near a decade and a half ago in my 1998 Plymouth Voyager.

FM Bluetooth Transmitter Should work for you.

u/akai_ferret ยท 12 pointsr/raspberry_pi

I'm pretty sure there's a power limit you have to go over before the FCC comes knocking.
As long as the signal strength is fairly low I don't think it's going to be illegal.
No different than those audiojack dongles that transmit a short range FM signal you tune into with your car radio.

That's what I'm doing as well, I bought this one on Amazon, and the audio quality sounds excellent to me. You can do AUX output via audio cable, or use the FM transmitter. I'm using the AUX cable.

The charging ports it has will charge your phone, but it doesn't fast charge.

u/Thatuserguy ยท 9 pointsr/amazonecho

So I haven't tested this, but I THINK this should actually work for what you want. It does require you buying extra stuff though, and it's certainly not the most cost effective thing in the world either.

First off, you need to buy a 2-way headphone splitter. Plug the male end into the audio out on your Dot. Then buy two bluetooth transmitters that plug into audio ports (like this one or this one).

Those transmitters I linked are able to stream to two bluetooth receivers at once, meaning you can stream to all three of your speakers (and potentially upgrade to four later) just using two transmitters.

Then it's just a matter of pairing the transmitters with your speakers. Theoretically, Alexa should start playing through all of them at the same time if you set it up right. Again, not the most cost effective thing in the world, but it should work, assuming you're using the speakers within range of the transmitters anyways. The transmitters need electricity, so there will be wires regardless though. Sadly not much you can do about that as far as I'm aware.

u/KneeDeepInTheDead ยท 5 pointsr/starterpacks

you can get an FM transmitter (i have this one), I got this one a while back, lasts me about a week before I need to charge it (usb)

u/erpvertsferervrywern ยท 5 pointsr/essential

The only option to go wireless will occupy your c-port always.

A qi receiver is attached (under a case) to allow charging on a qi charging mat.

This means no headphones or aux unless you have the HD Audio accessory.

If you don't care about wired sound, you can connect to other things via Bluetooth.

Here's a link to some hardware:

I use the optical out on a Sonos Connect attached to a Bluetooth transmitter to listen on my Bluetooth headphones. It's fine for music, where the delay doesn't matter, but don't expect to be able to use it for tv/video, as the audio will be way out of sync. It works great. This is the transmitter that I bought: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016NIOOH2/

Also, having the Connect has allowed me to rig up a turntable to play across the Sonos system. Works like a charm.

Normally I would not recommend these for car installations because they need to be charged and all of them I have used do not work while charging. Meaning you can't have a "permenant" installation because you would need to disconnect it from power before the unit will actually kick on.

But if you move in to and out of cars for work purposes then this will be really handy.

If you want a more permenant setup that uses Bluetooth, I have this and it works great:

https://www.amazon.com/Rockford-RFBTAUX-Universal-Bluetooth-Streaming/dp/B00I4WYXAO

Griffin also makes a similar one:

https://www.amazon.com/Griffin-Technology-BlueTrip-iPhone-Smartphones/dp/B004KPLS7K

If you'd prefer to have the lightning cable take care of the audio transmission, then preorder this one:

u/xanatori ยท 4 pointsr/ipod

I'm using a KOKKIA i10s with my iPod Classic 7G and AirPods. It costs $60, but its really worth it! https://www.amazon.com/KOKKIA-i10s-Black-Bluetooth-Transmitter/dp/B004SH40BQ/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1538599448&sr=8-3 Works with my bluetooth speaker as well.

u/cdemer ยท 4 pointsr/hometheater

We connect 4 Bluetooth headphones at the same time for a few of our tests. To do so, we use 2x https://www.amazon.com/MEE-audio-Universal-Headphone-Transmitter/dp/B016NIOOH2, and a Y splitter connected to a line out. Not the most user friendly solution but it works.

u/guyanonymous ยท 4 pointsr/AskReddit

One of these: http://www.amazon.com/0-5-Fail-Safe-Long-Range-Transmitter/dp/B003FO4UHW/ (if they'll ship it your way...they shipped on to Canada)

There's a picture of it in an iPod Nano on that page also. It stuck out about an inch or so? Maybe less? It wasn't too bad.

u/bungalowmoe ยท 3 pointsr/houston

I haven't used the broadcaster version in a long time since my recent cars don't require it.

I use to have a small broadcaster version similar to these:

https://www.amazon.com/Handsfree-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Compatible-Smartphones/dp/B01M0SFMIH/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=iclever+bluetooth+car+receiver&qid=1566404404&s=electronics&sr=1-4

https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-Transmitter-Receiver-Microphone-Announcement/dp/B0785NSRYL/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

but there are hundreds of them and they get pretty big in size.

u/Giving_You_FLAC ยท 3 pointsr/fireTV

Bluetooth doesn't work that way, the fire tv would need two separate BT radios for that to work. The best you'll get would likely be something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Technica-AT-PHA05BT-Bluetooth-Headphone-Amplifier/dp/B0065V9TXC

It's a BT headphone amp- so you'd set this up to be the BT "headphones" for the FTV, then use a headphone splitter to feed two pairs of wired headphones.

If you have a headphone out from your speaker system or TV (depending on how things are set up) you could go headphone out to one of these which has dual BT radios for 2 sets of BT headphones: https://www.amazon.com/MEE-audio-Universal-Headphone-Transmitter/dp/B016NIOOH2

Note: I have used none of these products, but they appear to be two examples of workarounds for your scenario. Best of luck!

u/jmk3 ยท 3 pointsr/bapcsalescanada

I'm using an Mpow on the HP50. I also have a Fiio BTR3 which I use for iems. If you have a bigger budget then you could also go for the Earstudio ES100.

u/Makegooduseof ยท 3 pointsr/ipod

As annoying as the floppy dongle would be, the 3.5mm solution is the most reliable one out there.

There are some models that, while they still stick out like a sore thumb, try to keep the package as compact as possible. Hereโ€™s one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00IQYC4R4/ref=psdcmw_9926003011_t1_B01KXIKCSI

u/rocketwidget ยท 3 pointsr/boston

On my last two cars, I replaced the crappy Honda/Toyota radio with a Bluetooth radio myself, for less than $100.

That's a bit of work though, so you could always get one of these (FM or Aux in from Bluetooth):

https://www.amazon.com/Upgraded-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Sumind-Hands-Free/dp/B0756WZ2V3?th=1

u/Lord_Ka1n ยท 3 pointsr/cars

You sure? It looks like they're about $20, lol. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01NAT2U02/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A2J7K8AZ6ZYFQB&psc=1

I'm hesitant to get any new units because the car is an 89 IROC and is original minus the radio. I don't want some weird looking Pioneer or anything in this car. If anything I'd probably get an old OEM replacement and use a cassette adapter.

u/cstallings04 ยท 3 pointsr/NintendoSwitch

I have this one. Thereโ€™s no charging pass through but it is the smallest profile for an adapter that I have ever seen.

u/acidrainteardrops ยท 2 pointsr/NoStupidQuestions

It's got a headphone jack, right? Try one of these.

A lot of those are for cars and need a cigarette lighter adapter, but this one is rechargeable. There's probably others that would work that way as well.

u/Biblos_Geek ยท 2 pointsr/PS4

Hi, I make the 2E1 stereo headphone for the single sided deaf. Have you explored the possibilities of using a bluetooth broadcaster?

It will allow the audio signal to be transmitted via bluetooth and sync-up with your hearing aid.

Literally the 2nd hit on Google (the first being this wiki) if you Google "wireless usb", as one might think to do after reading the first 3 sentences of the wiki:

http://www.amazon.com/Cables-Unlimited-Wireless-Transmitter-Receiver/dp/B0036VNZHA

You are fired.

u/raygundan ยท 2 pointsr/Showerthoughts

They're so limited in transmit power that they're never great if there are a lot of stations nearby.

What you want instead is an FM Modulator which converts the signal to an FM "broadcast" the same way as the transmitter-- but instead of transmitting it super-weakly, it plugs directly into the antenna port on the back of your old car stereo and sends the signal down the wire straight into the receiver.

u/yhozumi ยท 2 pointsr/NintendoSwitch

If you look at the spec sheet Bluetooth codecs are in English so yeah itโ€™s a Bluetooth dongle. If youโ€™re looking for a good Bluetooth dongle I recommend this one:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WMPTF7V/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_LNHJDb7HH2HEZ

Just came out this month. Iโ€™ve used countless Bluetooth adapter for the switch and this is the best one for me. Here are the reasons.

  1. Super low profile. Itโ€™s not sticking out and being annoying
  2. LED indicators are on the bottom. Other competitors have it up front and itโ€™s annoying gaming in the dark.
u/ces715 ยท 2 pointsr/NintendoSwitch

Come on Nintendo, it's 2017, get with the times. >8(

At least there's a workaround...

u/jacked_monkey ยท 2 pointsr/cars

I didnโ€™t have a Mazda 3, but I did use a BT adapter that transmitted to FM radio. Worked pretty damn well. This Is the adapter that I bought.

u/howboutmaybe ยท 2 pointsr/infiniti

Buy one of those. If the '11 model is like my '07. The is a lighter plug inside the arm rest so it won't even show.

You phone probably can handle two bluetooth devices. The transmitter for music and the car for calls.

Edit: bad link

u/phixional_ninja ยท 2 pointsr/xboxone

I recently did exactly that to use my QC35s. I got the MEE Audio Connect:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016NIOOH2/

There is lag, but it's only really noticeable if you have your TV speakers on at the same time and listen to both at once.

I also wouldn't be recommending it if you hadn't specified using a optical connectionโ€”I tried analogue first, and the audio quality and lag were both awful. With optical though, I've been using this setup for most of my gaming for the past few months and I find it very convenient.

u/elypnagol ยท 2 pointsr/NintendoSwitch
u/cty_hntr ยท 2 pointsr/subaru

Short of changing the head unit, look into a FM transmitter.

Here's one that has bluetooth, speaker and plays MP3 of of Micro SD cards

u/GingaCougar ยท 2 pointsr/iphone

No worries! So far I'm very happy about the switch. It seems like only Samsung is keeping the headphone jack at the moment, and I don't enjoy their software. And it seems more like I should get a solid 3 days off the XR between charges so I'm very happy at the moment.

This is the converter I will most likely order:

u/tafluhr ยท 2 pointsr/Acura

I've had my TL-S for almost two years and probably used the HFL <10 times. The cost of replacing the box depends on how much you use the phone in the car.

I found a great option for audio that I use everyday.
https://www.amazon.com/Rockford-RFBTAUX-Universal-Bluetooth-Streaming/dp/B00I4WYXAO

u/JMMMBA ยท 2 pointsr/Chromecast

Are the speakers hooked up to the TV or through a receiver? If through a receiver, how about hooking up the turntable to an FM transmitter to broadcast to the radio (pre-amp needed?)?

Somthing like this: http://www.amazon.com/0-5-Fail-Safe-Long-Range-Transmitter/dp/B003FO4UHW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1418314018&sr=8-1&keywords=Rca+Input+Fm+Transmitter

If the speakers go straight to the tv, I'd suggest a pre-amp and bluetooth transmitter on the turntable end and a bluetooth receiver on the TV end.

u/Speye ยท 2 pointsr/Doesthisexist

May be more practical to get a wireless USB solution... like http://www.iogear.com/product/GUWIP204/ or http://www.amazon.com/HDE-over-Extension-Cable-Adapter/dp/B002WJ9S6Y (not wireless but can give you USB over Cat-5) or http://www.amazon.com/Cables-Unlimited-USB-WIRELESS-Dongle-Black/dp/B001GV00ZM or http://www.amazon.com/Cables-Unlimited-Wireless-Transmitter-Receiver/dp/B0036VNZHA.

Ultimately it may be more economically feasible to get a wireless device if you will be using it for a limited applications like a native bluetooth or wireless controller in your example above.

u/to_switch_or ยท 2 pointsr/NintendoSwitch

However I have an apple watch and iphone x and it can switch seamlessly between the devices so this is the benefit of the W1 chip. Also if you have the latest range of Ipads I think they all seemlessly connect.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/HAVIT-Bluetooth-Transmitter-Receiver-Wireless-black/dp/B0185GZMMQ/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1521115403&sr=8-11&keywords=bluetooth+transmitter

u/SubGothius ยท 2 pointsr/BuyItForLife

Speaking of which, even if your car stereo unit doesn't have one of these dedicated CD changer or satellite radio connectors, there's one solution that will work with any FM car radio and isn't a short-range transmitter: an RF modulator (FM modulator).

This is what early aftermarket CD changers used. Rather than broadcasting an FM signal over the air, the modulator gets added inline with your antenna lead (antenna lead plugs into the modulator, modulator plugs into your radio's antenna jack), so it can insert your aux line input as an FM radio signal directly through the antenna lead itself.

u/ahockeyjock ยท 2 pointsr/MAME

While that can happen, it's not always an issue. Case in point the Xbox One default controllers are wireless WITH audio and mic even... No lag. All the high quality wireless controllers going back to original Xbox and PS2.

Also, what about the tons of wireless USB keyboard and mice? A mouse has to be accurate and fast, and you would notice bad lag. Not as intensive as a game, but still the technology is flawless for that. Controllers CAN lag but don't HAVE to. The new Retrons use BT and are pretty slick example of BT option.

OP: look up "wireless USB transmitter" (not wireless USB adapter; that'll get you all the wireless internet dongles). You'll find ones like this:

www.amazon.com/Cables-Unlimited-Wireless-Transmitter-Receiver/dp/B0036VNZHA#

Check reviews about lag, pick one of those with your favorite stick!

I got this one, the route+
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07G49WFVK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It does come with an adapter so you can plug it into the dock. Iโ€™ve tried with my non low latency Sony noise cancelling headphones and it works well, pairs easily. I checked in lip sync scenes like the telltale Batman game and Wolfenstein and the sound does match up with the animation, but in other games it feels like thereโ€™s a very minor lag, like 0.5 sec or less. Probably has more to do with the headphones since theyโ€™re not the low latency kind. The nice thing is, I use the skull and co grip and the adapter has an extended usb connector so you can use it while having the case on.

Edit: should also point out I did use the charge pass through just fine, did not brick my switch. Used official charger.

I've used this one with success. In one car I tried it though it didn't fit in the cars lighter? But that's rare and then you could return it.

As far as wireless

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B018QN4INM/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1481344686&sr=8-3&pi=SY200_QL40&keywords=wireless+fm+transmitter&dpPl=1&dpID=417n6cZ7biL&ref=plSrch

I liked this one a lot. It might not fit in all cases but it did with mine and taking my case off wasn't a hassle, there are also extenders you can get. But the battery easily lasts 6+ hours of constant use. Which is great because it's only a micro USB to charge so if you have a portable battery or a car charger you're golden

u/sixbux ยท 2 pointsr/audible

I looked into a number of different options and this was the solution I eventually settled on. Sound quality is easily good enough for simple narration, and if you get an fm transmitter with bluetooth you can have it auto-pair with your phone when you get in. Won't find a better method at that price range.

Connect like how?

Also there is no Echo Gen 3 yet, there is an Echo Dot gen 3, though.

As far as I know none of the Echo devices have an audio input.

There do exist devices that can transmit over Bluetooth from an audio source, such as this whihc comes with an RCA-3.5mm adapter, although you could get probably any other BT transmitter and a separate RCA-3.5mm adapter.

u/AthrunZX09A ยท 1 pointr/cars

If you're hell bent on Aux installs, and want to keep the factory look, consider an in-dash FM modulator (like this one).

The way I see it though, joshuamnr is right - you should ditch the whole Aux idea and go bluetooth, because the quality is way better, plus it's a nice upgrade. I know that BMW head units are complicated though, and fits are not easy. I had a pioneer AVH series in my Jetta and I loved it - quality was awesome, and the screen was easy to see in the sunlight.

Has anyone considered using a laptop to power a Vive? by dkudriavtsev

I was browsing gaming laptops and I found a few laptops that are very portable and that have long battery life. That led me to thinking that you could easily purchase a battery pack like this one and plug in the Vive to that, to play VR games and not be tied to a computer.

The base stations would be attached to the laptop with wireless USB adapters like this one or this one.

This setup would not be ideal, because of battery life and USB adapter signal loss concerns, but you would have much more mobility than a standard VR setup, and you could make the play area larger without running into cord length issues.

Any thoughts?

There's already plenty of BT transmitters with AptX-LL support, from USB ones for PC/Mac use, to models more suited for home theater use with optical input and the ability to stream to two headphones simultaneously, and even USB-C stuff meant for the Nintendo Switch...

I dunno how adaptive AptX stacks up latency-wise, seems like a riff on the variable bitrate ability of LDAC but I've not seen a lot of transmitters with LDAC either and that's been out longer... So it might be a while for adaptive AptX. AptX-LL works more than fine for TV watching or gaming tho...

I just picked up a switch compatible usb-a bluetooth adapter I plan to use while docked. There are a few usb-a options and tons of usb-c options that work with the switch for bluetooth headphone support.

This was the smallest usb-a adapter I could find with switch support that I ordered earlier today

Creative usb-a

There's plenty of other options via usb-c, some with their own usb-c port so that you can use the bluetooth adapter and still charge the switch and others that are smaller but without that feature. With these you can always pick up a usb-c to usb-a adapter for a few dollars to use with the dock too. Some even include a usb-c to usb-a adapter.

I am controlling wireless sockets with my pi and a 433 MHz transmitter and it works flawlessly, so might be worth a thought

If you are looking into wiring them to the gpio pins, you have to make sure you find a dedicated relais that is able to switch the voltage and current and can be used with the pi. But please be careful when handling those. Don't just cut the cable and drill and place the wires into the relais. Use something like this to make sure you get a good contact. You are dealing with a lot of power afterall.

Sorry, English is not my first language :D

I got this one from Amazon that works both ways for around the same price. Lets you connect a Bluetooth source to anything with only a 3.5mm plug or lets you use Bluetooth headphones/speakers on anything with only 3.5mm out. Just turn it off, flip a switch, and turn it back on to change modes. Charges with micro-USB and a think a 12ish hour battery life, but i keep mine plugged in all the time. Main reason I got it is to use my Bluetooth headphones on my work computer, but works pretty well hooked up to my TV so as to not wake people up when I use my Xbox (already have a PS4 headset and couldn't justify buying an Xbox one too).

I would post a request over in r/vintageaudio asking about the value of keeping the gear you inherited.

Pyle makes cheap equipment, both in price and quality. I recommend avoiding the brand.

I don't have a good recommendation for a better phono preamp, unfortunately. I don't have much recent experience with vinyl.

You'll need a Bluetooth transmitter. The Esinkin box is a receiver, it won't send your audio. Perhaps something like this:

https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07198BBZN/

For the speakers, I like SMSL amps. They're tiny, powerful, and dependable. The AD18 would give you a built-in bluetooth receiver and a remote:

Three ways to do this, from merely okay to great...

  1. FM transmitter. Will probably work, but results can be hit or miss. If you live somewhere where there's a lot of radio stations, it can be difficult to find a frequency where there's no interference.
  2. FM modulator. Something like this will work: https://www.amazon.com/Scosche-FM-MOD01-Modulator-satellite-portable/dp/B0007THIDQ You'll also need antenna adapters since VW don't use the universal plug. I used something similar to get an iPod into an AM/FM radio for years. Much better than a FM transmitter since it's hard wired to the radio, and completely disconnects the antenna when it's in use do you don't get channel interference.
  3. Aux adapter. Much better, since it talks directly to the radio. Something like this: https://www.crutchfield.com/p_249BTSVW2/Crux-BTS-VW2-Bluetooth-Interface.html Some of these allow any radio or steering wheel control to work with a blue tooth device for track skip, etc.

u/ClintSlunt ยท 1 pointr/Cordcutting

In my experience, consumer devices that "support" certain third-party services never do a good job, and the update cycle is dismal -- if it happens at all.

Sometimes the basics are the best. I bought an FM transmitter and I can distribute any line-level-out sound around the house to any FM radio.

I cannot control the music remotely, but if I wanted that, I'd just use my phone as a source and take it from room to room moving it from docking station to docking station.

u/meatwad75892 ยท 1 pointr/leapmotion

Wireless USB transmitters exist, but A) they're expensive, B) they're finicky, and C) they're pretty slow and the latency would be way too high to be usable for most applications. I imagine latency would be the biggest killer.

The only way a wireless Leap Motion is happening(and to be usable) is with a whole new version of the hardware with a wireless radio that can handle the latency needs for the Leap. Different uses will obviously call for varying degrees of latency before the experience is muddled, so I don't know what type of wireless tech it'd take to achieve those needs. BT4.2? Wi-fi Direct? Something proprietary?

I went the ultra cheap route, and bought a Bluetooth Stereo Transmitter similar to the one linked. I load music onto a card from time to time and listen that way. I have almost zero control over what I'm listening to through it, but since I put every song on the card, I usually don't want to skip through it anyway.
Some of the guys on Facebook are selling new stereos, where you glue the removable faceplate of the radio to the dash, and mount the rest of the radio behind the fairing. There are even ways to make the stock radio controls work with the aftermarket radio. Good luck in your ventures!

u/chauboii ยท 1 pointr/PS4

I have a solution that will not be broken by updates from Sony (as far as I can imagine)
An optical\TOSLINK audio to Bluetooth transmitter.

*Note that this is only to stream game audio to your Bluetooth headset and NOT for mic INPUT.

I bought a TosBlue-x from http://telme2.com/. They are based in Norway so shipping times will be a little long. It has 3.5mm and optical audio inputs, and outputs to Bluetooth with aptx for low latency audio.

I have not used it for the PS4, but have tested with other optical output devices and donโ€™t see why it wouldnโ€™t work for the PS4 since its taking audio from the toslink connector and has nothing to do with the PS4s ridiculous Bluetooth restrictions. I paired it with my Sony MDR-XT950BT without any issues. If I power off the transmitter, I've had to repair it every time I power it back on (minor inconvenience). (Will test with PS4 soon to curb any doubts)

Since then I've found a gadget on Amazon that achieves the same thing, but can transmit to two headset for less than the cost of the TosBlue-X.

MEE transmitter - I have not used this but in theroy, it should work, assuming your headset can pair to it and support its profiles.
http://www.amazon.com/MEE-audio-Universal-Headphone-Transmitter/dp/B016NIOOH2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1452488023&sr=8-1&keywords=toslink+to+bluetooth

Best of all, you can source the optical audio (or 3.5mm if you must) out from your TV, so you can transmit all TV sounds to your headset instead of just the PS4!!

For mic input, just plug in the included headset and hang it on your neck or from your ear or something.

Sure. Thing is tho I used a scissor to alter the bottom of the S&C grip case. If you look on the back of grip going about an inch up from bottom and mostly thru middle of the back of case from side to side there is an indent that surrounds the open plug on bottom of Switch. I cut using that line. Has no impact on stability of case. But now I can use any adapter I want.

First I bought this one which works just fine: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07L9V1FCF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Same. An older model (2004 3.0L H6), currently at 130,000 miles. I absolutely love the thing. It's all the car I think I'll ever need. It's spacious enough that you can move a heck of a lot of stuff with it, it's powerful enough that if you put your foot down you get decent acceleration even at 60-70 mph, it gets half-decent mileage (~25 mpg) and it is small enough that it doesn't feel like a "big" car.

I was starting to get an itch to get a new (to me) car, since there are some things it doesn't have, but I have recently put in a 12V bluetooth FM transmitter thing (like this - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M0SFMIH/). In short - Raspberry Pi + RF433 transmitter/receivers + your plugs.

Sniff the RF codes, then have a local network page that sends out the on/off codes to the plugs through the pi and transmitters.

Feel free to message me if you get stuck or need more detail, some of it I found slightly fiddly and not terribly well explained. Raspberry Pi pinouts here, you can use the 5V pins to power the transmitters on a breadboard.

So, with the holidays and all it took a while. Basically, you can do it. I used this Bluetooth to FM transmitter for my TJ before i had the option to install my deck into the TJ.

However if you are looking to use a deck I 100% recommend a Pioneer that's bluetooth ready. It's the easiest deck to pair to and use and the cost is low. (Literally find the deck model number in your bluetooth menu and connect to it) And bam it's connected. You don't need to go into any settings on the deck or anything (BT does need to be on). Stop by a display at a car audio place and try it. stupid easy.
