Eh, it's not that bad. I could see that being worth $13, including the functionality. If you want good looking figure, then you'll just have to get a real one.
Hey, this seems like a really sweet gesture. I'm sure your husband will love it!
I would caution against white sleeves. They tend to get dirty more easily, and they don't always do a good job of fully blocking out the back of the card.
My personal recommendation for sleeves would be Dragon Shield Matte sleeves in a dark color. Here is an amazon listing for the Black version (which are generally the cheapest): https://www.amazon.com/Dragon-Shield-Matte-Protective-Sleeves/dp/B00WX57O7M/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1500663177&sr=8-1&keywords=dragon+shield+matte

It's actually quite big too, and the plastic top is squishy :)
Some good general gifts are:
Playmats: https://www.ultrapro.com/product_list.php?cPath=74_152&filter_id=&sort=2a&filter=inprint&osCsid=rip0n37n083bugo7kkqe6vi014
Card sleeves: https://www.amazon.com/Dragon-Shield-Matte-Protective-Sleeves/dp/B00WX57O7M
Deck boxes: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=deck+box+mtg&ref=is_s
Gift cards to popular stores/marketplaces: https://shop.tcgplayer.com/giftcard
Everybody can use those regardless of what cards they use so they're pretty safe gifts that will still get used.
If you ask him what his favorite cards or artists are, you might be able to get him a playmat, an art print or even a signed card from his favorite artist. eBay is a pretty good place to find signed cards.
I wanted to get a statue of Samus for my shelves and I found this one. As a long time Metroid fan, it makes me angry and kind of sick. Samus should be like this. She's a kick ass, self-reliant, no-nonsense, take no prisoners bounty hunter with a massive chip on her shoulder and enough firepower to MURDER ENTIRE PLANETS. I hate how Samus has been sexualized recently (I couldn't get through Other M even after I downloaded a new game+ file that let me skip cutscenes). I think it might be related to the fact that Metroid has always been a popular series in the west, unlike the other Nintendo franchises, which are either equally popular in Japan and the west or outsell in Japan. The developers see "popular in the US" and "sexualized" as the same.
Before the apparent overhaul of the series with Other M, Samus was a clinical hardass. We only rarely got glimpses of her humanity in moments like the beginning of Prime 2, when she gently closes the eyes of a dead space marine. Look at the end of Metroid 2 and the opening of Super Metroid. The baby Metroid attached to her as a mother, and the only thing she did was let it lead her out of SR388 and then handed it over to the Federation scientists for dissection and research. Now, every other word out of her (supposed to be silent) mouth is BABY BABY BABY.
tl;dr - longtime Metroid fangirl raves on the internet about how people on the other side of the world changed her favorite character
Honestly, I'd get something like a subscription to Spotify or something, since I listen to music almost all day while I code.
If this is for like a Christmas gift or birthday gift or something, here are my suggestions:
All of my workflow tools are free or paid for by my company, so I'm not sure you can gift those kinds of things.
Hope that helps.
$15 via amazon. World of Nintendo 6-Inch Metroid Action Figure https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ST2AFOW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_tnz7BbW882MWJ
I bet he will find several thousand more dollars worth of cards in there. He should invest in some sleeves and card holders in order to protect his cards. I prefer to double sleeve, then put it in a magic card binder (NOT a regular 3 ring binder) or in a top loaders.
KMC Perfect Fit sleeves
https://www.amazon.com/KMC-Barrier-PERFECT-packs-Total/dp/B00T3Z72Q8
KMC Hyper Matte Playing Sleeves
https://www.amazon.com/KMC-Hyper-Matte-Sleeves-Sheets/dp/B00VCQXQAW
Rigid Top Loaders
https://www.amazon.com/Ultra-Pro-Regular-TOPLOADERS-Standard/dp/B01G1GRLSA

You take the card and (carefully) put the card upside down into the Perfect Fit sleeves. The card should fit snugly in there. Then you put the card into the Playing Sleeve with the opening of the Perfect Fit sleeve at the bottom. Then put the whole thing into a top loader.
So Card -> Perfect Fit sleeve -> Playing Sleeve -> Top Loader

Good luck!.. And no more bend testing for all that is holy, lol.

Edit to add: if they are in extremely good condition (like they look perfect straight out of the pack), it may be best to avoid the Perfect Fit because you can cause very small nicks in the corners if you're not careful putting them in which can affect their grade, but if they look like the Black Lotus you have there, then it's probably not a huge concern.
Great advice. All of this is right. I would add one more tip.
Buy 6 sheets of 16 pocket card holders — use these to organize the tech trees so everyone can see their tech pathways. It seriously reduces clutter and speeds comprehension.
You can also use them to organize planets by color to make colonization a breeze.
Also: costumes are fun. And the ambient space playlist on Spotify is pitch perfect. Mood really heightens the experience. We had a brilliant first play and have another game coming up in two weeks since everyone loved it so much. It is the most fun I’ve had with a board game.

You're welcome
Ultra Pro has gone through many packaging rebrands over the years, but they always have their standard sleeves available. This is the current version of them: https://www.ultrapro.com/product_info.php?products_id=1075&osCsid=509h24psatms7gsqmb8it2r9h6
It also looks like there are a bunch of them on Amazon for sale: https://www.amazon.com/Ultra-Pro-Protector-Sleeves-2-Packs/dp/B009EXIAOC/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=ultra+pro+black+deck+protectors&qid=1573515530&sr=8-2
Looking nice, good luck with your playtesting! Try using card sleeves like these if you're using a standard playing card size. They helped us when we had our game in an early state. Sleeves make the cards a bit more durable and easier to manage.
I"m paranoid. I keep the paperwork in the Baseball card boxes that are cheap. Stick a years worth in 2 boxes. I've only been doing about 2years+, but plan on 7 years since that's what IRS can go back.
I was thinking of trying to scan with NEAT or something, but it really doesn't take much space and if IRS ever audits me, see's these extra 200-300k deposits a year, I have paperwork to back me up.
EDIT: In case anyone cares, I use 800 Count BCW Cardboard Trading Card Boxes
https://www.amazon.com/BCW-Count-Corrugated-Cardboard-Storage/dp/B00FO802R4?th=1
I would not use Amazon, I paid 39.90 for 50 boxes couple years ago.
They're on Amazon.
sounds like those could be what we call "penny sleeves" too. And not actual playing sleeves.
https://www.amazon.com/Ultra-Pro-Soft-Sleeves-8-Inches/dp/B00CV859XC
https://www.amazon.com/Dragon-Shield-Matte-Protective-Sleeves/dp/B00WX57O7M/ref=sr_1_sc_1?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1501691248&sr=1-1-spell&keywords=dragon+sheidlds
Well, they make^[1] card binders^[2] and^[3] pages^[4] for upgrade cards and I made Sir Willibald's^[5] damage deck box^[6].
I personally don't like everything migrating to the larger card size. It's nice but half the card will just be tucked under pilot/other cards and I already complain about board space.
That's just me though.
I really like the Ultra Pro - Standard Pro-Fit Sleeves. They are thin enough and may break occasionally, but I have not had many issues with them. I have my entire Legendary Marvel Set sleeved with them.
This is the binder I use, would highly recommend.
https://www.amazon.com/12-Pocket-Z-Folio-Trading-Albums-Black/dp/B00VFXWBZS/ref=pd_nav_hcs_rp_t_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=B2XTS0EVG10BFTRNAR10
Amazon is probably your best bet. These are the best card sheets available in my opinion, but it's unnecessary for, say, individual sets or master sets; I mostly use them for my binder of rare and valuable cards. These are probably the second best option and are good for any type of card, otherwise the regular ones found at Walmart and Target are fine; the only thing is they tend to sag at the bottom if the binder is standing vertically but it doesn't damage or affect the cards at all.
For binders, I haven't played around with too many different kinds, but I am very satisfied with the Avery brand. Here's the specific kind I use.
Because the binder is small, flimsy, cards easily slide out, pages tear easily, and the cards aren't very well protected. I would only recommend it to people that are super careful with their stuff, don't transport it much, and plan on using it purely to collect in a safe environment. Visually it looks good, and it technically does the job fine, but I wouldn't trust it to protect a expensive collection.
High durability Binder for $6: http://www.amazon.com/Wilson-Jones-Durable-Customizable-W86660/dp/B00CPXDSGS
9-Pocket Pages (50~100 count) cost anywhere from $6~$20 depending on the brand, count, quality, and style you go for. I personally recommend getting Ultra Pro side-loading pages with 9 slots on each side (18 slots per page): http://www.amazon.com/Ultra-Pro-3-Hole-Side-Load-Pocket/dp/B009WU5EG4/
You guys are bee-you-tee-mous maximus today indeed!! As always, of course :)
If I'm dreaming big, then this is what I would ask for - it sounds like such an awesome game, and board games are my favourite way to spend quality time with my boyfriend. It sounds like a ton of fun, we actually went looking for it for an anniversary gift to each other, but we couldn't find it anywhere locally so we put it on the back burner.
Under $20, this guy - it's an inside joke, there are a group of us who play "minion" to my friend's "mad scientist", so it makes me smile.
C'mon...gimme three cheers for rasta and the numbah man, two of my favourite people in RAOA :)
I'm a fan of the BCW Z-Folio. Holds 480 cards each, pages are 3 rows x 4 columns. I ended up with ~6 of them to store my color-sorted EDH staples and they make a little WUBRG rainbow on my shelf.
I bought some Dragon Shield sleeves for mine, and they work just fine. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B000P0SY44
You mean a card box?
I use one of those long cardboard boxes meant for trading cards.
BCW 800-Count Storage Box for Standard 20pt Trading Cards | 200 lb. Test Strength | (10-Count) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FO802R4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_zGEMDbRCWH8R1
Yay, Disney Movie Rewards. So do I want to get a Groot Funko POP or a large Guardians of the Galaxy poster...choices, choices...
ETA: Seeing as how the Groot Funko POP is for some reason $24+$9-12 shipping on Amazon...I went with Groot.
Pretty good, but after shipping it still comes out to about $6 per pack, while you can get 5 for about $4.5 a pack and with fast shipping with Amazon if you have prime: https://www.amazon.com/KMC-Hyper-Matte-Sleeves-Sheets/dp/B00VCQXQAW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1494958836&sr=8-1&keywords=kmc+hyper+matte
Depends on the size of your collection and if you want to buy the return to... expansions.
Personally I have a small traveling case that I keep the next scenario and the player decks in. And then I keep the campaigns in either the Return to boxes or I have a regular cardboard box for the ones that haven't come out as return to expansions yet.
Edit:
My Setup
I use UltraPro American mini sized 16-slot top-loading pages and they work great; fits sleeved cards pretty much perfectly (they'll stick out of the top of the slot about 1mm, but it works fine and actually makes them easier to pull out. You can fit 2-3 sleeved cards in each pouch comfortably).
Pages 14 Pocket Stand Card Sleeves (10 Piece), Black, Mini https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CS104FE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_Ha3HzbZ6ZQ09N
Not sure if this is what you meant. But it makes it easy for opponents to see your cards and upgrades. Just pass the whole thing across the table if they ask a question

if you want to do that dragon shield makes clear sleeves check your LGS for the sleeves first before ordering!.
I really need this

Best video game I ever got on amazon
I understand your frustration, but this is really just a $13 mini-figure that works with games. If you want a top quality Samus figure, I'd get GSC's Figma :) http://www.amazon.com/Good-Smile-Metroid-Action-Figure/dp/B00712Y28Q/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1421892048&sr=8-1&keywords=samus+figma
Figmas are small but very fun and very poseable.
I'm pretty happy with my storage so far so I'm happy to share.
Here's a link to a few pictures.
http://imgur.com/a/F8Ldw
For the dice I went with 2 Craft Storage Boxes from Hobby Lobby.
http://shop.hobbylobby.com/products/craft-storage-box-666735/
The ones in that picture are a little different than the ones I got. In store they sell the flat bottom containers for $2 and a version with rounded bottoms for 3.
For the cards I'm using Ultra-Pro 18 slots card sheets in a 3 ring binder. I have all the cards sleeved and they fit perfectly (it even helped to fix the warping from the booster packs). You'll also notice that I can fit some card stock printed playmats in the binder as well and tuck the dice bags into the back of the binder.
http://www.amazon.com/Ultra-Pro-Pocket-Side-load-Pages/dp/B009WU5EG4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1398517926&sr=8-1&keywords=Ultra+Pro+18+pocket
For the Basic Action cards, Basic Action dice and Sidekick dice I fit them all into a standard Ultra Pro Deck Box (with the cards sleeved).
yea, no need to sleeve your whole collection. just sleeve decks as you make them. personally, i like flipping through my cards in a binder organized by set number rather than going through a bunch of cards in a box. i use these, two cards per pocket front and back.
for sleeves, i like the bcw colored double matte ones. you can find them on ebay for around 30$ for a 1000. i've been using bcw sleeves for the past two years and haven't had a single rip yet.
enjoy the game homie. once you get a feel of the game save this site on your phone. so useful.
The UtraPro Pro-Tower should work, though I'm not thrilled with the premium price tag.
edit: UltraPro also makes an "oversized deck box""oversized deck box" that is rather simpler and cheaper.
Hmm I was looking at amazon and found this:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0779Z1VLG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_3A.VDbTV9J97B
Judging by the reviews, it looks like it can fit 1000 double sleeved cards. Someone mentioned 800 double sleeved card in 4 rows and used the 5th row of misc accessories.

But personally for me in use something similar to these:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FO802R4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_aE.VDb45ZQBGR
I buy them at my LGS that sells them for pretty cheap and put them into my backpack ( 3 at most). Each can hold abt 3 decks each.
It's not the sexiest way to carry around decks, but it sure is cheap and effective...
Caseling case ment for Cards Against Humanity but I bought it for these instead. Was only $19 on Amazon.ca.
I'm copying my previous post:
I bought this off Amazon
Caseling Xtra Large Case 1650 cards
Cheap, holds 1650 cards (less sleeved I'm guessing), and has moveable dividers. Loving it. Room enough for all my cards and space to grow, and easy storage.
It's from Game of thrones pop rides daenerys
https://www.amazon.com/Funko-POP-Rides-Thrones-Daenerys/dp/B01AW5VFP6
Congratz as well
Here you go!
The price has gone up a fair bit since I ordered it last week though. I'm guessing it's due to it being sold through 3rd party vendors rather than Amazon itself.
This is what I've found for the 14 pocket:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/ol/B01CS104FE/ref=olp_tab_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new
http://www.fishpond.com/Toys/Ultimate-Guard-14-Pocket-Mini-American-Compact-Pages-Ultimate-Guard/4056133002516?utm_source=googleps&utm_medium=ps&utm_campaign=US&gclid=CjwKEAiA3NTFBRDKheuO6IG43VQSJAA74F77n-wo3qlOOeVXTEHmFf2JCe4cb9SXriBgKIU6Y8hZMxoCm9jw_wcB
And for the 32 pocket:
https://www.amazon.com/Pages-Pocket-Stand-Sleeves-Piece/dp/B01CS0ZUCC - (this is cheap and Prime eligible. 3 left!)
http://www.games-island.eu/en/32-pocket-pages-mini-american_269/
Edit: wrong link for the first 32 pocket
I use these pages, however they are for a smaller binder. But I load a page with the unit card, all unit specific upgrades and the things I never remove. Then I can pull the whole page and use it during play. Just flip the cards I'm not using.

Whoops, my phone I guess has learned to change MTG to MTGO I guess, my bad. I meant something like this:
http://www.amazon.com/Dragon-Shields-Protective-Sleeves-100-Pack/dp/B000P0SY44
@ /u/aetius476 - Both sides visible, but you can actually play with them! Good luck and Merry Christmas.
It's the Figma Samus
Link
I ordered it off Amazon it's the [Good Smile Metroid: Other M Samus Aran Figma Action Figure!] (http://www.amazon.com/Good-Smile-Metroid-Action-Figure/dp/B00712Y28Q/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1407345183&sr=8-1&keywords=figma+samus)
I didn't really get anything geeky, but I got a $25 GameStop gift card that I'll probably put toward Bravely Default, since I've got pretty much all the Wii U games I could want right now. I bought a few Steam games yesterday as well. Chief among them was XCOM: Enemy Unknown, which I've been dying to play, but my laptop hates it. Will try it on the desktop.
I do have a Visa gift card from my parents with about $60 left on it and I am considering either the Samus Figma or the Wind Waker Link Nendoroid. I really want Link but I feel like I have too many Links, as I also have the Link Figma and the Link amiibo and I preordered the Toon Link amiibo. But so cute! Gah, I am torn.
I use these
for Netrunner because they're cheap and work fine.
Over about 100-150 games with tons of shuffling, maybe 10 have split. That probably pains people who are sleeve connoisseurs, but I always have spares handy and they work for me.
This video was super informative for which high-end sleeves are best.
At my store the Ultra Pro are the cheapest one's. 100 for $8. Amazon have 200 for 10 https://www.amazon.com/Ultra-Pro-Black-Protector-Sleeves-2-Packs/dp/B009EXIAOC/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1481571065&sr=8-2&keywords=mtg+sleeves
Amazon is basically my go-to for almost everything.
If you want dirt cheap then go for these. My problem with them is that they are HORRIBLE for shuffling unless if they get worn out a bit.
My current go-to's are these. Roughly about 500% more expensive than the ones above, but I have absolutely 0 complaints with them. They are solid, have a back and they shuffle very well out of the bag.
You could get these sheets: https://www.amazon.com/Ultra-Pro-3-Hole-Side-Load-Pocket/dp/B009WU5EG4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1469986071&sr=8-1&keywords=ultra+pro+side+loading+pages
You can see me filling out some binders in this way here:
https://youtu.be/-2CTiWGkeS8?t=5m54s
I use the following products:
The binders come in 2 and 3 inch sizes as well, I believe. Regardless of what binder you use, I cannot speak highly enough of how perfectly the KMC sleeves fit in the Ultra Pro sheets. Definitely give it a shot.
Also, if you want to see a more detailed review of the binder itself, I look at it here:

I keep a Funko Pop! Deadpool on my desk for this very reason. You have no idea how much of an ass he can be...

My fiance would love this Funko Pop. He's made fun of me for owning the one I have (an evil Minion from Despicable Me 2), but freaks out over the superhero or GoT ones. So I'd love to give him his own Funko, with one of his favorite comic book "heroes".
Holy smokes, Batman!
Im just hoping I can control myself as I'm buying parts for a new pc and that going to take up the next few months...must find control!
I let myself have one more purchase yesterday before saving everything, couldn't help it.

Because my expensive pieces of cardboard aren't good enough with one piece of plastic to protect them
I have these
Wow congrats on your achievements!
As for the item you need, how about Dave Minion, Carl Minion, or EVIL MINION!
And as for me, I'd love Mean Girls!
Thanks for the contest and congrats again!
:D
My cheapest item and what I would like. Thanks for the contest!
I worked in a Ford service center, and I was asked by a supervisor to pull in a customers truck. He didn't realize that it was a cargo truck, which wouldn't fit into the garage. Me being new at the job didn't know that there is a clearance for tall trucks, and some don't fit into the service bay. I pulled it in and Crash!!! Ripped the top of the truck back like a can of sardines. Broke a water line that was in the ceiling, flooding the truck and the service bay. To make matters worse the customer saw it all happen. It was so humiliating.
I love my job
PS Happy Birthday Tomorrow!
Adventure Time!
Your son would love this
He would need Mini Finn and Mini Jake and possibly A big Finn and a big Jake to help fight away the Lich and nightmares!
Go ahead and random me. :)
Adventure Time :D
Folding credit card knife
Zombie Jake vinyl
Finn with sword vinyl
This shirt
Thanks for the contest. :) I like art.
This for you.. because holy shit the amount of cute.
This for me, even though it's not 20 dollars I'd love to have it. :P
Thanks for the contest! I love Kevin!
I couldn't decide so here's your item and another of yours I love Adventure time so I struggled to pick, if I win though a surprise is always nice :). So yeah, I'm cheating a little here 'cause screw rules! You're not my mum!
Hey Kevin, yeah you, Kevin.. I love you Kevin. Yeah that's right everyone I love Kevin.
Well, I obviously can't enter for the paperwhite as I only have a basic kindle on my list. I just want to say that guy is a butt and doesn't deserve you. You're definitely better off not being tied to a butt. Butt's are gross anyhow. They smell, and poop, and fart. You don't want to be attached to TWO of those! One is bad enough!! It's sad you lost your puppy, though. I'm so very sorry. She was absolutely gorgeous.
Your contest made me want to give you a thing, so this is why me and Hopeless got you a thing!
For nominating I'll go with /u/Sillygirlsarah, because she's awesome and should have things. I don't know if the shirts would be a thing for her, so if not I'd say something from her wishlist. She already has a Kindle.
For your apartment, since I don't feel like being practical, I suggest having this Funko Pop in it. Unless you already have her, in which case I lose anyway. :D
Impulsive Parasol
I love my Harley Quinn Funko
I have a collectibles list that the funkos are on. THANKS!
/u/Yokuo You're awesome! and I hope you're having a wonderful day/night!
hey hey /u/eileensariot! you're awesome too and i hope life is going just wonderfully for you!
Here's one I found, though it doesn't say prime, just free shipping! haha I've always found this case to be ADORABLE and I loveeee Harley Quinn (one half of my username of course!)
if that doesn't work, then hum:
THIS CUTIE RIGHT HERE!!!!
Oh more than well, I would say it was quite the adventure. I think I might love the twisted dark side...but only behind closed doors.
P.s. I love Harley Quinn. My girlfriend has a Harley wallet. I forgot I had this in my WL. seems slightly more perfect.
Bentonite clay [Ana] (http://www.amazon.com/Disney-Frozen-Anna-Medium-Plush/dp/B00G10YZWM/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1396844636&sr=8-3&keywords=ana) is my favorite Disney character. I feel like she's the first that didn't need a man's help to save her sister. I'm all about women standing on their own and as much as I love Disney I feel like that isn't such an awesome lesson they teach.
I'm also obsessed with [Harley Quinn] (http://www.amazon.com/Funko-POP-Heroes-Harley-Action/dp/B00DEK943W/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1396844728&sr=8-1&keywords=harley+quinn+funko) because she finally stopped putting up with Joker's shit and did her own thing lol. :)
Thanks for the contest!
I'm a Harley Quinn freak, so this is my #1 want at the moment...totally useless for anything other than for me to stare at when I'm at work! Happy Birthday! I'm sorry about the no card thing :( I wish you all the best!
Anything off This list aptly titled "Offiz Suppliez"
Specifically any of these: Marshmallow Man, Harley Quinn, Shredder, pretty pens, Since I can't use my WTF Stamp on official documents..., or these awesome PAC MAN PAPERCLIPS.
Mike Mike Mike Mike Mike Mike, you may say... what the hell does Funko Pop have to do with productivity? It makes me smile to look at them =)
Bonus picture of my office area
I picked up one of these, and really like it!
I can fit 2 decks in it, one in each tray, then where the "oversized" cards are supposed to go, I put two top loaders which hold each commander. I keep the rest of my decks in fat pack boxes... but I am looking to either get more of the tower boxes, or find another solution for bulk decks.
I keep my dice in a Canon lens bag like this They make great dice bags, and dont cost anything if you buy a fancy lens first!
I usually carry everything in my camera backpack it works great to have a backpack that is already designed to hold heavy junk. (plus, I can bring my camera too)
This has been around for a while and you can find an unmarked one here

It's actually my favorite deck box. I love putting sleeves in along with some basic lands, pen and paper and dice and going to a draft with everything I need. It's bulky, but I can just grab this thing and hold on to it rather than taking a whole backpack.
I have owned several and found the one major weakness to be the magnetic closure. Some boxes the closure may not eb set in properly and this will cause the closure to be weak. On those boxes I used low profile velcro ovals to fasten the box closed and it works just as well. On other boxes the magnets work just fine.
For deck boxes I recommend a Pro Tower Deck Box which conveniently holds two fully sleeved decks, and has additional space for any bits, or backup decks you'd like to carry. Once I got tired of sifting through an unsorted compartment for bits, I spent a few dollars on a small tackle box (I use this) to keep things sorted.
As for sleeves, this is a much more personal preference issue, but like Anlysia mentioned you're looking for "standard" TCG sized sleeves. Fantasy Flight has their own brand, but it'll come down to what you're looking for. Some people like to have cool cardbacks/art, some play strictly for the feel of the sleeve, and still others measure them strictly on durability.
For my money, I swear by Dragon Shield Mattes
They feel wonderful, stand up well over time, and come in all of the 5 colors of MtG. 10 bucks will be enough sleeves for both a runner and a corp deck, so they're not cheap, as sleeves go, but earn their investment over time.
This is my solution from Harbor Freight (used 20% of coupons for everything). The Aluminum case includes pluck foam and it is really nice looking for the price. It fits this command/speed dial case and this
tokens/dice case very well.
I use one of their larger plastic divider small parts cases for squadrons and ship bases. As you can tell, I don't like the more popular tackle/stacking box approach very much.
For all my cards I use this bc I can't stand binder sheets...
What to store things in
I use binders for commonly used cards and cardboard boxes for "bulk" cards (The cards you don't think you will use very often): 5000 capacity box, 800 capacity box
I also hear that these Stanley Organizers are also incredible for storage, as each compartment is the perfect size for a sleeved MTG commander deck (100 cards).
The binder should definitely be sorted. Not only is it more organized that way, you can find the cards you need much faster. The box can be unsorted, though I like to at least keep cards belonging to the same faction together.
This does run into the problem of occasionally not knowing whether a card is in the binder or box, but it has the advantage of giving you quicker access to the cards you most commonly use. I mostly do this because of habits from MTG, where you get tons of useless cards, but Netrunner doesn't give you nearly as many useless cards, so you could make the argument for storing all your cards together instead of differentiating between commonly used cards and bulk.
How to sort cards quickly
Your cards can be in whatever order you want: completely alphabetical, by faction and then by type and then alphabetical, by set, whatever. Your personal preference.
However, when it comes to sorting cards, or anything in general, there are fast ways to sort and slow ways to sort. Anyone who has studied computer science can attest to this. The difference is small when you only have a few cards, but quickly becomes massive as the number of cards grows.
Here are the two sorting algorithms you should know if you want to sort your cards quickly: Quicksort and Merge sort. They are among the fastest algorithms out there, they're easy to understand, and they're practical for sorting cards by hand. I'll explain them in the context of sorting cards below.
Quicksort
Here's how quicksort works for computers: Choose a "pivot" item at random from the unsorted pile. Now, go through everything and divide it into two piles: Those that would come before the pivot, and those that would come after the pivot. Then, sort each pile individually (usually with yet another quicksort). Once the piles are sorted, just combine them and put the pivot in between them, and voila, the pile as a whole is in order.
However, if you're a human, you'll find it more efficient to sort based on certain characteristics of the card that you can quickly identify (such as the card's faction) instead of whether or not the card comes before or after a randomly chosen pivot. In addition, you'll want to separate into multiple piles instead of just 2.
Here's an example: You want your cards sorted by faction and then in alphabetical order. You already sorted you cards by faction, and now, you want to sort your Anarch cards in alphabetical order. The cards you want to sort are in the following order: Wyldside, Demolition run, Deja Vu, Grimoire, Corroder, Medium, Yog.0, Stimhack, Parasite. The first step of quicksort is to divide the cards into piles. When sorting alphabetically, I like to make a pile for cards from A-E, one for F-M, one for N-R, and one last one for S-Z. However, as long as every card in one pile comes before every card in the next pile, it doesn't matter how you make your piles. So, dividing these unsorted cards into piles (according to my preferred sorting scheme), we get the following piles:
{Demolition run, Deja Vu, Corroder}, {Grimoire, Medium}, {Parasite}, {Wyldside, Stimhack, Yog.0}
Each individual pile is not in order, so we sort each pile individually (I would use another quicksort on these piles if they were bigger) to get:
{Corroder, Deja Vu, Demolition run}, {Grimoire, Medium}, {Parasite}, {Stimhack, Wyldside, Yog.0}
Then, we just combine the piles and we're good.
Merge sort
Here's how merge sort works for computers: Divide your big pile into 2 separate piles, and then sort those piles individually (Usually with another merge sort). Then, once the 2 piles are sorted, merge the piles into one sorted pile. The merging process is made much easier by the fact that the two piles are already sorted individually.
Here's how the merging process works: Look at the top item of both piles. Whichever one comes first gets added to the bottom of a new combined pile. Repeat until both piles are empty, and voila, your combined pile is sorted in order.
Example: You have the following sorted piles: {Demolition run, Yog.0, Wyldside}, {Corroder, Parasite}. The first elements of our 2 piles are Demolition run and Corroder. Corroder comes first, it becomes our new combined pile. Now, the top item of our 2 piles are Demolition Run and Parasite. Demolition run comes before Parasite, so it gets put at the bottom of our combined pile. The top cards of the piles are: Yog.0, Parasite. Parasite is put at the bottom of the combined pile. The second pile is now empty, so just put the rest of the first pile at the bottom of the combined pile. The combined pile looks like this: {Corroder, Demolition run, Parasite, Yog.0, Wyldside}. It's sorted, yay!
If you're a human, you'll be doing mostly the same thing as the computer. However, instead of having to lift up the combined pile to put a card at the bottom of it, you can instead make the entire combined pile face-down and add cards to the top. When you're done merging, just flip the combined pile upside-down.
Which one?
From experience, quicksort is a lot better if you have an unorganized mess to sort.
However, if you're adding some brand new cards to an already sorted collection, you'll want to use mergesort instead, since your collection is already sorted. Simply sort the new cards, and then merge the pile of new cards and your already sorted collection.
How NOT to sort your cards
Perhaps you currently sort your cards like this: Pull a card out of the unsorted pile, find out where it goes in your pile of sorted cards, then put it there. Repeat until unsorted pile is empty.
Or, maybe you do this: Go through the unsorted pile, find the item in the pile that goes below every other item in the unsorted pile, put that item at the bottom of the sorted pile. Repeat until unsorted pile is empty.
If they feel slow, that's because they are. They're mathematically inferior to quicksort and merge sort. The first method is actually OK if you want to just put back a card you took out of your collection, but if you have more than a few cards to add to your collection, merge sort instead.
2nding the BCW boxes. I bought a bunch of them and printed out dividers and they work wonderfully.
I ended up getting the 800 count boxes. With nightmare cards, you can easily store 2 full cycles in one box. Without nightmare cards, you can store 3.
800 is also nice for player cards as you're able to store all of them in two boxes. I have green and red (and the ring/bilbo cards) in one box, and blue, purple, and neutral in the other.
You can get 10 boxes on Amazon for $16. That's been enough so far to store all the cards including anything upcoming from the Rhovanion cycle.
https://www.amazon.com/BCW-Count-Corrugated-Cardboard-Storage/dp/B00FO802R4/
As some other players have mentioned, BCW has amazing boxes for storage. I have a very large collection, somewhere over 8000 cards (rough guess because I ran out of boxes and I still have more cards to put away.)
But I prefer to use the 800 count boxes because they are long, single row, and I can stack them how I see fit.
But if you want all the cards in just a few boxes, BCW also has a 5000 card box. I probably should've gone with these to be honest.
I am obsessed with three things. Disney, Marvel, and The Walking Dead... What's great is that disney owns some marvel. I think I buy too much and I can tell when I'm going on about marvel and some doesn't care, but I keep talking more anyway!
There are so many items on my lists!
A few funko pop items that you could have fun choosing to total $30 a lot of disney, marvel, and walking dead. That's actually all that's on there.
The newbies: Star Lord Rocket Gamora Drax Groot
Toy story is my favorite. The characters are all flawless. So it's cool they're doing the Pixar shorts such as the terror short.
But here is my disney list idk. Maybe attach a funko pop to a movie. See if we can become best friends by your taste.
walking dead just to throw them in the ring. Again. I only talk about these things and some get annoyed some enjoy the discussions.
$25 + $9.95 shipping on amazon, if you can't find anyone to trade with. Good luck man.
NOTE: The Groot figure from July was an exclusive glow in the dark version, which the Amazon version lacks. Just so you know. :)
Other ones that are cheaper:

The KMC Hyper Mat (Matte) Premiums are probably the less opaque of the KMC brand sleeves. They have a different back texture in comparison to the KMC Hyper Mats (Mattes), but the plastic on the front is slightly more glossy, which slightly clouds viewing (you can still see your card perfectly clear, but it doesn't quite let the foils "pop"). It's super minor, but if you're going for the backs not showing, the different texture does help. I think they come in colors other than black, but you have to look around (Amazon is my reference point). Ask your LGS for them.
You're making a good decision by choosing KMCs, that's for sure. The Premiums also have a great shuffle feel if that helps.
Edit: I should have referenced you to the Professor for further details on the Premiums. As they say, it's never too late.
Also should have said this earlier (and my spelling was bad too...that's what happens when I reddit before my AM coffee), but I use these sleeves and have never had an issue with seeing the backs of cards with them. I believe they are the Premiums, but I could be wrong. They have the gloss and texture, so I'm assuming they're Premiums. If they have the same type of plastic in white as they do in black, you shouldn't have an issue with seeing your cards. I use KMCs for everything and they work wonderfully with my double faced cards. I'd recommend them to anyone. My buddy who uses Dragon Shields shuffled with my cards and couldn't stop for a solid hour (I have weird friends). He couldn't believe how they can pull off double sleeving so well and how nicely they shuffled. So there's that upside plus the visibility. Judges seem to like them.
@OP... I've been doing some research online and you may find this helpful. I found Tolarian Community College browsing YouTube and although his videos are pretty cheesy and aimed for MTG, a lot of the same principles for card storage apply since MTG and PTCG both use the same standard size cards. After watching almost 80 of his videos (my wife is still laughing at me), I decided to forego my initial plans for storing cards in toploaders. I'll instead be using the toploaders I already bought to sell and trade cards through the mail. The #1 reason why I gave up on toploaders for storage was because the only solution I could find involved commissioning a custom box. I couldn't justify spending the $100's to $1,000's it would require to commission a company like Wyrmwood Quality Gaming Supplies to custom-make a wooden box of sufficient size to store toploaders.
The new storage solution I decided on was to buy 400 (200x2) KMC perfect fit inner sleeves and 400 KMC Hyper Mattes, plus the DEX Protection Creation Line - Medium Box for storing my play decks, the DEX Binder 12 for storing my personal collection, and the DEX Binder 4 for storing the cards I have available for trade.
Let me know if you find any other solutions for storing toploaders!
Edit: Hidden among his hundreds of videos, I found this which includes a review of Kakapopo cases. It looks like the company stopped selling some of their other products in favor of their A2 Briefcase, B2 Carry Case, and D2 Case Cube. It looks like prices for these products are pretty steep and unfortunately they don't have the best reviews. But it's something!
The youtuber "the Professor" reccomends KMC Hyper Matte's and double sleeving with them.
The below links lead to amazon bundles of them at a pretty great price.

Player cards - BCW Z-folio binder
Encounter decks - Hobby Lobby artist box (black) w/ broken token artist box organizer that I will paint black
The artist box is what is used for LotR LCG encounter decks and, though it probably won't be needed for this block of expansions, it will be needed later. The Arkham Horror core set box with the Go7Gaming insert just will work short term but won't cut it later except for possibly carrying decks and tokens.
Also, there are these cool little distressed trunk boxes that are on sale for $2 a piece right now. They are just large enough for each one to carry all of a single type of tokens from 2 base sets. It is large enough to hold, but isn't large enough to randomize the chaos tokens. A major pro is that there is a different color trunk for each token - tan (resource), red (health), blue (sanity), black (chaos), and wood brown (clue/doom). They also stay open so you can see what is in each one during play.
I have had over the years several different ways, but the one I use today consists of several portfolio books/binders, three ring binders and ultra pro 9 card pages and two 4k card boxes.
I no longer maintain a trade binder. I did when I was younger and played more and frequently visited FNM and game nights. But now that I have moved in to more of a collector role I only play with close friends maybe once a month, so I don't really trade anymore (not sure if the kids still do these days). My trade binder disappeared when I really embraced selling off unnecessary items and started using buylists almost exclusively.
Since these days I do more buying of collections and selling to fund my own collecting I have a great deal of extra boxes, 5k card storage boxes and binders. These are just to organize the sales. Most of the time I sell them with the bulk and replenish with each purchase. From the collections over the years I've acquired a great deal of starter boxes, deck boxes, dividers, stickers, foam inserts, etc that I use in my own collection and to help organize the purchases. These have been some of the most interesting finds, just seeing what other people use to organize is interesting.
I've also purchased shelving from Home Depot to store my collection and the purchases I have going on. Each shelf is dedicated to shipping materials, empty boxes, my stuff or a purchase.
What I see mostly from the collections I acquire is that most use three ring binders for rares/mythics and either separate by color or just leave it to utter chaos (the latter being the worst as its usually shoes boxes and random plastic tubes full, which damage cards).
I was incredibly happy with this 4x3 binder:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VFXWBZS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I'm still using ziplock bags for dice storage, unfortunately, but I travel with UltraPro deck boxes and just ordered this for two deck travel:

They also come in completely clear which TachiRana123 uses and a bunch of other colors too
If you're looking for a more affordable solution, I would recommend buying this case card ($20) for storing deckboxes + bagged components. You would then use something like a laptop sleeve ($10) to store boards and other paper bits.

These Ultra Pro sleeves? I have them and really like them, although I've never used the FFG ones, so I can't give you a comparison there. And there are 3 reviews on that Amazon page, all positive.
I do mine like LTJkrazyglue04, but without the alphabetical order. However, I have 2 binders. In one i have the factions pilot cards, then their faction restricted cards, then the next faction and so on. Then in the second binder I have all of the non faction restricted cards sorted by type and points. I use full size binders though as my collection quickly outgrew the capacity of the Ultimate Guard Binder you linked to. I use the standard sleeves and these: https://www.amazon.com/Ultra-Platinum-Pocket-American-Cards/dp/B01ARJ9AT0/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1486843453&sr=8-1-fkmr0&keywords=ultra+pro+binder+pages+16+pocket
I have been having the same issue trying to figure out how I want to store all my dials and tiles. I have noticed that if you want to do binders that the small base tiles fit into the old 1.0 Mini upgrade card sized pages, the medium fit into the Normal card sized pages and the large bases fit into the 4 Slot sheets. In terms of dials I have been reading that people have been using These sheets. I have been on the fence about using binders for these, but I already have a box of 100 mini upgrade sheets from 1.0 that I still have like 80% of because I bought it before 2.0 was announced thinking I would need them. I was considering doing card and coin boxes for them. I know Coin boxes are popular as well for dials and small bases, but for the medium and large I don't really have a solution to those right now. I know I can fit the large into Card boxes, but I don't know if there is a better solution for medium bases.
I use this for Pilot Cards and all the Upgrades.

This works well for me, and I keep all my Game night stuff in a box by Crafted Storage ( Asteroids, Deck, builds and ships etc )

Ultra Pro sheets are definitely cheaper too. You can buy 100 for $20. I also have a massive 4 inch 3-ring binder that holds all the pilot and upgrade cards I am not currently using.
If you want to carry around only the upgrades that you play with then /u/neexneex has a good option. If you want something cheap and efficient to store your extra cards then my way works just fine.
I sleeved them with FFG red, Mini European sleeves.
Additionally, this holds those cards very nicely (even when sleeved): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016X2QV92/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

500 sleves for < £20 and they are great quality and feel great. I don't double sleeve my cards and I love the clear sleeves as they let you see the archon art. They feel good in the hand and, honestly, I can't tell the difference between these and the Dragon shield sleeves I used originally.
I use a KMC Perfect Fit to protect the inside as well as a Dragon Shield clear sleeve for the outer sleeve. It is a bit pricey to use this method but it offers the best protection with a water resistant seal that will not require the mane character to be pulled out every time it flips.
Hello. I'm not an active player of the card game and never was (except some older videogame titles), but I recently stumbled upon the Legendary Decks II box and bought it because of nostalgia.
After researching for some time which are the best protective sleeves, I bought the Standard Clear ones from Dragon Shield. Well, needless to say: it was the wrong size. After further research, it seems that the Dragon Shield Minis would be the right choice.
My question: How do the Minis compare from the feel/look to the Standard ones? I like the Standard ones a lot. And I know what many want to say: "Go with KMC or go homu." Sadly, I live in a part of Europe where KMC Hyper Mat Minis cost 70% more, so they're not an option.
Ultra pro clear is good, but I prefer Dragon Shield Clear https://www.amazon.com/Dragon-Shield-Protective-Sleeves-100-Pack or Dragon Shield Matte Black https://www.amazon.com/Arcane-Tinman-Dragon-Protective-Sleeves/

Triple sleeves:

Absolutely love the Dragon Shield sleeves. They feel good, and the different color options are great.

How is the quality? I'm sure you can't position it like a figma but is it at least decent?
Sry I'm late with this reply but, here you go. Cheaper than what I paid to import the figure.
Ultra pro like these?
And then what brand/type would you use for the inner sleeve if double sleeved?
i'd just buy a pre-constructed (pre-con) deck
Don't forget sleeves and a deck box
In the end, it'll probably cost about the same as it would collecting each of the singles for whatever you come up with. These are also pre-built and tested by wotc.
Top loaders for really expensive cards.
I normally use a thick sleeve idk what they are called bit they are normally a solid color or have a picture on them. And place it in a top loader.
Normally it's like 200 for 12$ on Amazon for non brand picture sleeves.

I store my bulk in MTG fat packs or in the pokemon world what would be elite trainer boxes.
I also have like 1000 penny sleeves laying around just in case:

I just use old binder I used when I was kid or your can just go to any office supply store and get three ring binders for a few dollars.
Find a method that is most convenient for you and allows you to make and alter cards as quickly as possible.
What works for me:
I use 3x5 index cards cut in half for my initial prototypes. Once I want a higher quality prototype I use multideck for mac. Multideck takes csv datasources for card content and then you use a wysiwyg editor for card layout. I then print the cards on regular printer paper and cut them with a guillotine paper cutter. Cutting was the biggest time sink for me, so I think a good paper cutter is essential. Once cut, I sleeve the cards with a magic card as a back to make them sturdy. One last tip: If you are going to sleeve your cards, make the layout of the cards you print slightly smaller than the sleeve you plan to put it in.

edit: lists are hard
While you may not be pricing the cards, using the pricing guide on tcgplayer.com is a good place to start organizing specific sets. It can also give you a general market value for all conditions as you are organizing. If you see the market value on a specific card is much higher than others in the set, you should consider protecting that one with penny and hard sleeves(or depending on the card, perhaps more than that). If you are going to store your cards in binders, i recommend these sleeves for inside sleeves and these sleeves for the outside soft sleeve prior to putting in a binder like this or like this.
Can't see your imgur link at work but you basically have two types of binder sleeve pages:
Top loading: https://www.amazon.com/Ultra-Pro-Pocket-Page-Protectors/dp/B005HIOVOG/ref=sr_1_2?crid=1PW6S35QEALPQ&keywords=ultra+pro+binder+sleeves&qid=1564147002&s=toys-and-games&sprefix=ultra+pro+binder+sl%2Ctoys-and-games%2C151&sr=1-2
Side loading: https://www.amazon.com/18-Pocket-Platinum-Side-Black-Background/dp/B009WU5EG4
I tried switching to binders, got nice ultra pro platinum sheets and ultra pro 3-ring binders (found some space themed ones somewhere)
Nope! Takes up way too much space and too slow to access. Went straight back to the cardboard boxes with labeled tab dividers.
If you still want to do it, I'd be willing to sell you mine cheap if shipping costs are reasonable
Commons aren't really binderable in the first place. I wouldn't bother with them. Side-loading sheets would definitely be the way to go if you can't keep your binder right side up consistently.
Buy a white long box at your FLGS for a couple bux, sleeve all the encounter cards and put them in there.
Buy Ultra pro Black pages (https://www.amazon.com/18-Pocket-Platinum-Side-Black-Background/dp/B009WU5EG4) and put your player cards in a binder with them.
Actually if youre willing to splurge and upgrade I would recommend these: http://www.amazon.com/Ultra-Pro-Pocket-Side-load-Pages/dp/B009WU5EG4/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1422654715&sr=8-4&keywords=ultra+pro+binder+pages
Local shop happens to sell them for the same price as the platinum ones so check your store and see if they carry and how much they charge. The black background makes the cards pop more and you wont see imperfections of the back of cards if you put 2 per page.

if you go to Hot Topic they have Deadpool in his X-Force suit.
Hm, I can't decide if the Joker from the '60s is scary enough. Or if Deadpool would make for a scarier choice. (They're so good that they're scary.)
A true story, for you:
Once we had my cousin staying with us for a couple of weeks since things were kind of bad at her place. One night, we stayed up late and were talking about her boyfriend and how he was accused of murder (and how she totally knew he was innocent). How did she know? The ghost of the little girl told her. I scoffed at the notion inside but when I happened to glance at couch that no one had been sitting in, I saw the indent of someone sitting there. And across the room, you could see this little girl in a dress sitting on the couch on the TV screen which had been off all night. This was kind of spooky. But what made it scary for me was my cousin talking about being possessed and attempting to choke me. Dx I managed to call my mom at work and she got home as soon as she could. While I don't know whatever happened afterwards with my cousin, I do know that she went back home that next day after visiting a local church to get exorcised. (Because of this, I've been very weary to be around her.)
Happy Funko Friday!
This one time at band camp.....

Sorry if this is unrelated to my post but can these sleeves fit MB cards?

I sleeve all cards with these. http://www.amazon.com/ULTRA-Sleeves-PRO-FIT-Pokemon-STANDARD/dp/B00AXDBDK0/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1413312197&sr=8-3&keywords=ultra-pro+sleeves
I then put them in these. 6 in each pocket cause I buy two datapacks generally. http://www.amazon.com/Ultra-Pro-9-Pocket-Trading-Pages/dp/B00095M5DQ/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1413312335&sr=8-7&keywords=ultra-pro+binder

Hope that helps

These Sleeves to be exact. Cheap and effective. Once I figure out the tray inserts for the can Ill pick one up from the Navy Surplus store near my office.

and http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AXDBDK0/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3D837HPFDOSWS for double sleeving all my cards. Or at least one of each unique card for collection purposes.
Edit: Typo
I realize this is irrelevant to your actual question but I use Ultra Pro Inner Sleeves for my Leader card and protecting rares that I'm not currently using. They fit like a glove and keep my super rares from scuffs when they're not sleeved in a deck. Great for double sleeving too. They also fit pretty much any standard card; I use them for Magic for the same purpose. They fit great inside my Dragon Shield sleeves but I don't usually double sleeve. Makes the deck too fat and it just falls over. Don't know how people do it.

/u/Shercock_Holmes deserves this Funko because their credit card got stolen last night. And if I win the nomination, I would prefer to give it to SH and add the cat treats to the gifting.
Adventure time Funko
Because omg it's so cute
I really love the comics/graphic novels, and I think that they would make a great gift because they just offer more Adventure Time content especially for those who have watched the full series and crave more. Other that that the Funko Pop Figures are fun but not that great for playing with. Maybe the best thing for an 8 year old would be the smaller figurines. And if he hasn't watched the full series yet then there is always the DVD's!
got em all! Ugly face and facial hair that doens't belong but I do it for the contests!
my gift choice.
Harley Quinn so I can add her to my collection of Batman-themed funko pops. Also because I love Harley Quinn!
Butts are super funny!
DUN NA NA NA NA NA NA N--Nice try, Bats!
Sorry but it can't hold all of the tokens. I would say it fits about half of them. This is totally enough for me and I take this setup to tournaments and gamenights. But if you want to store everything you might look for another solution.
Maybe this one Pro Tower
I have not used this but it seems like it can fit 2 decks and most or all of the tokens.
we must be talking about different boxes lol
http://www.amazon.com/Pro-Tower-Deck-Box-Black/dp/B00DHQSG6O
perhaps i wasnt using the right name lol.
this one has a magnetic latch
Here you go
I have most scenarios in a Go7gaming box insert (make sure you order the correct insert if you decide to go with this one; apparently there is a newer run of Lord of the Rings Card game Core boxes that were a slightly different size. The lgc-006 insert fits both sizes). I love it, but I have mostly replaced the acrylic dividers with card board dividers in order to pack as many cards as possible. Also, I don't sleeve my encounter cards.
My player cards are in a large binder with Ultra Pro, 9-pocket card pages with colored dividers for each sphere.
I have my current deck/s and scenarios along with Team Covenant Adventure Tokens and various dice (for threat tracking and willpower counting, etc.) in this deck box called the Pro Tower.
They are the same size as the oversized Commander cards as well as Planechase, which I believe are all 3x5 inches.
I see that they should fit on the size chart lying down in the main compartment, but that seems like an awkward solution for people who like to keep them with their counterpart decks, as it may not close with several of these stacked beneath a deck. That's pretty much what I am wondering.
Also, it looks like if you used some of the real-estate on the bottom of the lid, you could probably add a simple means of holding oversized cards. (It's super picky, but the one thing keeping me with my current box is that it holds my Archenemy deck as well)
I bought This Pro Tower after someone posted it on here before. As a bit of a challenge, I made my travel box with the intent of getting a wide variety of small-box travel-easy games for between 2 and 6 players.

I've managed to fit the following games:
I love it and it travels with me almost everywhere. I'm debating trying to fit Mint delivery in there in lieu or Red7/Loveletter.
I use either:
XCB boxes by carat case creations
Or
BCW baseball card boxes (they come in a lot of different sizes)
Are you talking about deck boxes or looking for larger storage? I collect both Pokemon and MTG so I usually just use these for my bulk cards. It keeps them in pretty good condition as long as you're not constantly moving cards back and forth and sleeved cards do fit as well.
If you're looking storing your foils/money cards I suggest getting a binder instead. Sleeves also help here as well, but I prefer the Monster or DeckTutor binders (if you can find the non knockoff version). They're usually high quality.
For deck boxes, pretty much anything works. You can probably just hop on amazon and search around a bit. I have some more expensive ones that I use just out of preference. Regular old Ultra Pro boxes ususally do the trick, I know they have a pokeball variant as well but I don't know the quality.
I scan the cards I want to keep into the Delver Lens app then store them in these boxes - sorted by color and rarity.
I've shipped a full collection in multiple 800 card boxes (see https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FO802R4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_d30UzbSG4XTXN for an example) with no problems. Mine were sleeved with penny sleeves so that helps protect them but isn't required. The main thing is to make sure the boxes are full enough that cards have limited movement inside. I put a little bubble wrap around them as well.
For dice, I received a Destiny collection by mail and the dice fit nicely in small bubble wrap bags or, alternatively, in zip lock bags with a layer of bubble wrap around them. Again the goal is to fill the bags so there's little room for the dice to bounce around.
You could get a Funko Pop bobblehead: Bobblehead
Not the same, but the best I got...
I got it in a lootcrate so i wouldn't know. Amazon maybe?
Edit: Here it is
You can be amazing too if you can locate a flower pot.

https://www.amazon.com/NINTENDO-World-Metroid-Action-Figure/dp/B00ST2AFOW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1472998430&sr=8-1&keywords=metroid+toy
EDIT: There's 6 in stock on Amazon
Price is $55.99. Amazon has it for 44.98 and is prime eligible.
Pretty sure Nintendo wanted people to buy their World of Nintendo toys if they wanted figures, but the only one I have that doesn't feel like a cheap toy is the six inch Metroid. Now granted that thing just feels awesome to hold in your hand, but the rest of WoN has some snags, like inconsistent paint jobs, characters that can't stand up without some kind of support, and the good ones are even harder to find than some amiibo.
KMC Hyper Matte Sleeves Black ×5 Sets (5 Packs/total 400 Sheets) ( Japan Import ) Made in Japan https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00VCQXQAW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_kNEJAbKM27CSB
I’ve been ordering these kmc hyper mats from amazon for a year now every time I start to run low. So far no splits.
Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/KMC-Hyper-Matte-Sleeves-Sheets/dp/B00VCQXQAW/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1468421850&sr=8-2&keywords=kmc+hyper+matte
Argh. I can't math. I think it's more like $5.40 per 80:

Here is what I've been buying, first for my cube then later for random decks. 400 KMC Hyper Mattes for ~$20 is hard to beat. People say that KMC quality has dropped, but I haven't noticed with these.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00VCQXQAW/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1526220624&sr=8-6&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=kmc%2Bsleeves&dpPl=1&dpID=618KNdeE2TL&ref=plSrch&th=1&psc=1. Excellent quality for price. You can get a ten pack too
How valuable are we talking here? I tend to do sleeves in a nice binder for my really valuable cards, perfect fits in a long box for my playable common/uncommons, foils, etc. Unsleeved in a long box for bulk rares. Assorted commons and uncommons in the fat pack box that matches their set symbol.
I have one of these that I really like: https://www.amazon.com/12-Pocket-Z-Folio-Trading-Albums-Black/dp/B00VFXWBZS/ref=sr_1_1
12-Pocket Z-Folio LX Trading Card Albums, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00VFXWBZS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_qUB-AbHAXQ3TQ
That’s the album he is using.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VFXWBZS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I have all my cards double sleeved with kmc perfect fits inside of kmc hyper mattes.
Characters are (currently) in FFG sleeves (rey for hero, kylo for villain) and those fit just fine as well
1x Stanley Organizer
2x BCW Z-Folio 12-Pocket Albums [1 for AWK, 1 for SoR]
2x Sets of 5 Ultra Pro Deck Boxes
The deck boxes aren't all for SWD, I have some Pokemon as well. I'm probably going to end up buying some of the cheap BCW card boxes to store all my duplicates / bulk in as it's easier than throwing them in like 4 deck boxes.
It kind of sucks to lug the stuff around so I am looking into either getting a rolling backpack or tool holder to put everything in or just like a duffle bag to throw it all in.
Dragonshields, matte black with perfect fit sleeves (that load from the top). Load card into sleeve upside down, then put into Dragonshield right-side up.
Then, Ultimate Guard Sidewinder 80+. Five of these fit perfectly into the Ultimate Guard Superhive 550+.
Chessex dice are great for the dice tray. Now, the dice tray in the Superhive is a little awkward, and dice fall out easily or it jams sometimes while trying to pull it out or put it back. So I use a spice bag to hold the dice (also helps make sure they don't just fall everywhere when pulling the tray out, etc.)
And, of course, my two favorite playmats fit in the Superhive as well.
I can't really find pictures of the sleeves themselves either, so if I remember to snap a couple pics when I get home from work in a couple hours I will. There are a ton of colors, but make sure you're getting the ones with the triangular label like the one listed here. Those are the newer, higher-quality ones. The ones with the rectangular label (where it says the color) is older and of lower quality.
Do they mean sleeves like this?
Dragon Shield Matte Black 100 Protective Sleeves https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00WX57O7M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_k5z5BbJ4V6VF6
I had a cube of 360 cards and 40 of each land. So I ended up getting 6 boxes of Dragon shields.
https://www.amazon.com/Dragon-Shield-Matte-Protective-Sleeves/dp/B00WX57O7M/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1478157459&sr=8-1&keywords=dragon+shield
They are 10.49 a box here on amazon. Each box has 100 sleeves so that gave me enough to sleeve my cube, my lands and had some extras just in case.
I have mine double sleeved with these for perfect fit and these for the outer sleeves. Fits perfectly and feels great to shuffle
Best bet for storing a large lot of cards is cardboard boxes such as those you're seeing online. Anything will do, really. If you're concerned about the long term health of the cards you'll need to keep them in a watertight container in a temperature controlled room.
As for card sleeves, most folks will use one of the following (listed from most to least durable, roughly):
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00WX57O7M/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I’ve home printed well over 1000 cards over the last few years. Here’s the supplies I use:
Cheap Standard Playing Cards:

Dragon Shield sleeves: (better feel, opacity, and no watermark)
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00WX57O7M/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1527088164&sr=8-3&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=dragon+sleeves
Optional new addition, Dragon Shield Smoke sleeves: (Love these things)

Cutting: Heavy box cutter, metal ruler, cutting surface.
Paper: Prefer 25-30lbs, but really anything. (free is best)
Then: Load all your playing cards backwards into your card sleeves (back pattern of the card showing through the front). Then all you need to do is cut out your paper cards and slide them into the sleeve; easy peasy.
The thing that always bugged me was the numbers and suits showing through the back of the card sleeve, so I would always need to buy black or dark sleeves. You don’t want to turn it around though, because it’s way worse to see those suits showing through your custom card; why you want a nice and simple repeating pattern as to not be destracting. The nice thing about the new smoke sleeves is that you load your playing cards into those then put them into your color sleeve and bam, no more suits showing through the back of your sleeves even with lighter colors.
One recommendation for the smoke sleeves is that you load them upside-down into the color sleeve; that way you can avoid sillyness later when you want to pull out your paper cards.
Earlier this year I saved up and bough 1000 cards, color sleeves, and smoke sleeves, a card box, and spent a day loading them all up and storing them. Really nice to be able to have a bunch of them avalible at anytime. One party, my friends and I just made a silly card game out of the blue and it was great to be able to pull that box out and have a stable way to shuffle and hold the cards (at the time, folded post-its notes).
Caseling has done me well. This, or this depending on your size needs
Caseling Extra Large Hard Case (2 Row) for C. A. H. Card Game. Fits the Main Game, All 6 Expansions Plus. Includes 6 Moveable Dividers. Fits up to 1650 Cards. - Card Game Sold Separately. Black https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B017237OJW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_HC5CCbF5NJHRD
It went up in price a bit from when I bought it but it's still a solid cheaper option.
Just stumbled across this on amazon...it has dividers you can move to customize your collection of cards/dice...https://www.amazon.com/Caseling-Expansions-Moveable-Dividers-Cards/dp/B017237OJW/ref=sr_1_49?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1481861392&sr=1-49&keywords=deck+box
Tak - Abstract game, very flexible, very fun! Feels like checkers and chess. Put the pieces in a bag to bring with.
Jump Drive / Race for the Galaxy (put it in a deck box) - engine building VP generation games about space, very replayable.
Cave Vs Cave - Super fun worker placement ish game.
Lost Cities - Fun 2 player game, can be reboxed. Just cards, very deep gameplay from just cards.
Patchwork - Puzzle tetris style game, lovely theme and artwork.
Jaipur - My GF's favorite game, fun little set collection game.
Onitama - Pretty large box, but very fun 2 player game. Could Proxy pieces and bring just the card and roll up board.
I bought this case, and whenever I travel I slap a bunch of small box/card games in it. Makes traveling with games super easy.
They're not plastic or cardboard, but I used this for base game + 2 expansions, and upgraded to this for base game + 3 expansions. I've been loving it, very compact for the amount of cards they carry, and very easy to travel with.
Here is what I bought for the upgrade cards:

Hello, it appears you tried to put a link in a title, since most users cant click these I have placed it here for you
^I ^am ^a ^bot ^if ^you ^have ^any ^suggestions ^dm ^me
I did not sleeve them but store them in binders using these pages.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01E5YK6IW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Smaller cards are stored in these.

I have one of those also, it works great for the tokens and cards. The small containers fit the upgrade cards, the larger containers fit the big cards, so far the only thing that doesn't fit are the movement and range pieces. The best part of that the little containers come out. When we play we just take out the shield, focus, evade and stress cups so the tokens aren't floating around loose on the table. I'm going to move the cards over to a binder as soon as I get the binder sheets that hold the upgrade cards.
For the models, bases and dials I purchased one of these: Plano Double Cover Two Sided Tackle Organizer. It fits everything I have, very well. The bases, movement and range finder all fit in the top part, the smaller ships and a few of the larger ships fit in the bottom. I don't think it will fit the Ghost, and I'm not sure what I'm going to do about that ship.
Finally I bought a bunch of single felt sheets in the craft area at Wal-Mart, I cut the felt into strips and use it as a liner for each of the compartments that holds a ship. I'm not sure if will really help that much much but it makes me feel better. For big ships like the Decimator and Falcon I just wrapped them in a piece of felt.

The coolest thing on my wishlist is Daenerys and her dragon Thanks for the contest!

Yep. They also made one of the Knight King on the dead one.
That's the Dany from atop the Drogon figure

That's not an exclusive so you can buy it anywhere. Or via Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Funko-POP-Rides-Thrones-Daenerys/dp/B01AW5VFP6/ref=sr_1_1
Mine is getting a pop figure of Daenerys riding on a dragon. He's really into GoT and Danerys is his favourite character (after Melisandre, I already bought him a Melisandre and Groot pop figure).
For our first christmas I gave him a map with pins so he could mark where he had travelled, where we had travelled together and where he wanted to travel in the future.
I found them on Amazon UK, closest to me, for £5.86 and prime availability.
Thanks for your help people.

I use A case or army case because I like magnet solutions
And I use a husky organizer from Home Depot for bits
These are great too https://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Guard-Pages-Pocket-Sleeves/dp/B01CS104FE/ref=gp_aw_ybh_a_13?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=Y76VZ2HVBP5J9HH1B6HQ
I have a Battle Foam bag that I use for transporting whatever minis I'm using, and then the rest of my minis get stored in Plano tackle storage containers. My dice and tokens go in a smaller Plano container that fits in the front pocket of my Battle Foam bag. My cards go in these: https://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Guard-Pages-Pocket-Sleeves/dp/B01CS104FE/ref=pd_rhf_ee_s_rp_c_0_4/146-1777481-1254310?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B01CS104FE&pd_rd_r=9d6f0972-32f7-4251-b4cb-92737b717bc1&pd_rd_w=7prSU&pd_rd_wg=lrBnI&pf_rd_p=08488724-755c-4f52-8612-2237abee1792&pf_rd_r=7QV4PCAJ5JV8PPEFMEJD&psc=1&refRID=7QV4PCAJ5JV8PPEFMEJD
with this binder: https://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Guard-Supreme-Compact-Sleeves/dp/B01CS10602/ref=pd_bxgy_21_img_2/146-1777481-1254310?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B01CS10602&pd_rd_r=ff240fbf-0c84-4a69-a8e6-35dcddf6c9b0&pd_rd_w=kZv1W&pd_rd_wg=ZVNEQ&pf_rd_p=a2006322-0bc0-4db9-a08e-d168c18ce6f0&pf_rd_r=DEBAWC18GGTMM6VZHP08&psc=1&refRID=DEBAWC18GGTMM6VZHP08
I can't recommend that card storage solution enough, because you can keep your unit cards and their relevant upgrade cards all on the same page, and then just flip any upgrade cards you aren't using face-down, and keep everything in the pages during your games. Makes setting up and putting away much easier, and misplacing cards a lot less likely.
Speaking of the 32 pocket ones, here's the exact pages you wanted on Amazon. https://smile.amazon.com/Pages-Pocket-Stand-Sleeves-Piece/dp/B01CS104FE/ref=wl_mb_wl_huc_mrai_1_dp
I got a set of these sleeves for tournament play (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01CS104FE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and am really liking the idea of horizontal ship cards. Might have to make some alt arts myself by the next tournament.
I use these for Netrunner and they hold up very well: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AXDBDK0/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Sleeved my SWDestiny cards in them as well and they fit perfectly.
If you want boxes for all of them, the most efficient options for 100 sleeved cards are here:
Single boxes
https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/search/?q=Deck+box+100+cards
https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/products/fantasy-flight-supply/products/deck-box-black/
These also include detachable dice compartments if you want to include a couple of D20s and D6s for life and counters.
Or
Dual boxes
Pro Tower Deck Box, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DHQSG6O/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_PDqgAbM6J9FN4
These hold 2 decks, and come with an extra slot that holds 10ish sleeved cards, or any die smaller than a standard D20.
