edit: thanks for the comments guys, here they are
Phase 1 - Amazon
Phase 2 - Amazon
Phase 3 Part 1 - Amazon
Region free but UK box looks like if that matters to you. Personally I'll only rebuy if they release in 4k since I own ~half of them
I've been following this release for a while now. I believe the bluray lacks 5.1 sound. For anyone interested, the article links to a good sale by amazon.

69.99 isn't bad. I'm really hoping amazon Canada posts a similar deal.

Phase 2
Phase 3 - Part 1
Thanks =)
Also I recommend Twist of the Wrist II. The DVD is entertaining in a "Vanilla Ice 1980's" sort of way.
Here you go: Friends

You have some catching up to do.
If you don't want to see more about this, you could watch The Tick over on Amazon Video.

To add onto your statement:
The DVD collection of the series is pretty cheap. 20 at wal mart if I remember correctly. And at one point they were on Hulu and Netflix but I don't know for certain.
Edit:yep 20 on Amazon and you can find these at almost any wal mart I'm sure. Best buy might sell it for like 25.
Avatar - The Last Airbender: The Complete Series https://www.amazon.com/dp/B011MUA592/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_ihA4AbHVA65PY
While I love the Firefly graphic novels and your girlfriend probably is a keeper, unless she writes her thesis in half an hour, you're going to need to find something else to do.

It depends how much you care about accuracy, but Sony TVs tend to be fairly accurate out of the box with only a few basic settings changes (you can find them on our review). For these varying room conditions you can adjust the 'Brightness' on the X900E.
There are a few ways to adjust the image yourself, but these won't be as accurate as a calibration with 'real' measurements. A popular example is the Spears and Munsil calibration disk. There are other free test patterns you can use a PC or Blu-ray player to send though.
Yes, you need a Prime membership, the shows will not be available for purchase viewing without a membership (at least to start with).
Here is the season 1 landing page.
Homecoming is in this box set so... maybe??
The "Martinis and Medicine" box set, specifically, allows watching without the laugh track.
It's available used through Amazon for $110.
While you're there, do yourself a favor and check out The Grand Tour.
A few films I would check out:
Films I would avoid:
Films that you should watch with friends for some laughs:
If you need help finding these films, here are some links for some packs on amazon that can fill up your collection pretty quickly.
I hope this helped in some way. Have fun watching them. If you have anymore questions, don't hesitate to ask.
EDIT: I should add that Godzilla vs Gigan, and Godzilla vs Megalon are two films that are great to watch with friends as well.
EDIT 2: Heck, watch all the Godzilla films with your friends, each one has something special to enjoy.
Amazon is going to be your best option. There are no large retailers that carry them (unless somehow you get really lucky) and most used shops only have the American '98 out the ass, but some will carry Godzilla 2000 or the occasional Final Wars (from my experience, they're still kinda rare).
The most popular starting point is usually [the Godzilla Collection] (http://www.amazon.com/The-Godzilla-Collection-Yuriko-Hoshi/dp/B000VXWK86/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1374173466&sr=8-1&keywords=godzilla). It includes 6 of the Showa series and is a great deal considering the price.
Godzilla VS. Biollante is DIRT cheap and is a really good movie from the Heisei era IMO. The rest of the Heisei series can be purchased as double packs for a reasonable price. However, Godzilla '84 (the 1st of the Heisei) has never been released on DVD outside of Japan.
After that you can pretty much collect the entire Millennium series for a reasonable price. None of them are in rare status and you should be able to pick them up with ease for less than $10.
Other than that, there are some OOP DVDs from the Showa series that are 1. extremely hard to find or 2. really expensive.
>savvy enough to torrent it if you want to watch it.
Or, and I know this may be a shocking thought to some of you, pay for it.

Before you accuse me of killing someone, you may want to double-check your information with someone who actually knows something about riding. In this case, I refer to Keith Code. Clearly you haven't heard of him, but take my word for it, he knows a little bit about cornering. The information can be found in his book: Twist of the Wrist II. In fact, its in chapter 4.
Or, if you prefer, the following information is taken word-for-word from the "Twist of the Wrist II" DVD. If you have it, pop it in and go to 26:48 and follow along with the words below:
> "Riders are often confused about why the bike initially stands up and runs wide when they get off the gas mid-turn.
>Once into your lean and the gas is rolled off, weight transfers to the front of the bike, compressing the forks. That weight goes to the front tire, and spreads out the contact patch. This creates additional drag on the patch to the inside of the centerline of the bike. That drag countersteers the bike upwards and it runs wide. The whole thing can seem confusing, especially as the rider expects to tighten the turn when he rolls of the gas, and he finds the opposite of that happening. A moment later, since the gas is off, the bike slows, leans further over and finally tightens up the turn.
>Applying brakes mid-corner creates the same effect. When the weight transfers forward, the result is the same: the bike stands up.
>A static throttle slows the bike as well. Again, the bike tends to run wide. This effect is even more pronounced at higher speeds and steeper lean angles. Getting on the gas too hard, too soon will also send the bike off line: wide."

Not Movies: (just in case)
This one comes with 8 movies. All of them are really good films.
Hey bud. Welcome. Go see frank at quickfix cycles. Its a very local shop but frank is good an honest. They are a repair shop mostly, but frank has a lot of used bikes to buy too. He can help you get a moped, find a lock and give you any info you need to get started. Call 546-0426. Tell him Aubrey sent you.
Also, have you ridden anything before? Either way go buy this DVD and watch it. http://www.amazon.com/Twist-Wrist-II-Keith-Code/dp/0965045072/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1418249708&sr=8-1&keywords=twist+of+the+wrist+dvd
Its intended for sport bike riders, that's where I first began riding, but all the techniques and defensive riding ideas apply just as well to mopeds. Its saved my ads several times. Pm me if you want any more help.
This video was very helpful for me.
sorry could not find it without the subtitles.
amazon.
It is old but is one of the most relevant materials that I am aware of.
Special attention to the survival reaction part, it covers all the counter intuitive things that an unexperienced rider can do.
For safety matters it is a must watch
The second time I met Victoria (/u/chooter), she recommended Ready Player One and The Room to me. I'm not sure exactly what that says about her, but it's something good, I think :)

Firefly: The Complete Series [Blu-ray] (2014)
Price: $18.49
---
This is at least the 2nd time during this sale someone posted the higher priced listing instead.
Blade Runner (30th Anniversary Collector's Edition) [Blu-ray] https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008M4MB8K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_Enkzyb55ZE49V
I think the heart of the matter is, in the words of Gabe Newell (Blessed be His name);
"We think there is a fundamental misconception about piracy. Piracy is almost always a service problem and not a pricing problem," he said. "If a pirate offers a product anywhere in the world, 24 x 7, purchasable from the convenience of your personal computer, and the legal provider says the product is region-locked, will come to your country 3 months after the US release, and can only be purchased at a brick and mortar store, then the pirate's service is more valuable."
I used to pirate video games all the time, but since I stated using Steam I've almost completely stopped it. I already have more games in my library than I could possibly finish playing for the foreseeable future, and it's provided by an affordable and reliable service. There's just no reason for me to look elsewhere.
The Anime industry needs to emulate this. Today I can legally download a huge selection of video games but for most anime shows legal streams are simply not available. There needs to be a reliable service which doesn't block out big parts of the world. Not to justify my piracy but I do think producers share some of the blame for why piracy is as widespread as it is. Why is it completely impossible for me to legally watch their show even if I'm willing to pay for it?
It's also the fact that often buying these shows is outrageously expensive. I mean, just compare:
The first 7 Episodes of Sword Art online on DVD cost about as much as the full second season of Game of Thrones on Blu-ray
The limited edition Blu-ray release of the 11 episode run of Nisemonogatari costs about the same as Pre-ordering the entire 62 episode run of Breaking bad on blu-ray
The first season of Haruhi Suzumiya on DVD costs more than All 8 Harry Potter movies on Blu-ray
It may look like I'm cherrypicking but I'm really not. When you buy anime the amount of content you get for your money is far less than if you spend that same amount of money on western shows. This is one of the reasons I own relatively few anime series. I can only accept these kinds of prices if I absolutely must own the show. I do hope you take the price factor into consideration, I feel it's often overlooked and I do think it's one of the things that keeps sales so low. I mean, Haruhi came out 7 years ago. Western shows that old can usually be found for peanuts. One Anime I genuinely wanted to buy was Shinsekai Yori but the series was split in 9 Volumes each costing about 50-80$. Even as a huge fan of the series I just don't have that kind of money.

There are the "phase box sets" That range in the $60-75 range
Phase 1 Set
Phase 2 Set
Phase 3, Pt.1 Set
At the current price these are listed (these fluctuate quite a bit, if you're patient you can get these a bit cheaper) you're looking at right around the $200 mark... assuming there will be a similar package for Phase 3, pt2 (Black Panther - SM:FFH) add another $70 for that set. So all in all you're looking at $250-300 for the full set of 23 films when it's all said and done if you go this route.
(These sets also have slightly more expensive versions as well that have some collective cards/nicer packaging)
I've got all three of these sets, and they've been pretty good for me. Each disc has the original features of the regular blu-ray release.. There is an additional bonus disc for each set, but it kind of sucks to be honest.... Still though.. If you haven't been collecting all the films as they've been released, and wanted to get them in one big haul, this is certainty an option, and I'm really happy with the ones I purchased.

You mean the barrel set, right?
Yup. And for only $86 too.. No bluray has been announced. Alternatively there are eight "volume sets". Season 1 and 2 are in the first volume and every subsequent one is a full season. Every episode is the original broadcast too so you don't have any cut scenes like in reruns.
It's on Amazon
Whoops, that's the old one. Here's the new one
It's a TV show on the BBC (England) about cars.
It used to be popular, but the BBC sacked the main hosts and they went to Amazon Prime to make the 'Grand Tour' show. Amazon has released a game about that as well earlier this year 'The Grand Tour Game'. I got it for free (GwG ? or was it on PC with Twitch Prime ?, I cannot remember), haven't tried it yet.

Speaking in hyperbole the whole time, especially referring to them as "MRAssholes", doesn't make you right or even make me wanna take you seriously. I hope you realize that.
You are literally proving a point that they can't be taken seriously because when they try to bring up any of those points they get shouted down exactly like you are doing right now with strawmen, red herrings, and ad-hominem attacks. You are literally a prime example of the problem.
Bringing up single events/persons that you think represent a movement doesn't mean that they ARE the representation of a movement. A majority of men's rights are actively trying to solve the issues they face. But you just wanna shout them down because why? They threaten another movement that wants to what, remain the sole victims of a society? That's sad. I don't care and I'm sure they don't either.
May I suggest watching a documentary on this very subject. I quite enjoyed it. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XGY67WQ

If you live in the US, it's getting a bluray release in November. If you live in the UK, the bluray comes like the day before.
Both will come with the English dub, which I liked in theaters, as well as Japanese with English subs. It's about $27 as of right now so I'd recommend preordering, which I've done, in case the price goes down further or goes back up, but Amazon will charge you the lowest price even if it goes up.
The DVD version is now $1.99 with free Prime shipping, in case anyone's interested.

This.
That's cool. But like I said, it's not the same as a complete box set that many shows get, like LOST and Breaking Bad, which are in one box and include exclusive content not available in the individual seasons. TOS didn't get that complete series treatment... I doubt TNG will either.
Since OP is Newman, here is the link.
http://www.amazon.com/Seinfeld-Complete-Jerry/dp/B00EIJTLK4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1417163053&sr]
And as a side bar here: Give us a fucking Blu-ray already. Seinfeld deserves better than 480p and janky-ass "HD" cropped-all-to-shit broadcasts.
I think most of us here can relate to that "problem". If you've got the coin, the complete series is on Amazon for only $80. That's nothing to sneeze at considering I paid about $40 for each volume over the past ten years ($320 total). The company that put the DVDs together did an incredible job. Lots of behind the scenes interviews and commentaries that enhance the show.
Then again, I could understand why some people love watching the show in syndication more.
You really need to watch The Tick if that's your sort of thing. I swear, I binged a good amount of Marvel material on Netflix right before that one (Jessica Jones season 2 made me take a break...) and I liked that show more than all the Marvel stuff. It's not for everyone but the writing is excellent and the character development is so, SO good.
You know it's back?
Well then, you'd be surprised to learn that child support and other safety nets for single mothers have nothing to do with the child and everything to do with how society views men as disposable, walking wallets which are "not essential to the raising of children beyond supplying a percentage of their paychecks to the mother of their children"
If it takes two to create a child, then why do an overwhelming majority of women win custody battles? If the money is for the child, then why does the money go directly into the hands of the mother?
The real answer to OPs question is this:
I agree with you that it takes two people to make a child and that responsibility should be 50/50, however that is NOT reality, not even fucking close. Women have AN OVERWHELMING advantage when it comes to not only preventing pregnancy, but the options that they have after pregnancy, the options they have in divorce and family court. And why? "her body, her choice", the feminist agenda that has brainwashed society.
"Her body, her choice", yeah her fucking choice alright, she chose to have sex as well.
I would LOVE for you to read that 68 page article with its 350 sources to back up it's claims, but I doubt you'd be open minded enough. If you want to take the lazy way out, you could spend just two hours watching this, but maybe even that is asking too much.
>Because you are responsible for paying for the life you created you gross fucking moron
I'd love for you to say that to the faces of the tens of millions of fathers who've lost their custody battle, being denied the opportunity to care for their children

I'm crushed that it doesnt look like we are getting a display version of Phase 3, like we did Phase 1 and 2. Thanks for the contest.
Imagine a movie where the script makes no sense, whatsoever. Imagine a film where you're certain that they picked the actors off the street at random to play the roles. Imagine that some of the lines are so bad, so nonsensical, so bizarre that you wonder what the director was thinking when writing this. Imagine that there are scenes that literally serve no purpose to the movie. Imagine awkward twists, plot devices that are brought up and then instantly dropped seconds after they're presented, and an actor change mid-film, with no hint at it whatsoever, leaving you to wonder who the random guy in the film is. Imagine realizing that you could hire some of the best minds in Hollywood to purposely create a god-awful movie, and their best attempts couldn't match it. Imagine, as vividly as you can, being infuriated at the notion that you spent nearly 100 minutes of your life watching what you earnestly believe was the worst piece of garbage to ever be captured on film.
Then, imagine your realization that not only does its horribleness compel you to watch it again, but you are now among the surprisingly large group of individuals who are fans of what many consider to be the greatest worst movie of all time.

>their pricetags can have drastic differences anyway.
Thats the thing. The prices can be wildly different. I don't have any actual examples of the top of my head, but lets say sometimes you might see two series with similar prices for the regular edition, and similar bonuses for the special edition, but one special edition will eb $20 more than the other. I'd say things like stickers and similar things are not worth it, but bonuses like behind the scenes, OST, and similar can be pretty cool, as can some other merchandise. Do you ahve any specific ones you were looking at and wanted to know if they were worth it? Do you have any specific examples?
For CowBoy Bebop, the difference between the regular and the Amazon exclusive is the Amazon exclusive has both the Bluray and DVD and also: Limited Edition clamshell art box, 140 page black and white art book and 48 page full-color art book. It doesn't seem like a bad deal.
https://www.amazon.com/Cowboy-Bebop-Complete-Exclusive-Blu-ray/dp/B00MMOZ1SS/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1522366031&sr=8-6&keywords=cowboy+bebop

it is also worth noting that both of these editions had a limited release. I think the funimation one was less than 50,000. the amazon was 100,000 ish
Amazon disagrees.

From my personal experience, it was because I came from feminism and believed that feminism would also want to tackle male issues. Turns out not to be the case but its hard to identify with wanting equality for women AND men and trying to find allies in the feminist movement. Turns out feminism doesn't like that either and sees it as a distraction of real issues.
The other part about activism is that mens rights is still relatively new and has met with heavy resistance so it has had a hard time gaining traction.
If you would like to learn more, I would suggest the only documentary on male issues and its challenges.

Wow what a coincidence I just downloaded the book on kindle! I heard it mentioned here a few days ago and realized I'd never read it or seen the movie. I am loving it so far, hopefully I finish it tonight. I'd love the movie so my daughter and I can watch it together. I'm trying to get her to branch out from cartoons only and I think she'll dig it.

Oh boy, scene from my favorite movie... Too many movies to count. Movies and music are my thing, I'm going to university for them. Anyway, I'd have to say that as of right now the most memorable scene from a movie that I've watched has to be in a French film called "The Science of Sleep."
In the particular scene I am thinking of, the main character is shaving and cuts himself. He then throws his electric razor and it comes alive, and "crawls" a little bit. He then appears at work with oversized hands working on illustrations as papers begin to fly around the office as if there is a wind. He then fights his coworkers, runs into his bosses office to confront him where he catches him having an affair with an employee. The boss stands up and yells at the main character, the main character reaches into his pocket and pulls out the razor from before, it has turned into a spider which he immediately drops and it runs over to the boss causing him to fall out of his seat. He then falls out of the office window. The main character runs over to the window only to see everything outside is in a quaint artsy craftsy style, with toy cars and pop up book style buildings. He then takes over the office and has an affair with the employee. He jumps out the window and begins to swim through the air as if he is under water. He then wakes up. All of it was just a dream.
That's just a rough memory of the scene, but I think I got most of it. This movie is brilliant, and that scene has stuck with me more so than any other scene from any other film I've ever watched. I don't know quite why, I guess its the sort of surreal feel of the scene, and well the movie as a whole. I've always enjoyed the things that are bizarre, and fresh. This movie is just a really unique idea. I just found it thoroughly enjoyable. I'd suggest giving it a look if you get a chance.
This is what I would enjoy very much if I were to win. I know it is an awfully done movie, but I can't help but laugh everytime I watch it. It's so funny, especially when watching with friends.

Uhm, I LOVE that sweater!
For me, either these glasses, this movie, or this 100 trillion dollar bill. lol.
Sono Heya is a kind of obscure anime that came out in 2003 by an independent studio. It is a romantic tragedy anime about a banker, named Jounni, who has a perfect life with his fiancee in San Francisco. I think it might be the first anime to take place there. He has many friends, earns a lot of money, and has a fiancee, Risa, that loves him, or so he thinks. One day, while Jounni is at work, some NTR stuff goes on with Jounni's best friend Maruku. As the movie goes on, Jounni's life gets worse and worse. Several dark themes are brought up, like cancer, gang violence, drugs, and even suicide that really broke new ground. You can tell how carefully the director and the VAs were when making this. You can tell how enthusiastic and how much effort was put into this. The actors, they show emotion. The best scene, in my opinion, is when Jounni has to deal with false accusations of abuse, and finds his sanity deteriorating. It also has multiple uncensored sex scenes that are about en par with the sex scenes in Devilman: Crybaby. I wasn't really sure what the demographic was, since it's just such a masterpiece, until I read a book about how this was made called Saigai Geijutsuka. It follows the two main Voice Actors, the ones for Jounni and Maruku, who are best friends in real life and have been living together since the late 90's. I also found out from this book that Jounni's VA not only acted, but directed, wrote, and produced the film as well. His name is Tommi Wishiou. Despite the anime being critically acclaimed, it never did very well financially, and Tommi wasn't really hired for anything. So, I encourage you to buy the DVD from this site, since it's not on Crunchyroll.
If anyone else has seen this anime, let me know because I'd really like some suggestions for similar anime.
This bill is designed to stop only the people who are not pirating in the first place. If you really wanted to you could circumvent blocked websites. This bill also makes a big assumption that I will buy more if I can't pirate it. This maybe just me but I am not going to buy the whole Friends Box Set for $100, I might buy it for nothing on the internet.

I think individual seasons go for around $10 on Amazon, though I've got the Martinis & Medicine collection which is an amazing buy if you turn out to really like the show.
I have most of them on VHS somewhere. Local station used to play them after the 6pm news before primetime, and I'd set the VCR to record them.
Or, there's this. http://www.amazon.com/Martinis-Medicine-Complete-Collection/dp/B000HT3P5Q/ref=sr_1_1?s=movies-tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1420409938&sr=1-1&keywords=mash
Here is the link for it on Amazon (it's even on sale now). Only complaint I have about it is the dvd packaging.
If you're a big MASH fan, it seriously won't get better then this I think. This was actually for my Mom for Christmas but as we share a collection it's partially mine too. She watched MASH back when it was first coming on the air and she seriously cried when she unwrapped this and saw it. If you like MASH as much as she does, get it, you will NOT regret it. She's been bugging me to setup a spare DVD player in her room (tomorrow mom, tomorrow mom) since she's opened it.
This is the exact one i ordered I paid 137.99, not 128 (sorry for price discrepency) but it's up there for 141.35 now.
Just bought the whole series for $70 from Amazon.

Is it okay to enter more than one and let you pick? I like so many movies its hard to choose!
I love movies because...
So, the reason i want these is because me and my sisters used to watch them all the time and it was one of the only times we got along and had a lot of fun. It brings such good memories and we always have fun when we watch them!
Phantom opera
Robin hood men in tights
The Princess Bride
Monty python and the holy grail
(note: Regular DVD of any of those are fine, i just saw the blueray first)
Me and my mom LOVE godzilla so this would be perfect!
And these are som of my favorite movies of all time!
Moulin Rouge
Lord of the rings box set (Im looking at the used version)
And this because i havent seen it and people say its great!
Again, feel free to choose which come in bluray and which you want to get DVD, im not picky!
Thanks again and sorry if me posting a lot of them causes a problem :D
I would say that depends on what you have access to, and how much you're going to jump into it. I will say from the beginning that there is no consensus on any of this, so don't take any reply as the gospel.
The most obvious answer is to start at the beginning - Gojira, the 1954 Japanese original. Many folks say it's the best ever made.
Another option would be to start at the other end, the best "modern" movies before the new one. I would recommend either Godzilla against Mechagodzilla from 2002, or its sequel, Godzilla: Tokyo SOS from 2003.
If you're ready to really "commit" to watching several movies, for the very low price of $21 you can get this boxed set from Amazon that has seven movies, including the first one (Japanese and American versions) and you'll get the classic monsters that will be popping up in the G14 sequels: Ghidorah, Mothra, and Rodan.
My personal favorite Godzilla movie is Return of Godzilla from 1984 (sometimes called Godzilla 1985 because it was released in the US in 1985). The problem is that it's very hard to find, and you shouldn't wait to jump into the movies until you can find this one.
Just order the collection. Its still in stock on amazon
https://www.amazon.com/Godzilla-Collection-Vol-Yuriko-Hoshi/dp/B000VXWK86/ref=sr_1_1?s=movies-tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1497837540&sr=1-1&keywords=godzilla+dvd

Damn good price, too.
First of all, don't pirate anything. There are only a couple that you could really justify pirating, but there's no reason to start with those. If you're truly interested and want to support Godzilla, pay for the movies.
A good starting point is the DVD The Godzilla Collection. It contains the following movies:
In addition to the Japanese versions, all the U.S. edited cuts are included as well. However, I believe the original Godzilla is cropped to be widescreen, so if you want the original aspect ration, I suggest the Criterion release available on Blu-ray or DVD.
A good place to start for some of the more recent movies is The Toho Godzilla Collection, Volumes 1 & 2. This set contains the following:
Full disclosure, I think this collection is only on DVD, but all of these movies are also available on Blu-ray in various singe- and multi-disc packs. But if you don't care about Blu-ray, this is a great set.
This doesn't cover every Godzilla movie, but those two box sets are both pretty good ways to start, I think. If you have questions about specific movies or anything else let me know.
I'd recommend this
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000VXWK86/ref=mp_s_a_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1499100147&sr=1-10&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65
or this
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00NPYKTP4/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1499100181&sr=8-5&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=gamera&dpPl=1&dpID=51r648gOXfL&ref=plSrch
That eclipse set is really interesting as a historical document of how the most prestigious film company in Japan dealt with the rise of Honda and Tsubaraya's hit machine, but they're not as entertaining as Godzilla or Gamera. Plus that Godzilla set has commentaries from criterion level film historians like David Kalat (Mabuse commentaries) and Stuart Galbraith (essay on Seven Samurai) on why these types of movies matter.
I think this and this are a great way to get your collection started. If you are looking to do Blu-Ray these double feature bundles are good too. Then just hunt down the rest. This one has a lot of the earlier ones. I've purchased individually because the sets weren't always around, I'm thinking of upgrading to blu-ray but i still love running across the ones I'm missing in places like thrift shops. Anyways. Good luck.

It's not possible to be happier than this!!
If I win, I'd like to get Firefly
You should buy the Firefly boxset if you haven't got it already or if you wanted something not on your wishlists, I'd say to get a Quentin Tarantino boxset since you like the Kill Bill films.
And my own wish link for if I win.
I was going to actually look through your entire wishlist under the criteria of something you would enjoy countless times, then I saw this and it was game over.
Seriously, get Firefly. Best show ever. It's amazing.
Cool. It's $18.99 ATM. Here's the link.
[Ny Neighbor Totoro](http://or www.amazon.com/My-Neighbor-Totoro-Mark-Henley/dp/B002ZTQV8Y/ref=sr_1_1?s=movies-tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1395039954&sr=1-1&keywords=my+neighbor+totoro) is the first movie I remember watching as a kid, and it might even be my earliest memory. I saw it a second time when I was about 10, but I never got the chance to never since!
I love movies because... they describe my childhood!
I love movies because... They allow me to take a break, to see a story through from the beginning to the end, to imagine I'm in different place. I especially love movies where I can make my own ending, like in Inception. Or movies where things are up for debate, like Shutter Island.
My favorite movie so far this year.... hmm that's a hard one, but I'm gonna go with My Neighbor Totoro I just watched it for the first time with my kids this year and I loooooove it :)

Thanks for the contest!
If it's anything like the version I bought (and, since this is something like a re-release of that, I would suspect it is), there was a Japanese track and two English subtitle options (one was the hearing impared option.) I popped it in my laptop last night to double-check. About the only unusual deal there was that they had audio and subtitle options in different menus, but this is only unusual from the anime DVD perspective.
Actually, looking into things just a little further, Amazon is reusing comments/score from all three releases. This means that criticisms of the first non-Disney release of Totoro are showing up here. Evidence is in the review date of one of the individuals (jwk4) claiming no subtitles, etc ; January 31, 2003. This clearly indicates it's for the 2002 non-Disney release, where-as we are talking about the 2006 and upcoming 2010 releases.
Wow, I really like a lot on your list, ha ha! I like the ring!
I would like to enter to win My Neighbor Totoro, please.
Thank you for the contest and I love Kevin!
Do you mean this one?
They might have changed how the digital copy would be delivered, and it cancelled your specific version.
Somehow I'd never seen the castle version until I looked for it now. But then I purposely waited until all the films were out before buying a set.
The trunk is a worldwide release, that article links to Amazon UK. You can find the US one here for $350!
Pricey, but legit
Alright so i have lot's of stuff. I obviously have all the books, not just the seven original. have the Harry Potter Wizard's Collection and lots of games. I also have 3 wands, Harry Potter's, Voldemort's and the Elder Wand. Along with that i have a collection of candy, horcruxes, Umbridges plates of cats, clothes, Ravenclaw merch, and much much more.
Yep. It doesn't have all the extra features that the huge boxset has, but it does have all the versions and a bunch of other special features. And it's cheap as hell, it's 13 dollars on amazon.
This set has a small one

I just ordered this set. Haven't watched it yet personally , but it comes highly recommended.
This 3 disc set has all the cuts and even comes in a digibook.
For anyone who wants a calibrated SDR without paying for a professional calibration, I highly recommend Spears & Munsil.
Proper contrast, proper brightness, proper color with included blue filter, and it also has a nice AV sync calibration tool for audio delays.
Spears and Munsil is a very comprehensive calibration disc.

Soon... I've watched a lot of anime and this show is what captured me. I love the style, story and soundtrack.
Horseshit. They sell a complete set but only for region 2 players. Region 1 is more than twice the cost.
Hmm :/ Well, it looks like getting the show on DVD is much cheaper than buying episodes ($20 disk vs $60 digital). I'm not sure what other legal options there are.
The dvd sets are on amazon. ATLA regular DVD used starts from $15.
Korra regular dvd used starts at $23.
That's less than forty dollars for two fantastic shows.
If a subscription service doesn't have it, and you don't want to sail the seas. Amazon has the DVD collection for 18$ right now. Obviously not as nice as Blu-ray, but it's also 4x cheaper.

Yes. They left Top Gear after Clarkson's contract wasn't renewed. They make a little car show for Amazon now.
Caught-up on several episodes of The Grand Tour on Amazon.
I know we can be super critical here, but just look at this:
IMDB - 9.6 - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt5712554/. 9.6! Not a single of their 25 highest rated movies get a 9.6.
Also, Amazon reviews: 90% 5 stars, 6% 4 stars. https://www.amazon.com/The-Grand-Tour-Season-1/dp/B01J94A5GQ.
Granted this will go down eventually but talk about an insanely good start.
Please consider paying to see this movie to support Cassie Jaye.
I think Vimeo has it available in most countries
It's on Amazon as well
Also check itunes and Google play for your country.
I'm so sorry to hear your child has been taken away from you. As a woman, it was very enlightening to watch The Red Pill Movie to see what men go through in divorce, how they rarely get the children. Every feminist should watch it, it's the story that is not told about men's issues.
I wish the best for you and your child in life. The only way to go from here is up, right?

I'm fairly certain that most of these have options in the main menu to change between the dub and sub. It lists both the English and Japanese VA for the cast as well so it's probably safe to assume that it has both.
If you want to be really sure there's an amazon listing for the same price that has all the audio options listed.
Bad news then... the Blu-Ray/DVD wont launch until Nov 7th of this year. Otherwise you could import. No legal streaming options though.

I have to wait till Spider-Man comes out so I can get part 2 of this
The closest I'm aware of are the new Phase 1, Phase 2, and Phase 3 boxes they released a couple of months ago.

EDIT: Just to clarify, these boxsets will only get you up to Spider-Man Homecoming. Infinity War, Captain Marvel, Ant Man and the Wasp, and Avengers 4 will receive their own matching box set once Avengers 4 is released on disc.
I'm in the UK and the box sets will cost me £188 ($230) for the blurays on Amazon.co.uk. Price goes up to £275 if I want the 4k versions of the Phase 3 box sets (phase 1 & 2 arent available in 4k)
Phase 1 box set: $45
Phase 2 box set: $59
Phase 3 box set part 1: $49
That's only $155 plus maybe another $70 for Phase 3 part 2 which is released next month (doesnt look like Amazon.com shows it but I can preorder it on the UK site)
If you login to Amazon, Phase 1&2 + Phase 3 (Part 1 - up to Ragnarok) are listed as blu ray release on May 3rd 2019. Maybe they are bringing the older ones back into production.

With the way the partial fairing is shaped on a Bandit, you may be getting some aerodynamic lift on the front end at those speeds. Add in a little turbulence from the car you're (very ill-advisedly) passing, and you get some chaotic input to your very light front suspension. This can result in a tank-slapper. It can also come from uneven pavement giving the front wheel a bump.
I could never explain the physics as well as David Hough does. Pick up a copy of Proficient Motorcycling and read up on the workings of motorcycle suspension. Another good source is the DVD "A Twist of the Wrist II." And please, please ride more conservatively, especially with so little experience under your belt. I feel like you may be assuming that we motorcyclists are a more daring bunch than we are.
Keith Code's training movie based on this book is available as a 7 part series.
Highly recommended whether you're the kind who takes your bike to the track or to the canyons. I would recommend that you purchase the DVD, it is a worth while investment.
Just go to Amazon right now and order this and this right now. Do it. Will save your life and make riding fun.
Horseback riding is more dangerous than motorcycling. Keep your head on a swivel, always have a plan B (and even plan C) as far as "escape routes" are concerned, and expect that you are invisible to others. You do need to be confident, else you will second guess yourself, and that's not good for anybody. Be smooth with the throttle, clutch, and brake. Learn how handle loss of traction issues and don't ride faster than your skills. You might also consider watching A Twist of the Wrist.
Twist of the Wrist II Precision Cornering Techniques for Today's High Performance Rider
princess bride is definitely amusing AND my boyfriend has never seen it!
Today I broke my dresser by attempting to use it as a step stool to get to the top shelves in my closet. Why was I using my dresser as a step stool? Because I couldn't afford a step stool :| Which means now I get to buy a new dresser, and until then the drawers are just stacked up in the back of my closet.
So, as much as I hate my most useful gift being a gift card, a gift card would really really help put a dent into the $60+ I'll need to spend on a dresser soon.
A real, actual item that I think is very interesting (and entertaining!) is The Princess Bride <3 And for a useful item, this silicone brownie mold solves the problem of who gets the edges and whose piece is bigger :-D
If I win the plupfiction contest, I would love The Princess Bride! (From my movies wishlist)
I have no preference which of those things I want more, so either one would be great :)
I would like this movie! It's a classic and a family favorite yet I dont own it.

So Sam goes to his doctor one morning, and after a routine checkup, he sits down to have a serious checkup.
"You know," said Sam, "I've been really thinking, and I think I want to be castrated."
"What!?" exclaimed his doctor. "Are you sure? I mean this is a very serious issue and-"
"I know," Steve said, cutting his doctor off. "I thought about it a very long time, and I know I need to do it. You can't, CANT talk me out of it."
The doctor doesn't fight any more, after all, it's Sam's life. So an appointment is scheduled for soon after, and Sam is casturated. The surgery is a success, but Sam recovers in the hospital. He begins to walk again, although now he walks a bit funny. Down the hall in the hospital, he sees another man, walking the exact same way.
"So," said Sam to the another man "looks like you had the same operation as me. What made you do it?"
"Well," replied the man, "After twenty years, I decided I couldn't go without it anymore, and I just needed to be circumcised.
Sam stared blankly at the other man, and then suddenly screamed in horror "Shit! That's the word!!"
I have a few cheaper things on the list, but here's a good choice
For my money it doesn't get better than <a href="https://www.amazon.com/Room-Tommy-Wiseau/dp/B000CFYAMC"&gt;The Room</a>
You can order it direct from Amazon US. €17.12 including shipping. https://www.amazon.com/Room-Tommy-Wiseau/dp/B000CFYAMC
Tommy is pretty insistent that people watch it in groups. He doesn't sell it digitally. You'd have to buy a DVD on Amazon. It's worth every penny.
https://www.amazon.com/Room-Tommy-Wiseau/dp/B000CFYAMC
I'm saving up to buy this... for my fiancee cuz she loves this show.
I've actually never seen Saving Private Ryan...is it worth it?
Here ya go
First thing on my Christmas list.
I'll have to resort to other means in order to watch it. Ehem....
Also, have you seen this? ( or this, alternately) Do want.
I'd say a few movies maybe, or maybe a nice figure or too. https://www.amazon.com/Godzilla-Collection-Vol-Yuriko-Hoshi/dp/B000VXWK86 This is a nice collection, although it's missing the third movie, King Kong vs Godzilla. http://stores.sumogorilla.com/all-dvds/king-kong-vs-godzilla-dvd-widescreen-japanese-version-uncut/ (This store has quite a few uncut Godzilla films by the way).
No I only remember it was pennies different than Walmart.
Here's one that was on sale
The Godzilla Collection (Vol 1 and 2) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000VXWK86/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_QyqBzb1JV9A3D
Amazon all the way. With the exception of 2014. I got that on Black Friday at Best Buy for $4. Just be on a look out for the [Kraken blu-rays] (https://www.amazon.com/Godzilla-Vs-Gigan-Blu-ray/dp/B00I462XLG/ref=pd_sim_74_7?_encoding=UTF8&amp;psc=1&amp;refRID=Q4NXP3Z44W4ZJK6AP4P4) and [The Toho Godzilla Movies Collection blu-rays] (https://www.amazon.com/Godzilla-Vs-King-Ghidorah-Mothra/dp/B00IQAUO2A/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1481679727&amp;sr=8-1&amp;keywords=godzilla+vs+king+ghidorah+blu+ray). The prices seem to jump to higher and lower over time. It's very inconsistent, so I just checked every other day to get the best deals. Lowest they normally around for is little over $7.
For [The Godzilla Collection] (https://www.amazon.com/Godzilla-Collection-Vol-Yuriko-Hoshi/dp/B000VXWK86/ref=sr_1_1?s=movies-tv&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1481679933&amp;sr=1-1&amp;keywords=the+godzilla+collection) I got it used at half price, BUT IT'S ON SALE RIGHT NOW FOR PRIME USERS, SO PICK IT UP.
Godzilla 1998 and 2014 are always cheap. Even without the Black Friday deal, it's still cheap on Amazon.
Godzilla vs. Biollante is tricky. There are multiple sources on Amazon. Make sure you get it from [this one] (https://www.amazon.com/Godzilla-Biollante-Blu-ray-Koji-Takahashi/dp/B00LVZK1LG/ref=sr_1_1?s=movies-tv&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1481680064&amp;sr=1-1&amp;keywords=godzilla+vs+biollante+blu+ray). Cheap as hell.
Then there's Son of Godzilla and Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla. These two are extremely hard to come by, but the way I see it, here are your options:
Last but not least is King Kong vs. Godzilla. Now you can get the official blu-ray on Amazon for a cheap price, but mind you, this doesn't have the Japanese dub, only the English dub. It is for this reason that I purchased it from sumogorilla, seeing as I only intend to watch them in Japanese.
Well, there you have it. Hopefully this will help you on your journey in collecting every Godzilla movie out there. But I'm sure there are other methods of doing so as well, so keep an eye out for any tips and information! As time passes, the prices and sources will as well. But this is how I collected the films.
Good luck!
EDIT: Typing error.
I recently purchased this set -

Wooosh.
Do you have Netflix?
No? Well here's an Amazon link.
Now go and change your life forever. The internet commands it.
To clarify the question:
There are DVD releases that I have seen come out such as the Ultimate Matrix Collection and Lord of the Rings Extended Editions, that packed so many special features into the DVD set it made it fun to own DVDs again.
There are restorations that have come out such as the Wizard of Oz special edition that made the picture and sound so vibrant and clear that you could see the actual burlap pattern in the scarecrow's face. They digitally painted out any scratches or lines, literally one cel at a time.
There are DVD re-releases such as the entire Studio Ghibli collection (Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, Ponyo, etc.) with amazing distribution and backing from Disney/Pixar and more specifically, John Lasseter that made the movies so accessible and "mainstream" with new English dubs from well known American actors that it literally introduced anime to a whole new generation of viewers.
I don't know anything about Criterion, but I would imagine they fit into this picture somewhere.
Here, here, here, and here may be a good start.
you might want to add this movie to your wishlist because it is adorable and awesome.
The netflick
"Special Features: Anime, Includes English & Japanese Language Tracks."
This is in the ebay listing in the "Item Specifics" box.
But personally I would be wary of a bootleg. It's cheap, so it might be worth the risk, but I'd be concerned that it just wouldn't work with my dvd player or the subtitles wouldn't work/you couldn't switch the languages.
Amazon is selling My Neighbor Totoro with English, French, and Japanese language and subtitles in French and English options. It's only $20.
Edit: This one looks more legitimate and says it's from 2004. IMDB says the Dakota Fanning one came out in 2005. It's possible this was pre-Dakota, although it also says on the case that it is a Disney film. This one's listing says it was released in 2002, definitely pre-Dakota. Bids are high though.
It exists

I have the same set and I agree, bit disappointing. The dvds dont even look the same, it looks like some con artist just took the dvds out of their original packaging and placed them in a new holder, no second discs. However, I'm glad to have the collection all the same.
There is a complete box set + goodies TBR and you can preoder here on amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Wizards-Collection-Blu-ray-UltraViolet-Digital/dp/B007FSEAHY/ref=sr_tr_sr_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1331575081&amp;sr=8-1
Of course, it's just a mere $450 dollars.
Really? All I know of is the french set with the wand on top. That is only around $200, and I cant find any pictures/videos of it anywhere online. I want to see what is inside. If thats not the one you are talking about, can you show me?
OMG. While typing this response, I finally found the video for it!!!!

This has to be a joke...
Amazon is selling this and there are youtube clips such as this one that promote the boxed set too.
Before you get too excited though, read the reviews on Amazon. This boxed set might not be all it's cracked up to be.
Amazon had a deal on this on cyber Monday for $99, so I pounced. I had been waiting awhile to get a box set because I wanted a Blu-Ray one, but I didn't want that $700 one with all that other crap, and I didn't want the $39 one without any special features.
I almost missed this one because when I read the comments and reviews, they all said "No special editions" so I dismissed it. Then I found they had lumped the reviews for the $39 one in with this sale item, and then took the plunge.
You can still purchase this particular box for $150 on Amazon, but if you're curious what it looks like or includes, check the album. Enjoy!
Hm, I wonder how much this costs...$350!?!?!
The Creating the World of Harry Potter documentary was orginally exclusive to the Ultimate Editions, but it soon spread to other editions released after it (including the Wizard's Collection, Hogwart's Collection and most recently 8-Film Steelbook Collection.
Additionally the recently released Special Editions, which is what you've found, include the documentary as well. So the edition you stumbled upon while legit, won't contain any of the other physical extras that the Ultimate Editions have.
This one that is currently sitting at $1000 haha
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007FSEAHY/ref=s9_simh_gw_p74_d0_i1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&amp;pf_rd_s=center-2&amp;pf_rd_r=11HQXFA3N1B44TQ6M1PF&amp;pf_rd_t=101&amp;pf_rd_p=470938631&amp;pf_rd_i=507846
but is it worth it?
I wonder if we'll be able to see the scene when the new box set comes out...
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B007FSEAHY/ref=aw_d_iv_movies-tv?is=l&amp;qid=1342375809&amp;sr=8-6
You can get it from Amazon super-cheap. It's $14 right now for the full set with all five versions of the film.
Yeah I looked at the link nerga provided and that would be cool to get, but I came across this one too:
BR 30th Anniversary Blu Ray Collection
Looks like it's on some kind of markdown/sale for $14.00 and is a 3 blurays edition that has all 5 versions plus the artbook.
I did a quick check of the contents looking at the back covers of both and this one seems to be the same thing packaged differently but the same content wise and a little cheaper.
I think I'm going to go ahead and get this one and "retire" my old final cut version bluray.
Well I found it on Amazon, great movie:

Edit: Also another off Amazon that's currently in stock:
https://www.amazon.com/Runner-Five-Disc-Complete-Collectors-Blu-ray/dp/B000UBMWG4
For black hawk down, no, sorry.
For blade runner I have a two disc blu ray version, there is the 5 disc ultimate one but I didn't get it.
edit: this will be available in two months, those blu ray digibook editions look great http://www.amazon.com/Runner-Anniversary-Collectors-Edition-Blu-ray/dp/B008M4MB8K/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1344969339&amp;sr=8-3&amp;keywords=blade+runner+blu+ray
edit: what kind of movies do you like?
If you like sci-fi then I can't recommend Moon highly enough. It's a great slow burn little movie. If you're looking for older stuff then Blade Runner is a must. One of my personal favorites is City of God, which if you can handle the subtitles is amazing.

Here it is for cheaper.
It is a good deal. That said, [Amazon] (http://amzn.com/B008M4MB8K) has had a similar price for at least the last 6 months.
Rtings.com and Consumer Reports post their calibration settings for the TVs they review.
They tell you it varies based on production runs and your TV will be different, but it can give you a sense of what their calibration found.
Then there are kits on DVD or Blu-Ray that have color gels included that you can use to calibrate. I had one on DVD a while back and thought it did a good job for color, but not so much for backlight.
Spears & Munsil HD Benchmark and Calibration Disc 2nd Edition https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CKWI13O/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_JAjrDbRGJBDT5
But you get what you pay for. A trained calibrator with the right equipment will be best and cost the most.
If you want to spend a little bit for some really good patterns, here is a link to the disc that I use -- http://www.amazon.com/Spears-Munsil-Benchmark-Calibration-Disc/dp/B00CKWI13O?ie=UTF8&amp;keywords=calibration%20disc&amp;qid=1464066144&amp;ref_=sr_1_1&amp;sr=8-1
Using this disc and eyeballing it is the best that you can do without the pro tools. This is actually the disc that every website uses when they do a full/pro calibration. The only difference is that you won't be able to do some portions (like white balance) without the pro tools, but it's still very good for eyeballing.
Honestly man I would look at something like this:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/samsung-60-class-59-9-10-diag--plasma-1080p-600hz-hdtv/8182045.p?id=1218864995544&amp;skuId=8182045&amp;st=samsung%20plasma&amp;cp=1&amp;lp=3
Its not as thin as the F8500, but still produces a great picture. There are a few reasons why it's so cheap:
Whatever you decide, it is imperative that you set it up properly for the room. You have 3 options here:
http://www.imagingscience.com/ If you are in Florida, I would be more than happy to help out!
http://www.amazon.com/Spears-Munsil-Benchmark-Calibration-Edition/dp/B00CKWI13O/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1407264476&amp;sr=8-1&amp;keywords=spears+and+munsil
3)Learn how to calibrate and do it yourself. This will cost you a significant amount of time and money
The room does have a decent amount of ambient light AND the walls are light. Plasma is glass so glare could be an issue during the day, but it will look awesome in the dark. A bias light would help too! You can make your own for pretty cheap, or they are available for purchase.
Don't hesitate to hit me back up if you have further questions!
somewhere in settings. not all players/tvs have it, generally the better ones do.
&#x200B;
On my surround sound, it's in settings, but you can google it. Or, I highly recommend getting a calibration disc, goes a long way. A lot of THX movies like Indiana jones has basic one on the dvd, but this has been worth it's weight in gold for me.
&#x200B;
https://www.amazon.com/Spears-Munsil-Benchmark-Calibration-Disc/dp/B00CKWI13O
It’s not 4K rated, but this disc may help. I’ve used it on four HDTVs in the house and it is an excellent starting point.
But again, I’m only running 1080p right now.
Mine are all default.
I have a 46" Sony xbr4 from 2008 and use the Spears & Munsil HD Calibration Disc as well as the console's calibration. Each came to the same settings.
Thee are a number of test patterns and tutorials online or you can buy something like;
Digital Video Essentials: HD Basics [Blu-ray] https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ADJG56Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_mcFZBbQGXFZ8A
Spears & Munsil HD Benchmark and Calibration Disc 2nd Edition https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CKWI13O/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_CcFZBbRE3PDKS
I think he’s completely right talking about people not tuning their TVs. If you are buying a $500-$2500+ TV and leaving it on the settings out of the box, you’re letting yourself down.
TV calibration disk -I have an older version of this disc and it makes a world of difference on a TV.
I think more than the TV tuning though is the quality of the streaming. No matter what device it seems like the stream was junk. It seems like a combination of HBO’s stream and probably cable providers bandwidth. Low bandwidth streams effect dark colors the worst and it makes the sound weak.
I don't think this has anything to do with the PS4 specifically, but it is definitely a good idea to customize your TV's settings. Usually 'Movie' mode or some equivalent will be significantly better right away, and then you can play around with it as you see fit. Like some suggested, AVS forums has some good information if you search for your TV, and reviewers like CNET, digital trends, etc generally post their recommended settings in the review. The best option of course is to get your TV professionally calibrated by an ISF calibrator, but that can cost around 300. If you're really interested in getting the best picture out of your TV but don't want to pay for calibration, I suggest getting a Disney WoW or Spears and Munsil calibration disc. They walk you through the calibration process step by step and give you test patterns and footage so you can adjust your settings till it looks right to you. The Disney one is especially useful for beginners, I've linked both below.
Disney WoW: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0045ASBLG/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1419794316&amp;sr=8-1&amp;pi=AC_SY200_QL40
Spears and Munsil: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00CKWI13O/ref=pd_aw_sims_1?pi=SS115&amp;simLd=1
The color saturation is adjustable on most any television. If you for some reason prefer the cooler, bluer image on the left you can achieve that with any TV.
The main aspect of 720p and above is resolution. That is what the 720 number means...how many lines of resolution there are. 720 > 480 hence more detail is possible in a given scene.
In addition the letter "p" and "i" mean something too. The "p" = Progressive Scan. Basically your tv will draw every line on the tv on each pass. The "i" = Interlaced. Basically your TV will draw every-other line on the TV on each pass. So lines 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 and so on then start at the top again and do lines 2,4,6,8,10 and so on. This makes moving images more fuzzy on the screen since the image on the second pass would be slightly out of line with the first image (sort of a jagged edge).
HDMI is also becoming the exclusive standard in TVs for a variety of reasons but mainly due to its copy protection features that make it difficult to impossible to copy source material (e.g. so you cannot make a perfect copy of a Blu-Ray disk). The new game consoles coming out have no analog output. You can thank Hollywood for that imposition.
In short, HD is superior in every way to standard definition. If you like the cooler colors you can make most any set replicate that. I think you are crazy but you can. The best thing to do with a new TV is to properly calibrate it with something like Spears & Munsil HD Benchmark and Calibration (there are also some calibration tools on some HD movies). Once done I think you would quickly adjust to the superior picture and that color scheme and never go back.
It was included in the series box set.
-No Half Measures: Creating the Final Season of Breaking Bad - An all-new, exclusive two hour documentary that chronicles the filming of the final eight episodes.
It was also included in the regular edition of the series box set. I just like the barrel edition more.
You mean this:
http://www.amazon.com/Breaking-Bad-Complete-UltraViolet-Digital/dp/B00EEDNA4M/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1382237554&amp;sr=8-3&amp;keywords=breaking+bad
There is, Amazon already has it for pre-order. $175.59 with Amazon prime.
http://www.amazon.com/Breaking-Bad-Complete-Series-Blu-ray/dp/B00EEDNA4M/
Breaking bad box(barrel) set. Because it's effin' breaking bad! soooo ridiculously overpriced and expnesive though!
Was this the one you ordered? http://www.amazon.com/Breaking-Bad-Complete-UltraViolet-Digital/dp/B00EEDNA4M/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1380794754&amp;sr=8-1&amp;keywords=breaking+bad+complete+series
I was trying to find it in DVD format and could not find it anywhere. Any idea when it might come out or where I can get it?
>I might have access to decent quality?
You've always had access to decent quality.

Or something like that
I would add this to my list but my family has already bought all their Christmas this year...
EDIT: It is a dead of the day and ends in 8 hours of this posting, so that is why it is less expensive.
Normally it is ~ $60
$86 on Amazon
I was looking in Amazon the Special edition one. It says that doesn't have subtitles. https://www.amazon.com/Cowboy-Bebop-Complete-Exclusive-Blu-ray/dp/B00MMOZ1SS/ref=sr_1_4?crid=1I8QIDT495H56&keywords=cowboy+bebop&qid=1567276864&s=movies-tv&sprefix=cowboys%2Cmovies-tv%2C131&sr=1-4
FUNimation's exclusive is less expensive than the Amazon exclusive ($89.98), but they do have different bonus items. It's worth comparing the two in case someone wants the art books that come with the Amazon edition:
> Limited Edition clamshell art box
> 140 page black and white art book featuring early concept sketches and designs that highlight Cowboy Bebop’s origins.
> 48 page vibrant, full-color art book
I realize that this is very late, but I was just looking into my copy again. I ran it through MakeMKV (http://www.makemkv.com/, which I use for ripping off the disc for use in a media center) and it warns me that the disc was authored with DvdFab/MacTheRipper. So it's definitely a bootleg. I wrote to Amazon this morning and left the seller negative feedback with the proof of it being bootleg. They wrote me back within a couple hours offering a full refund (even though I purchased it about 90 days ago).
It's worth running it through MakeMKV, or some other diagnostic software that will give you information about what software the discs were authored with. If you pass that along to Amazon, you may be able to get a refund. Then you can just wait until around Christmas when they come out with an Amazon exclusive Blu-Ray/DVD combo pack of the complete series with some limited edition art books for just under $90: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MMOZ1SS/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&amp;colid=1LMR0VM22SWIP&amp;coliid=I36WUJVZHWE88M
Good luck!
They just got more of the Amazon Exclusive in!!!!!

I got it here off amazon and mine isn’t missing any of those... really curious. I’m not missing any episodes actually...
Also, what country are you in? It’s possible a country censored out certain episodes.
I recently bought the complete dvd set on Amazon for around $25. It's not as convenient as streaming but it's nice to have.
Edit: here it is for $28

The Box sets are a bit pricey, yeah. This subreddit prohibits the sharing of piracy sites, so that's not going to be it. I wouldn't recommend using those anyway.
The entire series is on Netflix, just in Canada. If you have a VPN you can watch it through there.
If not, then the Box Set is your only good option. It's actually 25 USD on DVD and about 30 USD on Blu-Ray (the latter having the higher quality).
Amazon or iTunes for example. But if you don’t like these companies I’m sure you’ll find other vendors. If for some reason you can’t get ahold of a digital copy you could just buy the DVD or Blu-ray and rip it. I’m sure you’ll find these at various local stores as well.
As a former anime nerd I have snooped and found some age appropriate potential gifts (I don't know what she's seen though!)

Hi there. I've done some research and it appears that both the Complete Series (newest box set) as well as the original dvd releases of the books (complete book 1, 2, 3) only have Spanish audio for books 1 and 2, not 3. I don't know why that is, it's more than a little upsetting.
Here is a page that says the Complete Series doesn't have it. It's under the Audio paragraph.
Here is a link to the complete book 3 at Walmart. There is a section under Customer Reviews called Questions & Amswers where someone asks this very question and the answer says it's only on books 1 and 2, not 3.
This website shows each dvd and lists what languages they have. They say Book 3 is only in English.
Your only hope might be downloading a Spanish version of book 3 on the Internet. Though I'm not entirely sure if there is one, I assume there would be, but I am quite clueless when it comes to that sort of thing.
By Amazon Prime version did you mean this? or the digital copy? Sorry to keep asking haha
I disagree. I saw the Amazon pilot and thought it looked pretty good.

The Slow Mo Guys - I guess this means that 2016's best use-of-slow-motion-game Super Hot!!
Studio C (A comedy show) - I'm not sure how you turn this into a game... But they do have recurring skits that could work, maybe Captain Literal's Cool Game for Figuratively Attractive People. (I have no idea what kind of game that is).
The Grand Tour - I'd love a high quality racing sim, Project CARS or DiRT 4 would be great.
Add the non HDR version to your watch list then load it from the app. You will see this does not occur at the same 32 minute mark. Maybe this is a limitation of HDR as I previously mentioned. I read reviews complaining about this on Apple TV HDR.

Nice. Update of the classic. Check out your band rocking it outdoors in first episode of The Grand Tour. It's the lead ~4 minutes of an Amazon Prime video. Hope you have access.

Advice will depend to a large extent on what country you live in and which state/ province.
As far as the MRM is concerned working 60 hours a week isn't proof of failure on your part - just proof of the choices your made as a family. If you think you needed to work 60 hour weeks to meet your needs as a one-household family then you are in for a painful reality as a two-household family.

I AM AN OPOSSUM!
&#x200B;
Something unique... My go-to story is usually about how I got lost on an island for four hours during an 8th grade field trip.
&#x200B;
But more recently, I just celebrated my one-year anniversary to my boyfriend, who I met through reddit, trying to find a dnd group. I am also going through a divorce- but the unusual thing is that my weekly dnd group includes my ex and my boyfriend, there is no tension or animosity, and we're all friends :)
I think my two biggest wishlist Wishlist items still only add up to $60 but they are:
Galaxy Trucker (My boyfriend and I play and collect board games and this is my favorite one)
Your Name (I've been wanting to share this with my boyfriend since he shared The Girl Who Leapt Through Time with me and they have similar premises)

I read a bunch of different answers. I only use the brakes for slowing or stopping. When I've accomplished that, I let them go or let up. I try to be as efficient with my controls as possible, only using what I need, when I need it. That gives my brain more time to process the "big picture". I used to think of the bike as an extension of myself. Now, after experience and practice, it is :)
There is a lot that needs to be paid attention to when riding, so taxing your brain in a pseudo "ready mode" or other taxing thought processes isn't as good as fully paying attention to the present. Definitely practice any riding skills until they become natural. My goal is to have total awareness of my surroundings as much of the time as possible, but instantly focusing 100% on any potential emergencies while spending as little time in that state as possible, then going immediately back to total awareness. For example: I'm sitting at a stop light, swivel my helmet and see some one coming up fast. I then take action. Could be tap the brake, turn on my turn signal, or grab the bars and make my best effort to move to safety if needed depending on the situation. Then reset and scan.
With more practice, one can grab the clutch, twist the throttle, shift to 1st, and start releasing the clutch in well under 1 second or seemingly simultaneously. I've been riding for 21 years and it's 2nd nature, (I don't think about it) which allows for they key to being on the road in any vehicle = pay attention.

This is an absolute must for ANY rider weather you're racing, riding , or driving:

One could say the same about VHS to DVD, or any format really. Personally, I think if you're going to spend money on something you like, why not get it in the best available quality? Especially when the upgrade is just five dollars more.

Their website for live tapings even shows that they're recorded months before the episode airs on Amazon Prime. I don't know why people think otherwise.

I'm not suggesting you "recalibrate" for a single episode. I'm suggesting you actually calibrate it right, and everything will look better. (or at least, the way it's supposed to)
I'm guessing you haven't watched a whole lot of very dark content on that TV yet. It looked incredible to me. I thought the cinematography and color grading was excellent in this episode. But of course, I'm very anal about calibrating my displays.
This is what I use to calibrate my displays, but even something like this should help a lot.
