After traveling to Japan a couple of times I just couldn't go back to scraping my ass with dry paper like a filthy animal. I felt like a third-world savage using restrooms in Japan and reflecting on my own caveman-esque civilization back home. I bought a smart-toilet seat / bidet the second I got home. 250 dollars and the thing has a heated seat, press a button and it sprays you clean, oscillating function... You can adjust the water temperature and water pressure. Anywhere from a spittle to glorious paint-stripping power. The whole process is indescribably more comfortable and more hygienic. For the first couple weeks I'd give it one wipe afterwards to make sure there was no residual poo left in the area but it gets the job done EVERY SINGLE TIME. Without fail. The seat also has a drying function so I haven't used a single piece of toilet paper in months. If you don't have a couple hundred dollars to splurge on a high-tech life-changing toilet seat you can buy an attachment that is like the kitchen sink sprayer. I learned to use those in Thailand. I call it the ass-blaster. It isn't powerful enough to completely clean you but it severely reduces the amount of paper you need to use. The mix of water / paper is just so much cleaner. Think about it this way; if someone smeared poo on your arm, you wouldn't just scrape away at it with a dry piece of paper and call it clean.
EDIT: This is the model I bought if anyone is interested. Bio Bidet BB-600. I have friends who bought this same model and are happy with it as well. Toto is the gold-standard if you want to spend a little more. Happy to answer any further question in my quest to proselytize the paper-scrapers of the world and save the Canadian forests.
Honestly unless you're
No amount of scrubbing at your asshole with dry paper is going to get it super clean.
After an hour or so of just moving around/body heat/sweat/etc, anyone who goes down on you WILL get some butt B.O.
People really should plunk down the $35 for a bidet and stop shitting like barbarians.
If you spill salsa on shag carpeting, do you scrub at it with paper towels or do you get some kind of water in the mix?
Fancy toilet. Heated Seat, water spray for front and back, dryer...holy god I would have paid 5x the price (around 500 bucks). So worth it.
Edit: The link to the product we bought. http://www.amazon.com/Brondell-S1000-EW-Advanced-Elongated-Toilet/dp/B0045UB9GK/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1345832488&sr=8-7&keywords=bidet+toilet+seat
For real though, bidets are the truth and seriously neither expensive nor hard to install.
I’m sitting on mine right now after taking a heavenly coffee poop and am reveling in my clean butthole.
If you want to live like a caveman smearing your feces further with an elevated soft paper towel, be my guest though.
Edit: Best wishes, Q. May you grab your nuts at many refs in your next chapter.
Edit 2: here’s a model similar to the one I have:
Luxe Bidet Neo 120 - Self Cleaning Nozzle - Fresh Water Non-Electric Mechanical Bidet Toilet Attachment (blue and white) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00A0RHSJO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_GaF4BbHZXSN67
I may your buttholes ever be clean!
Fucking love my bidet. Cheap and easy to get, and I don't wanna poop anywhere else.
Also you used the wrong comparison operator. That means toilet paper is the best
Edit: for reference people.. What I use is something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Luxe-MB110-Non-Electric-Mechanical-Attachment/dp/B001KKRCFA
Cheap.. Cheaper than the toilet paper you waste, you have a fresh just showered bum. And it really is amazing. Seems like everybody is skeptical at first, including me. I guess in the US were taught that paper makes your ass no longer smell like shit. That isn't the case, can confirm.
Edit 2: btw my SO loves it for after sex, it hits the vagina real good and clean it up then too, if you aim it towards there. So less dripping for hours after sex
A bidet. Seriously, go try one. Changed my life. Bought an attachment soon after for my toilet and now have a squeaky clean bunghole 24/7.
*Here is the one I use, since people were asking for an example.
http://www.amazon.com/Luxe-MB110-Non-Electric-Mechanical-Attachment/dp/B001KKRCFA/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1405628042&sr=8-2&keywords=bidet
Amazon's current bestseller is similar to the one I got, and is going for $25 here.
They are super easy to install and you will never feel cleaner after taking a shit.
Get a bidet, dude.
It changed my life. No ass rashes!
Best purchase ever.
https://smile.amazon.com/Luxe-Bidet-Neo-120-Non-Electric/dp/B00A0RHSJO/ref=sr_1_5?crid=2LU7X2J1I4RCZ&keywords=bidet&qid=1550883328&refinements=p_85%3A2470955011&rnid=2470954011&rps=1&s=gateway&sprefix=bid%2Caps%2C159&sr=8-5
Even if I don't reach the top, I'm helping every single Redditor obtain a clean ass is a 5 minute installation by buying this over 300 person reviewed, 5 star, $53 fucking dollar toilet bidet attachment.
Please upvote for a collective clean-ass Reddit!

edit: sorry, for raw link.
If you can turn a wrench and tape some threads, a bidet will change your life. Never again will you make a thousand smearing wipes that still result in skidmarks. You just pat dry and walk away clean.
The only problem is that you'll never want to poop away from home again.
Get a bidet you animals
Edit: As
susual theuncivilized shit wiperspeople have questions/confusion about bidets. They make bidets that run on electricity for warm water and a fan to dry you after washing your poopy butthole. For those of you willing to try the Cadillac of butt cleaning here is my amazing bidet. For you ballers on a budget I suggest the far cheaper but still adequate bidet. I say with zero hyperbole it will literally change your life for the better.P.S For those of you buying and using "wet wipes" to clean yourself, you are living a dangerous lie that makes the rest of society worse off and doesn't make you as clean as a bidet would.
Without question, a bidet.
https://www.amazon.ca/Luxe-Bidet-Neo-110-Non-Electric/dp/B009ZLRSJ6
It's cheap and easy to install and the guy who converted me to the way of the bidet recommended it to me.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003TPGPUW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Install a bidet. They are $24 on Amazon. Fuck fabric, only use it to dry your clean ass.
Edit: For your health
Here is a mechanical one, you could easily have someone modify the knob to be a lever you could manipulate.
http://www.amazon.com/Luxe-MB110-Non-Electric-Mechanical-Attachment/dp/B001KKRCFA/ref=pd_cp_hi_4
Don't forget the energy costs of manufacture and transportation. It takes 17.3 terawatts of energy to manufacture and transport toilet paper per year. That's a huge carbon footprint.
If you're concerned about the ecological impact of TP, I highly recommend a bidet attachment for your toilet like this:
https://www.amazon.com/Luxe-Bidet-Neo-120-Non-Electric/dp/B00A0RHSJO/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1541959341&sr=8-3&keywords=bidet+attachment+for+toilet&dpID=419LXSZM6YL&preST=_SX300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch
You will use significantly less toilet paper, maybe even eschewing it entirely.
$35 on Amazon and it took me like 20 minutes to install.
To my American brothers and sisters if you got shit on your arm would you wipe it off or clean it with water and wipe it?
I'm a American and I bought a bidet on Amazon after using it at a friends house. In American men want to seem masculine and they wanna seem not "gay". Most American men then see water going up your ass as gay or weird. They also don't understand how it could be cleaner.
I'm a guy who owns a bidet.
Astor Non-Electric Mechanical Bidet Toilet
Buy this for 24 bucks and you'll never go back plus it takes us a year to use a big package of toilet paper now.
Here is the one I got, its powered by water pressure and because of that there is no electricity and they last a really long time. Astor Bidet Fresh Water Spray Non-Electric Mechanical Bidet Toilet Seat Attachment CB-1000 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003TPGPUW/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_rwh8ybK95BNM3
What's your bidget? ;)
I'd highly recommend this one, hooks up to the water supply. Totos are the best but you'll need an electric outlet nearby. This is from Amazon unfortunately, but don't know where to buy this locally. It's great!
Luxe Bidet Neo 180 (Elite Series) - Self Cleaning Dual Nozzle - Fresh Water Non-Electric Mechanical Bidet Toilet Attachment with Strong Faucet Valves and Metal Hoses https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00A0RMQ1E/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_wD52xbYSPD7X4
You can get a simple bidet on amazon that works on water pressure alone for about $30-40 here
Pro tip:
To prevent Poseidon's Kiss, grab a lil handful of toilet paper and lay it in the water (in the "target area"), before you go. Paper gives a nice little "landing pad", if you will, and your butt will stay dry.
Also, I just got a bidet and it's the best fucking thing in the world. America is waaay behind on this. I got this one:
https://www.amazon.com/Luxe-Bidet-Neo-320-Non-Electric/dp/B00A0RX2UI/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=bidet&qid=1565294427&s=grocery&sr=1-5-catcorr
it was easy to install and keeps you feeling sooo clean. Also need to use paper only to dry yourself. That way I don't feel so wasteful to drop a few squares in the potty before I go #2.
^sorry ^for ^the ^tmi!
Luxe Brand:
https://smile.amazon.com/Luxe-Bidet-Neo-120-Non-Electric/dp/B00A0RHSJO/ref=pd_bxgy_201_img_3?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00A0RHSJO&pd_rd_r=7b9644a3-2f08-11e9-910d-c707fb6d7b72&pd_rd_w=A6cuN&pd_rd_wg=sDg4s&pf_rd_p=6725dbd6-9917-451d-beba-16af7874e407&pf_rd_r=PHKRPCWHY4DRZ0P4454D&psc=1&refRID=PHKRPCWHY4DRZ0P4454D
It's like being kissed by an angel after eating cool mint 5gum
Yep, the Neo 320, never look back haha
Luxe Bidet Neo 320 - Self Cleaning Dual Nozzle - Hot and Cold Water Non-Electric Mechanical Bidet Toilet Attachment (blue and white) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00A0RX2UI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_jz2iDb8K9DFPZ
Get a bidet toilet attachment from Amazon. I got one a few months ago and my butthole has never been happier. This is the one I got: http://www.amazon.com/Luxe-Bidet-Neo-185-Non-Electric/dp/B00P2XZDGG
It can attach to almost any toilet and feels refreshing and awesome and you barely need to wipe at all after a good blast.
> <$300
My dude, you can get them For $35 nowadays.
Best $40 I've ever spent.
Look into one of these:
Greenco Bidet Fresh Water Spray Non-Electric Mechanical Bidet Toilet Seat Attachment
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01A17T3N6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_DggjzbN1A7T6E
The one I have is the Luxe 320 which has both nozzles and a hot water connection. Super easy to connect, and because I rent, I just have the plasticky hose coming underneath the door to the under the sink bit.
https://www.amazon.com/Luxe-Bidet-Neo-320-Non-Electric/dp/B00A0RX2UI
Best $50 ever spent
edit* Thanks so much for the gold!!!!
They seem foreign and difficult to use (especially the european/muslim style which is basically just a faucet/hose for manual washing in a separate basin).
But then I spent two weeks in Japan and the Toto Washlet is my new god. It's a bidet done right - anything less is uncivilized. And I think they could become very popular in America, because they're so easy and accessible and added on to existing toilets.)
Also - there are ones with dryers baked in: http://smile.amazon.com/Brondell-S1000-EW-Advanced-Elongated-Toilet/dp/B0045UB9GK/ref=sr_1_20?ie=UTF8&qid=1415205898&sr=8-20&keywords=toto+washlet

This is what I've got. Comes with a T connector to put in line with the toilet water line.
I have one of these. Like 10 minutes to attach it to your toilet and it's smooth sailing!
https://www.amazon.com/Luxe-Bidet-Neo-120-Non-Electric/dp/B00A0RHSJO/ref=sr_1_4?gclid=CjwKCAjwk93rBRBLEiwAcMapUdkYF0lPMT7x8SmGqYoXuAjMaEkpmkX1u1sele4ePNpOaB_SuaBDYhoCQakQAvD_BwE&hvadid=241653825521&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9010019&hvnetw=g&hvpos=1t1&hvqmt=e&hvrand=1359111235532572353&hvtargid=aud-647846986441%3Akwd-16370331&hydadcr=26610_9892136&keywords=bidet&qid=1568143028&s=gateway&sr=8-4
> When I'm at home, I end with a wet wipe, and as such, am sure that I'm clean.
Get a bidet. It's well worth it. The initial cost is a bit much but it won't clog up the pipes (like wet wipes will) and you will save money over time. There are now the bidets you can add on to your already existing toilet.
idk if it's one of the better ones, but this is the one I have, and it works great:
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00A0RMQ1E/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
There's also a cheaper ($35) version that looks to be almost the same (I can't remember now why I got the $50 one):
https://smile.amazon.com/Luxe-Bidet-Neo-120-Non-Electric/dp/B00A0RHSJO?ref_=bl_dp_s_web_5456991011
I actually bought it a few years back after I saw it linked in a random Reddit thread. Definitely the best thing Reddit has done for my life.
Or get a bidet that installs right under your toilet seat.
https://www.amazon.com/Bidet-Neo-185-Non-Electric-Self-Cleaning/dp/B00P2XZDGG/ref=zg_bs_6810564011_4
Yes. One of the attachment ones, not a separate unit.
I have one on each of the toilets in my home. They're only $35 people!
https://www.amazon.com/Luxe-Bidet-Neo-120-Non-Electric/dp/B00A0RHSJO/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1526312435&sr=8-2&keywords=luxe+bidet
They sell the add-on to turn your toilet into one of those at Amazon.com.
EDIT:
http://www.amazon.com/Astor-Non-Electric-Mechanical-Toilet-Attachment/dp/B003TPGPUW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1319984450&sr=8-1
Get a bidet, and use baby wipes; your butthole will thank you.
Edit: This is getting way out of hand, it's near abouts time to fucking stop with the hate filled PM's and idiotic comments. I get it, you are really grossed out by poop. I don't know what I can do to help you other than put you higher on the transplant list for a god damn spine.
I hate all of you.
Get a bidet. Changed my life. https://www.amazon.com/Luxe-Bidet-Neo-120-Non-Electric/dp/B00A0RHSJO/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1536781811&sr=8-3&keywords=bidet
I had the dilemma, after research we went with one with a heated seat and that has a resevior that heats the water up. No need to circulate water. I grabbed it on sale last year for $280. Best purchase ever. We both agree if there was any one tech we had to take with us - it was the bidet. We hate going to the bathroom anywhere but home
https://www.amazon.com/BB-600E-BioBidet-Ultimate-Electric-Elongated/dp/B007HIKQCK/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1494251205&sr=8-7&keywords=bio+bidet
here's one for $27
Before we moved in, I hired a forensic cleaning company to completely clean sanitize the whole house. (Well, except for the basement.) Being able to move into a perfectly clean house where I didn't have to worry about my then-infant daughter touching something nasty was a huge help.
Installing bidets on the toilets in the house was a big hygiene improvement, especially for my daughter.
Epoxy coating the garage floor has saved tons of time in spill cleanups.
Don't use those things regularly, they dry out the skin and make things worse in the long run. Also don't flush them despite the labeling, they don't break up that easily and can clog your plumbing. Speaking from personal experience on both points :|
Instead buy a cheap bidet attachment for your toilet. I have this one and it took about 15 minutes to install.
Live your dream.

Get yourself a bidet. Solves the I've-used-so-much-paper-I'm-bleeding thing.
Here you go You and your asshole are welcome. Its the easiest thing to install and take apart when moving...

36 bucks. Amazon. Changed my life, and i'm a hairy dude. Spray it down, drip dry while reading reddit or use TP to dry it and get anything left and we're done.
Edit: Shit, if money is that tight for you and it'll make that big of a difference in your quality of life, i'll buy the fucking thing for you.

Just goes on under the toilet seat and you hook it up to your water. Pretty simple. This is the one I own and it's fantastic 10/10 clean butt hole.
Buy a bidet attachment for your toilet. Then you can do it while sitting down.
Astor Bidet Fresh Water Spray Non-Electric Mechanical Bidet Toilet Seat Attachment CB-1000 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003TPGPUW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_KzbfAbV3E6H1T
GAME CHANGER
It will absolutely help.
You can wiggle your butt around and get it pretty much everywhere. I don't usually hose down my cheeks, but the whole crevasse can get a thorough scouring.

It'll pay for itself in toilet paper in six months or less, and you'll be able to get by with the shittiest, cheapest, thinnest toilet paper on earth and it won't matter because you're only using it to blot clean water off your tradesman's entrance.
Do it up real nice for some quality poop time. Get a
$40washlet/bidet kit from Amazon, a squatty potty, poo~pourri...hell, spring for some ambient string lights and a little zen water fountain.Happy Black Friday, the Luxe Bidet is $25 today.
This one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003TPGPUW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It attaches to your toilet and taps into the same water line. Took me about 10 minutes to install with no plumbing experience.
Bidets are God's gift to man. The non-electric ones are pretty cheap too.
They are super nice. I just bought a cheep one a year ago and i'm SOOOO glad I did.
But yes, you want TP after you bidet, but just like 2 squares to dry.... But if you dont have any tp, it's just slightly annoying to have a completely clean but slightly damp tush. Annoying vs unlivable.
If you're curious This is the one I suggest. It's $35. I did a lot of research and this one is well reviewed for the price. Installation is about 10 min, you have to unscrew the hose for the toilet, screw it back on, then take of the toilet seat, and put it back on. $35 is throw away money for most people. And you'll save loads on TP so it'll pay for it's self easy. And of course if you ever get the burning shits, you'll be blessing my name.
Seriously, just do it.
Or just get a bidet that goes on a toilet for $25 instead of wasting money on baby wipes
https://smile.amazon.com/Greenco-Non-Electric-Mechanical-Toilet-Attachment/dp/B01A17T3N6/ref=sr_1_9?s=kitchen-bath&ie=UTF8&qid=1518788750&sr=1-9&keywords=bidet
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01A17T3N6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_yJnUDbSH0BM00
Is really a simple device. It just uses existing pressure from your toilet's filler pipe and sends it up your ass
They rock. I just installed this in my home and I love it:
http://amzn.com/B00JG3NVG2
I'm an American, and I always thought it was some weird foreign thing. Then I visited Japan and used one for the first time. AMAZING. Now I hate it when one's not available. So I just purchased two of those bad boys for my home. Amazingly clean every time, just use a couple of sheets of TP to dry off and you're on your way.
Seriously, get one. You'll wonder why it took you so long to convert. There are cheaper models by that same brand, also highly rated. I just wanted all the bells and whistles (hot+cold, retractable, self-cleaning, etc).
EDIT: It will also pay for itself pretty quickly when you consider how much less TP and baby wipes you'll need. I've had these for about a month, and my TP usage has gone down to about 1/4th what it was.
The friends who were with me on vacation when it happened quickly ordered a bidet so none of us had to deal with becoming much better friends than we ever wanted to.
> bidet - freaking expensive
?????
https://www.amazon.com/Brondell-Bidet-SimpleSpa-Non-Electric-Attachment/dp/B075MMHQX7/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=bidet&qid=1564930886&s=gateway&sr=8-4
It is far cheaper to just get a bidet than using toilet paper alone, or toilet paper in conjunction with wet wipes. I did the math.
Skip all of that baby wipes nonsense and join the bidet masterrace. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00A0RHSJO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The $30 luxe bidet on amazon is perfectly fine and will improve your pooping life significantly (I feel dirty when I poop outside of my home now). You will use significantly less toilet paper and generally feel cleaner (you still need some toilet paper, but never more than one wipe for residuals and wiping up the water you just squirted all over your butthole).
It's exactly like a super soaker shooting your pincher, and you can adjust the pressure, max pressure almost hurts but next time you're 'wiping the marker' think about how nice it would be to just hose it down and be done with it.
Try a bidet attachment for your existing toilet.
example.
No dude wipe fatbergs. No blowout. I don't remember the last time I had to buy toilet paper.
Things to discuss:
Get a bidet!
Luxe Bidet Neo 120 - Self Cleaning Nozzle - Fresh Water Non-Electric Mechanical Bidet Toilet Attachment (blue and white) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00A0RHSJO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_hzPcBb5V6VRBK
You can get pricier ones that will heat the water. Like this one, will heat the water, has a seat warmer and and warm air dryer. So basically you could be in a tundra, but your ass will be in a warm tropical oasis.
The cheaper models will just connect to your regular water line (either both the hot and cold line or just the cold) so you'd be SOL. But wouldn't a spray of freezing water up your ol' bumhole be just the pick me up you need to get you going in the morning?
You can add a bidet without permanently changing the toilet. And for only $25 on Amazon
Everyone on this subreddit, go on Amazon and get yourselves a bidet! Less than $30 to access that cooling booty relief, it’s also a major toilet paper money saver. This is the one I have, godspeed y’alls’ buttholes.
Bidet is under $30. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B003TPGPUW/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1419025895&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX200_QL40
Nah man. THIS is a relief.
It's not hard to install a toilet seat bidet! There's lots of simple ones that just have an extension from the pipe that feeds the toilet flush tank
https://www.amazon.ca/Luxe-Bidet-Neo-110-Non-Electric/dp/B009ZLRSJ6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1484745371&sr=8-1&keywords=toilet%2Bseat%2Bbidet&th=1
You can also get ones that attach to your hot water from the sink so you get a warm spray.
I haven't gotten quite that desperate yet, but I may eventually try out one of the portable models they have on Amazon: http://amzn.com/B008CSDKSQ.
Edit: To follow-up on your comment about how Americans can live without it, it's mostly a matter of ignorance. Nobody here seems to know that there's a better way. Once someone tries it though, they can rarely ever go back.
Consider a bidet. I got an inexpensive (~$45) bidet that bolts onto the toilet, never looked back, (heheh, get it?)
Everyone should have a bidet in their home. They're not all that expensive either unless you go with a high end Japanese model. I think I spent $25 on mine which has lasted 5 years so far, and is the best quick fix for summer swamp ass.
Edit: added amazon link to the bidet I have
Yep. I really hope they catch on -- literally everyone I know who has tried it has loved it.
I've tried wetting toilet paper when I'm traveling, but it's just nowhere near the same. HOLY SHIT I was just typing "maybe I should come up with some sort of travel bidet," and did a quick google.
It is a thing and it may change my life.
I got a bidet. Changed my life, no exaggeration. Wipe first for the big stuff, then use bidet fully, then wipe again one time to get the water off. My toilet paper usage is way down, and my butthole is never agitated and sore.
I also take soluble fiber pills to make it be normal coming out. It's no big deal to me like it is to you. Taking 3-6 of them a day is way easier than trying to incorporate some traditional food into my diet. The fact that it's soluble is fine. There is a definite difference in the solidness due to the fiber pills.
Edit: added a link to the bidet I got.
OMG, only $35, though I recommend the $48 upgrade if you're a lady.
The hype is all true, IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE
You think you are, but you’re not quite ready... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00A0RX2UI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_e4jDCbW4RMFSF
I'd be weirded out if bidets suddenly exploded, but not if it was in popularity. I have one of these at home and it's awesome...makes me hate traveling though, a few days away from that and you really start to miss it.
try this bidet feels better than wiping anyway and gets you way more clean plus this model has hot water hookup for those cold mornings
We bought the Toto C100, but I hear people also like the C200 (which has a couple of more features we didn't care about and a separate remote control that's not built into the console).
You don't need a complicated, pricey "Washlet".

Like $50, work great. No power needed. It's not that big of a deal to be unheated in the winter usually, not unless the plumbing runs on an exterior wall.
I bought this and I'm not ashamed. Well, maybe a bit because it's girly light-purple... My reasoning is that it seems like America is the only country really repulsed by the idea, but it solves the cleanliness and any monkeybutt/smell issues, and weighs about the same as a half roll of TP. It's waterproof and reusable, can be sorta crushed, works in any weather (summer or winter), and is a one-time-cost... no resupply.
Backcountry bidet, but only for camping where there's no toilets. No TP garbage and cleans your nether regions really well! I have the Brondell GoSpa
Just buy a bidet
http://www.amazon.com/Astor-Non-Electric-Mechanical-Attachment-CB-1000/dp/B003TPGPUW
They all kind of work the same, but this is the one I have. It is placed under the back of the seat and attaches to the fresh water supply coming out of the wall. It's amazing.
Astor Bidet Fresh Water Spray Non-Electric Mechanical Bidet Toilet Seat Attachment CB-1000 is only $27. I am sorry this happened to you though, it sounds wretched. Also 'clitty litter' is hilarious!
I have four of these in my house. No plumbing experience necessary and they hook into the existing toilet supply without getting additional hookups for hot water or electric.
https://www.amazon.com/Luxe-Bidet-Neo-120-Non-Electric/dp/B00A0RHSJO
I love these and so do most guests that try them out.
Not entirely necessary before you move in, but installing a bidet is fairly easy, and once you start using it, you will never want to poop anywhere else. I'd recommend something along the lines of this:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00A0RHSJO/ref=mp_s_a_1_1
Or, if warm water is something you want, upgrading to the 320 model isn't that much more.
Close, California. Bidet made in China.

I actually did a review of it after the company sent me a 2nd one (to review) but fuck if I can find it amongst the other 678 reviews.
Attachable bidets are a good alternative.
nice ad, but if you want a nice bidet, you don't need to spend $69 on one. i've used this one for years and it's absolutely perfect.
You might be surprised.
For something like 40 bucks off amazon you can put a perfectly acceptable one in your toilet.
http://www.amazon.com/Luxe-MB110-Non-Electric-Mechanical-Attachment/dp/B001KKRCFA/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1367962210&sr=8-3&keywords=bidet
This one works perfectly. Attaches to the supply hose behind the toilet (low-flow). no more nasty ass, and it pays for itself in $0 toilet paper bills very quickly.
Bought this bidet attachment 3 years ago and it’s the best $25 I’ve spent
I bought this one about two month ago and it’s a game changer. Took about 15 minutes to install and I’m not even a very handy guy.
Exactly!!! thats why I got this bad boy!
http://www.amazon.com/Luxe-MB110-Non-Electric-Mechanical-Attachment/dp/B001KKRCFA/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1377204739&sr=8-2&keywords=bidet
not that expensive to retrofit.
Personally, I don't like using public drinking fountains because the nozzles are a bacterial dreamland. I imagine the spray heads on a bidet are even worse.
> I rent a flat and there's no space to put any sort of bidet.
Washlets are seats or seat attachments.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Washlet
A cheap one (with installation video in the gallery):
http://www.amazon.com/Luxe-Bidet-Neo-110-Non-Electric/dp/B009ZLRSJ6/
If your toilet's water supply is as easily reachable as it is in the video, installing one of these should be fairly easy.
You need a bidet attachment.
$35 an Amazon for a Luxe Bidet Neo 120. I bought three of these (actually two of the 180s, and one 185), one for each bathroom and couldn't be happier. The higher models offer dual sprayers (one sprays further forward), and different controls. Taps into the clean water line going to the tank so it is super easy to install. I recommend 1000%.
Dude don't wait to redo the bathroom, get a bidet attachment for your existing toilet.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00A0RHSJO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_hCQ2DbJT4BGK7
Oh you fancy! Mine doesn’t have an air dryer, but that would’ve been very convenient for a pregnant lady!
Smart bidet for the bathroom. Once you've been to Japan, you're gonna
wantneed this in your home. We got a cheap one for just over $200 and it works really well. Also, the seat is heated... mmmm!
$60, they have some cheaper models but I highly recommend the one with hot water attachment, it's only $10 or 15 more and so worth it. Also the one like this with the lever water adjust instead of dial, it's better at adjusting pressure.
I have this one in both our toilets:
Luxe Bidet Neo 320 - Self Cleaning Dual Nozzle - Hot and Cold Water Non-Electric Mechanical Bidet Toilet Attachment (blue and white) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00A0RX2UI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_6T03BbKZX2T17
Seriously...get a Bidet It's a super easy install (you have to be not totally retarded, but it takes like 15 minutes) and you will find that you go from using too much TP to a roll lasting you forever.
It's like the difference between living alone and living with your girlfriend...but all over again. It's amazing, and if you can convince the GF to use the bidet too...you'll reduce your TP usage to only ~12 times what you used when you lived alone instead of 250 times what you used when you lived alone.
Think of it like this...if you got shit all over your hand...would you just wipe it on some dry paper towel and call it a day, or would you wash that shit off? Why are you treating your ass differently?
You can buy an attachment for your toilet for under $50.
I'm proud to say I haven't wiped my ass in months!
[Astor Bidet Fresh Water Spray Non-Electric Mechanical Bidet Toilet Seat Attachment CB-1000] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003TPGPUW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_ws4oxb6P4YQQE)

It's basically a jet of cold water that's aimed at your asshole. I've owned this exact one for just over a year now, and it's legitimately one of the top 10 purchases of my entire life. That's not even an exaggeration. It has a dial that lets you adjust the pressure of the water, so that you don't accidentally give yourself an enema. The nozzle is already angled so that the water hits the right target. Seriously, buy one. It'll change your life.
We installed this bidet from amazon in every bathroom. It’s under $40 US and easy to install. I’m thinking of upgrading to a Toto washlet in our master bath. Visited Japan and the warm seat and water is nice.
You're about to owe me a huge favor. The best thing I have purchased in the last 5 years is this (I bought a house last year and that doesn't compare with net happiness vs cost) :
http://www.amazon.com/Luxe-Bidet-Neo-120-Non-Electric/dp/B00A0RHSJO/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1420580324&sr=8-5&keywords=bidet
This $50 thing CHANGED MY LIFE. It is AMAZING. It's a "shitty" conversation to have with your GF. It's like 5 minutes of awkwardness for a lifetime of a clean bottom. No wiping, almost no toilet paper, no remnants, it's faster, it's healthier.
If this is something you're really concerned about, you could invest in a very affordable bidet seat for your toilet
This will spray and help clean your ass a lot more than using TP. These are very common in Asia and formal bidets are found throughout Europe. Feels good, cleans good!
bidets are $35 on amazon, and they attach directly onto your toilet in a roughtly 5-minute installation. No idea what you mean when you're saying "there's no space really". If there's space for your ass-cheeks, there's space for a bidet.
Every time someone brings up bidets on reddit, I always see some sort of disclaimer that could turn people off or confuse people about them (e.g. the water is too cold, they're too expensive, etc.)
The fact of the matter is that they're $35 on Amazon (here's the one I have), incredibly easy to install, shoot out room-temperature water, save you long-term on TP costs, etc. I have no idea why every house doesn't have one these days.
If you want warn water.

Up it to $40 and get a bidet. This one should fit the bill.
I just want to hijack this comment to let everyone in here who feels like they are too poor for a bidet, that this one on Amazon is amazing...
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00A0RX2UI/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
You're BH will thank you
Bidets! I have this one and it is one of my best purchases of all time. Now I hate pooping anywhere but home.
There are other kinds too. When I was visiting Portugal they often had these bidets that were kind of a mix of a toilet and a sink, and I think you were supposed to run the water and wipe off with your hand... I never used it, but eventually the concept won me over.
Edit: amazon link if you're interested.
You don't need the stand-alone separate installation. This one is like $25, I've had it for 2 years and have never had a single issue.
Get a bidet. They're remarkably inexpensive and save you thousands in tissue paper. If you think "Oh it'll be weird splashing my ass with water, though," think about this... if you got shit anywhere else, would you be comfortable with just wiping it dry? Or would you insist on water and maybe even soap?
Get a bidet. They aren't expensive and they will save you so much time. Seriously, it's the best life choice you'll ever make.
https://www.amazon.com/Luxe-Bidet-Neo-120-Non-Electric/dp/B00A0RHSJO/ref=sr_1_4?s=kitchen-bath&ie=UTF8&qid=1498093189&sr=1-4&keywords=bidet
I get my toilet paper from Amazon as well, but I also got a $25 bidet from Amazon and it has been life changing. You will never ever ever regret it. My husband was a hard sell in trying it, now he won't poop anywhere but at home lol he feels disgusting without it. Took less than 10 minutes to install and only needed a Philips head screwdriver.
Basic $25 bidet
Slightly nicer one for $35
Only peasants use toilet paper, nobles use bidet. Be one of us OP.
I bought a bidet a short while ago and its one of the top life investments, ever. I think this one is very adequate and less expensive. Amazing life upgrade. http://www.amazon.com/Luxe-MB110-Non-Electric-Mechanical-Attachment/dp/B001KKRCFA/ref=pd_cp_hi_2
The Japanese have perfected the art of after-poop cleaning with the Toto Washlet. But if you don't want to spend tons of money on that you can have the same cleaning power with out the heated seat for $24 on Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001KKRCFA
We have these non-electric bidets attached to our toilets.
Here is a link: http://smile.amazon.com/Astor-Non-Electric-Mechanical-Attachment-CB-1000/dp/B003TPGPUW/ref=sr_1_1?s=kitchen-bath&ie=UTF8&qid=1458580618&sr=1-1&keywords=bidet
They are much nicer to use specially for the heavily constipated pregnant women like me :-) The water is not heated, but I am used to it now.
Or you can go super cheap and get one that doesn't require electricity but shoots ambient temperature water.
Astor Bidet Fresh Water Spray Non-Electric Mechanical Bidet Toilet Seat Attachment CB-1000 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003TPGPUW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_h0IbBbT6ZMWN5
Edit: link that has 6.6k reviews instead of 60.
Do even more: Get yourself a bidet. Simple or fancy or something in between. It'll save the tush. Also, if you eat lightly the day before you start the cleanse, the whole thing goes easier. It's a lot of fuss over nothing and you get to avoid this type of cancer, at least.
Or one easy payment of $36.27 and free two day shipping with Amazon Prime.
This $27 investment has saved me at least that in TP costs. 1 wipe every time, cleaner butthole, and only took 15 minutes to install. Why doesn't everyone have one?

Even better
Seriously, buy clorox wipes and go on a spree getting all the knobs, handles, faucets, electonics, etc.
Then buy some baby wipes and introduce your roommate to the wonderful world of wiping. You could even buy a cheap and easy to install bidet attachment for him.

Yo I'm gonna be honest with you... I went to the local pub last night and ate a mountain of Nachos while watching the NCAA Finals. I'm mildly lactose intolerant. I've taken three painful dumps so far today and my butthole has taken quite the beating. Nonetheless, I still highly recommend everyone buy a bidet. The Europeans know what's up. Here's the one I bought off Amazon over 5 years ago. Still as good as new. Only $35 bucks with free Prime 1 day shipping. At those prices you can't afford NOT to buy one. If they had these installed at my work's bathroom, I wouldn't be in this mess. At the very least, they could install the three seashells. It's 2017. Stop wiping with paper, you savages.

I can't say enough positive things about it. I don't know how I lived without it so long. The kids might play with it but that seems easily correctable and worth the headache

Yes! Americans are especially unversed in the use of bidets as they aren't really a thing in the States. After experiencing them in Europe, I had to have one at home. And you can find them for so cheap! We installed this one ourselves and it can hook up to the warm water line
I love my bidet attachment! It's ruined regular toilets for me.
I'd let them know it's leaking and ask if they would please replace it. If they do, yay! If they take it away and don't replace it you can buy and install one yourself. No special skills or tools should be required; just follow the instructions. Then you can take it with you when you leave.
Looks like this one which we have, although the warm water line isn't hooked up. Totally worth it though! This one also has a "female" setting for those gnarly period days. That said, even if you don't get one with warm water hookup (we couldn't hook up the hot line) you'll rarely feel the coldness of the water on your butt hole. Only drawback is feeling like a heathen if you poop anywhere that doesn't have a bidet lmao
House is usually around 68-70 degrees during winter, so it's really not bad at all.
If that's really your concern you can also get a heated bidet.
you guys need to get the "Attachable Bidet" for your toilets....works like a dream....i have something similar to the link below

Or just buy a bidet. No more need to pollute the environment by cutting down trees to wipe your ass and it may be semi-expensive at first ($35 for one off Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00A0RHSJO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_t4-vzbC9Z4V0Z ) but in the long run, you will save money.
No.

This one. No fancy heat or drying, but great pressure that you can adjust.
This is the one I bought.
No, they sell Bidet hoses you hook up to your waterline going into your toilet and they sit on the outside of the toilet.
Something like this.
Bought this guy for $30. If/when it breaks, we buy another. It gets the job done!

You are all disgusting to me. Behold, the 25 dollar bidet:

I hate the wet wipes thing too. I'm super happy to see another travel bidet user here. IMO, it's the best way to keep yourself clean out on the trail.
I use a different one than you do, and it weighs in at 65 grams. I can either use a sheet or two of TP afterwards to dry off, or simply pull up my merino boxers and let the water disperse into them - they're usually dry within a few minutes.
Brondell Travel Bidet on Amazon
Was in Japan over a year ago, and my butt fell in love with the bidet toilet seats. When I returned home, I bought an Izen 5. Great. Before the Izen arrived, and for traveling, I use this. Much rather have the warm water from this, compared to an icy squirt.
After using this combo, the direction of my butt crack is changing...it's becoming a smile. (Hope I didn't offend.)
You motherfuckers need a bidet.
Have not tried this toilet add on bidet but some people swear by these. Forty dollar experiment.

It’s not the heated stream, noise cancellation, scented mist experience of a Toto in Japan, but it’s an easy step up from a bucket.
This is why I have a bidet. Amazon has cheap ones you can just add to your toilet without having to change the seat or anything, it just hooks up to the same water your toilet fills up with. I also hide the toilet paper when I have clients over, so they have to use it.
Also, as u/littlelove93 said:

a bidet could change your life, friend.
Boi, they cost like $30 on Amazon. I have this one and fr, I'm never going back to just toilet paper ever again
I've heard good things about this.
For those that are interested, there are actually very cheap modifications that you can install on an existing toilet rather than replacing it with an expensive bidet.
About 6 months ago I read an article on reddit about how great there were and got interested, and bought this one on impulse for $35: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001KKRCFA/ (I think there's a newer version in the same price range, so look around a bit before you buy.)
It just uses your normal water supply and the water where I live is from a well so it is ice cold in the winter. It took a little getting used to, but seriously I have to say that I love the thing. I would hate to go back to a normal toilet. It also vastly reduces the amount of tissue paper you use, so from an environmental standpoint that is pretty good.
^(Not exactly sure this is TrueReddit material, but since I have an opinion...)
No, what i mean is different. There are toilets with a lot of weird functions (like playing music and other obscure stuff) and one of those being spraying or squirting water. But a bidet works too i guess.
Edit: Something like this but more andvanced and already built into the toilet
Edit 2: Found a thing
30 bucks from amazon and no need to tear out his toilet.
It has changed my world of pooping.
What? I bought a bidet for $25 off Amazon and installed it in 15 minutes.
This is the one I bought. it uses the same water line as the toilet and it just hooks up to it.
I'm in the US too. I bought a cheap one online. I made some wipes to dry myself from some old towels sewn to a nylon backing. I'd do it again in a heartbeat and asked for enough to convert my other toilets for Christmas.
I bought one of these. It will change your life!!

I just bought this recently.... Shit you not. Well worth the buy! Easy to control the water flow and afterward the TP is just to dry. I spent a bit extra on mine so it could have a feature for the ladies as well.

I use TP as a test to see if I got it all, but it's very rare that I don't. Maybe it just depends on the bidet. I use this cheap-ass attachment for 30 bucks. Works like a charm. Nowadays it takes me over a month to go through a roll of paper.
Of course! There are a view inexpensive and promising ones. I chose this . Not exactly dirt cheap, but cheap compared to its similarly highly-rated competitors. There are cheaper ones out there.
We honestly talked about them and found the idea to be a good one, I just didn’t think he’d commit to the idea. Now he has to try it! I’ll keep the sub updated 😆
Happy early birthday wishes to your husband!!!
https://www.amazon.com/Luxe-Bidet-Neo-120-Non-Electric/dp/B00A0RHSJO I got this one. It's got a pretty intense spray, so I had to also get a valve thingy to control it better so I didn't give myself an enema every poop, but I like it now lol.
I got this one for christmas and it’s been great! That said I cannot comprehend how anyone can turn the dial past like 2, maybe 3, let alone all the way, without giving themselves an enema...
You could always install a bidet onto your toilet.
They’re really easy to use and involve no waste.
You can check out one here
Not quite 20, but have 2 of these. Work great, wife and I both love it, going into year 3.

pls be saef
You gotta get the angle right and then it gets 95%+ of it. A little bit of TP to dry off and clean up any remainder.
The first few times I got water EVERYWHERE, but it's pretty contained now that I know what to do (keep everything low while wiggling around a little to get the right angle and coverage)
This is the one I got. No fancy features and I thought I'd HATE the cold, but I don't mind it at all. Having a clean feature might be nice, but so far haven't seen a need for it.
seriously... they even make ones that sit in the toilet http://www.amazon.com/Luxe-MB110-Non-Electric-Mechanical-Attachment/dp/B001KKRCFA/ref=lp_686953011_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1369314045&sr=1-1
We've bought two for our house and three for relatives as well as talking a friend into buying one. If you can just get people to try them, there's no contest. This is the one we've been buying. It's cheap, easy to install, and effective. If you need some ammo for convincing people:
https://i.imgur.com/PEOfvH0.jpg
This post inspired me to buy one. This baby comes in on Friday. Viva la revolución.
Your solution lies not in which consumables to buy, but rather in reducing your requirement for them. In the case of toilet paper, install a modular bidet system on your toilet. After you've relieved yourself, activate the water spray. After that, the job of toilet paper is to dry your already-clean arse. The bidet will pay for itself in terms of reduced consumption of toilet paper. Mine has paid for itself many times over.
I was inspired to try it after reading about it in these posts:
>http://www.reddit.com/r/funny/comments/1c7dmy/poop_marker_the_bane_of_my_existence/c9du6ot
They were right.
Try flushable wet wipes. Your life will never be the same.
Also bidet attachments that you can put on top of your toilet.
Y'all are welcome.
Yes! Total game changer. I have this one and it has served me well for 2 years! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003TPGPUW/
I would seriously use like half a roll of toilet paper before I got a bidet. Ridiculous. Sometimes I find that once I spray off my butt it paves the way for more to come out which I think was my problem. 😂
I also have a squatty potty because I take pooping very seriously. 💩
For the best $30 you will ever spend, you can have that feeling every morning.
Lol. The toilet attachment. Amazon sells them for like $25-$50 dollars. Here is the one I have. Works wonders: Luxe Bidet MB110 Fresh Water Spray Non-Electric Mechanical Bidet Toilet Seat Attachment https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001KKRCFA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_sUOMxbB6MB71X
Super fancy expensive ones do. There are cheaper options out there that don't.
I use this one
https://www.amazon.com/Astor-Non-Electric-Mechanical-Attachment-CB-1000/dp/B003TPGPUW
and it's totally adequate. It's been a great value for $25. It has plenty of pressure range and even in winter it's not too cold.
It doesn't require electricity and it connects right on to the existing plumbing with no specialized knowledge of plumbing.
This will change your life: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003TPGPUW/ref=cm_sw_r_api_7axDxbCK08687
Bidet is the way to go! A few years ago this one was recommended somewhere on reddit, I bought it and love it (as a mom to a crohnie).
I have an older Consumer Reports on toilet tissue, I don't like Scott 1000 or Angel Soft (or Costco's version of it). I settled on Target's Premium Ultra Soft (or Ultra Strong, I couldn't really tell a difference) that was listed on my report as in the top 5 for dissolving/fewer clogs.
Finally, we also updated our (25 year old) toilets to American Standard Cadet 3 FloWise Tall Height 2-Piece 1.28 GPF Single Flush and haven't had a single clog yet in three years.
$27 with Prime.
In the US, you can pick up one fairly cheap at Amazon.
My family made fun of me when I bought it. They said that is GROSS!
A month later, it is the most used toilet in the house.
Your asshole will thank you: http://www.amazon.com/Astor-Non-Electric-Mechanical-Attachment-CB-1000/dp/B003TPGPUW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1418861878&sr=8-1&keywords=bidet
You can order one from amazon for $25.
Yes sir lol.

On sale, too. Took maybe 45 minutes to hook up and that was mostly me looking for a good adjustable wrench
sure
I live in a non-bidet country as well. Been using one of these.
www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00A0RMQ1E/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1502903378&sr=8-6&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=luxe+bidet&dpPl=1&dpID=41mIYFMfD0L&ref=plSrch
It's great.
Honestly people still just don't know what a modern bidet is, they still think its a separate unit entirely like the little sink
I try to explain to people that its $40 on amazon, installs in minutes with no tools, and lives right under your toilet seat. It makes you shower fresh after every poop and you end up saving money over time with the reduced TP/Wet Wipe consumption. It's completely hands free.
I evangelize about bidets like a 1920s automobile owner talking to his horse & buggy neighbor. Ya'll in the past doing it wrong.
What other mess do you NOT bring water into play to clean up?? Especially shit? You can wipe for days but you're never as clean as a constant adjustable stream of water can get you.
Basic model
Hot Water model
[This] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00A0RX2UI/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1497200985&sr=8-5&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=bidet&dpPl=1&dpID=41KyuEGg5FL&ref=plSrch) is the one I have. "Quick and easy installation" is riggory and buffoonery because it took me all day and like 3 trips to Lowe's (although admittedly I was getting drunk while doing it) but it was so worth it.
Luxe Bidet Neo 120 - Self Cleaning Nozzle - Fresh Water Non-Electric Mechanical Bidet Toilet Attachment (white and white) https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00JG2DETM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_gh8Yzb71WGN90
It was more than $30 though apparently.
You don't need to win the lottery to have a bidet. I got one of these for $40 a couple years ago and my life his improved significantly. You're living like a peasant cleaning your ass with paper.
This is the one we have. We love it!
ETA looks like it’s increased in price since we got it (it was just over $50 when we got it) but I’d buy it 10x over
I bought this bidet for my mom and soon bought it for myself after it was mom approved. (She was my beta tester.)
It's awesome, I used to go through a whole roll of toilet paper and have to buy the big ass pack of toilet paper from Costco like once every one or two months. Now it takes me forever to even go through one roll.
It has a function for men and women, and if you have hot water attachment, you can buy the upgraded model which has the hoses and stuff for it too.
This one is the best one imo with no hot water (since I dont have that) Luxe Bidet Neo 185 Elite Series... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00P2XZDGG?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Bidets are not a new thing, but once I got back from Asia I missed them so much. Shitting with paper only and no water to clean your ass is barbaric.
No need to wait. I've got bidets in both my bathrooms and will never go back. You can get attachments that go on your existing toilet and require no real plumbing work for pretty cheap. Example
I've been using this one for years without problems, highly recommend.

Yo, get that man a bidet. Seriously.
https://www.amazon.com/Greenco-Non-Electric-Mechanical-Toilet-Attachment/dp/B01A17T3N6/ref=sr_1_6?keywords=bidet&qid=1555508984&s=gateway&sr=8-6
It's a life changer.
Or buy a bidet and never worry about bleeding from your poo-hole again.
This. You don’t need to talk to your landlord about it at all. It’s not the same as painting or putting holes in the wall, which are permanent changes the landlord has to fix after you leave. Those bidet attachments are easily installed and removable, so the landlord will never know.
Also, ditch the restaurant plan. Unless you are backed by investors, own a patent to bidet, and include installation, no one is going to take you seriously. A much cheaper and more convenient option would be to get a travel bidet bottle like this one from Amazon. You can take it with you wherever you go.
Also, an all liquid diet will still make you poop but it will be diarrhea unless you find a way to get sufficient fiber. Unfortunately I am speaking from experience! So ditch that plan as well.
I would ditch the wet wipes altogether. Even if they are unscented, they still contain detergents and other things that might be upsetting your skin. (For example, this is how I found out I am allergic to aloe vera.) Start using a bidet to clean your backside instead. If you don’t want to install a bidet onto your toilet, get a travel bidet. Cheap and easy to use.
Okay well have I got a surprise for you!
THIS IS THE ACTUAL THING YOU NEVER KNEW YOU NEEDED
Once you have it you will wonder why and how you lived so long without one.
I have one of those and one of these also.
I think these do a better job of shotgunning your chocolate starfish while the Luxe is better at 'DEEP' cleaning in there. I trade off which toilet I use in my house depending on how it's feeling before coming out.
https://www.amazon.com/Luxe-Bidet-Neo-120-Non-Electric/dp/B00A0RHSJO/ref=pd_bxgy_201_img_3?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00A0RHSJO&pd_rd_r=7b9644a3-2f08-11e9-910d-c707fb6d7b72&pd_rd_w=A6cuN&pd_rd_wg=sDg4s&pf_rd_p=6725dbd6-9917-451d-beba-16af7874e407&pf_rd_r=PHKRPCWHY4DRZ0P4454D&psc=1&refRID=PHKRPCWHY4DRZ0P4454D&pldnSite=1
I personally use this one and it's great
It is life changing, seriously. Never bad time to poop, not even after a shower, seat nice and warm (it can just be barely warm or toasty), butt nice and clean afterwards. Toilet paper usage drops dramatically, since you're just using a sheet or two to check and maybe dry off a few drops of water, so eventually this may even pay for itself. You can get one at Amazon, and this is some of the best few hundred dollars you can spend - http://www.amazon.com/BB-600-Ultimate-Advanced-Toilet-Elongated/dp/B007HIKQCK. OK, one thing that sucks - there's no app to update the firmware in it - what is this, 2010?
Amazon, where else?
I have one of these. It's a lifesaver for camping. You could most likely use non-potable water without ill effect.
Other options include scrap paper and reusable rags (boil them).
Along the same line, a watering pail (like what you use to water plants). Pour it down your crack for a cheap bidet effect
Edit: These are the cheapest I could find.
This is the one I have. You can buy one that has a hook up for hot water as well but my tap water isn't cold for whatever reason so it doesn't bother me to just have a cold water line. It uses the water that would eventually run to the tank. It's basically like using the water from your sink line--I know a lot of people think that its uses "toilet bowl" water but it doesn't. It's really easy to install. I actually have reinstalled it on a different toilet in my house and it worked on both. You do have to buy little spacers to attach to the bottom of your toilet seat since the bidet attachment makes the back of the seat sit a bit higher than the front. Again, they're really easy to install/uninstall. Definitely get the ones that screw on so they don't fall off one day into the toilet.
To use you just stay seated and SLOWLY turn on the knob. The one I have linked has SUPER HIGH water pressure but maybe there are models that aren't so strong. Do NOT turn it on while you're standing in front of it "just to make sure it works". I shot myself in the chest the first time I tested it hahahaha. Lots of guests also get curious and turn it on while standing in front of the toilet instead of sitting and end up getting shot in the chest or face. It's hilarious. My father in law for shot in the forehead with the water!
All in all its a 45$ investment if you use the same set up I did--definitely worth the money and if you can always upgrade to a different model if you end up liking it!
There are handheld type options that look like a shower head but they require maneuvering on the toilet and seem like more trouble than just staying seated.
I tried moist wipes for a while but a lot of them have alcohol in them and seemed to dry out more than they helped.
Sorry for the long winded response, hope it was helpful!
$35 bidet and joy can be yours.
You gotta buy one of these
This is the one we got:
https://www.amazon.com/Luxe-Bidet-Neo-120-Non-Electric/dp/B00A0RHSJO
You can install yourself - super quick and easy

I mean....... I ain't rich but my butthole feels like a million dollars!
i got a bidet attachment from amazon about a year ago, and it has been the best $30 i've spent. this one is super easy to install and very affordable:
https://www.amazon.com/Luxe-Bidet-Neo-120-Non-Electric/dp/B00A0RHSJO/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=bidet&qid=1556635315&s=gateway&sr=8-3
This is what they're talking about https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00A0RHSJO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_k1p8AbPW6BASR
For the longest time, I used wet wipes. They get expensive over time.
I bought one of these, spent 20 minutes installing it. Haven't looked back since.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00A0RHSJO/ref=oh_details_o09_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
That's the one I have.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned using a bidet instead. This way there is no risk of clogging wastewater pipes.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00A0RMQ1E
Many of them hook into the cold/hot water pipe from your sink. So if the toilet is next to the sink in the bathroom, you install a T and that's where it gets the water.
Some are cold water only, some take both and mix it. Most come with a "clean" function, for cleaning the nozzle. If you do that first while you're sitting there, it'll bring that warm water into the bidet so you don't get blasted with ice cold water.
https://www.amazon.com/Luxe-Bidet-Neo-320-Non-Electric/dp/B00A0RX2UI/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1551198995&sr=8-8&keywords=bidet
You could just get one that has both hot and cold water. The only difference is that the hot water is tee'd off the sink's hot water line. The hot and cold models usually comes with all the hardware you need (extra long tube to reach the faucet and a tee for typical faucet connections).
I have this one: https://www.amazon.com/Luxe-Bidet-Neo-320-Non-Electric/dp/B00A0RX2UI
There are fairly inexpensive models that have a hot water supply line as well. It isn't difficult to install. How much TP can you get for $68?
I don't have lady bits, so, I can't really give honest input on that.

I got this cause it has the feminine nozzle but you could get the same results with the 120 version and just lean forward a bit more !
If you get it make sure your water supply line to your toilet is one of the flexible hoses not the firm metal pipe. I had to make a trip to home depot to get a flexible one.
Toilet paper? What's that?
I've had a constantly immaculate butthole without a hint of soreness for nearly 2 years, ever since I got my bidet (the linked one just happens to be the one I got, but there are countless others in that price range on Amazon).
Seriously, even during a flare when I'm shitting 10-15 times a day, my butt feels pretty damn good in between all the crimson and mocha explosions.
Sorta lied; I actually still use paper, but only to pat my butt dry after washing it with the bidet. I use the Cottonelle aloe/Vitamin E infused stuff and I go through about one roll every two weeks when I'm not flaring.
Just get a bidet add-on, like this. Baby wipes are nice, but they're a lot more expensive than regular toilet paper, and the bidet is something you'll only pay for once. Also, I like knowing that my asshole is clean enough to eat off of. Just take my word for it.
Get a bidet attachment instead. It will quickly pay for itself in saved toilet paper and be much more forgiving to your septic tank.

I have the Astor 1000 and it works great. Just a simple attachment to your toilet seat. Comes with a stainless steel braided line too. No heaters or other bells and whistles to break, just a plain and simple adjustable spray. Careful, the high setting will make you jump a few feet in the air. The heaters are not needed, you don't really feel the cold down there. I got mine on amazon for about $20. I will never go back to paper. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B003TPGPUW/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_mob DTH
a few months back, i installed a bidet, this model, on my shitter at home.
it's a little hard to "aim" at first, but i can't tell you how much i recommend this over regular old tp/butt wipes. i never realized how nice it was having a confidently clean butthole.
How to save on TP even more:
http://www.amazon.com/Astor-Non-Electric-Mechanical-Toilet-Attachment/dp/B003TPGPUW/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1393984795&sr=8-3&keywords=bidet
I recently made two purchases which have rocked my shitting world. The first is the Squatty Potty - crappy name, good idea. It changes your pooping posture to one more like squatting, which means less pushing, less hemorrhoids and less wiping. After hearing about this, I tried for a while just putting my feet on the trash can and other things, but it's way easier and more comfortable to just get the stool (in my opinion). EDIT: Read closer and see that you're already squatting, but I still recommend the stool if you don't have one.
Second, I got a bidet attachment for my toilet. There are MANY to choose from, but I got the lowest priced one on Amazon and have been very pleased. This is a simple device that just provides a stream of cool water to your bum to spray off the poo. Then you use a bit of toilet paper or cloth (your bum is clean, so no poo stains to wash off) to just dry off.
Between the two, I barely use toilet paper anymore, and I also used to need to use quite a lot to clean up. The downside to these purchases is that I'm now completely spoiled at home and miss them deeply when I travel.
mine
https://www.amazon.com/Astor-Non-Electric-Mechanical-Attachment-CB-1000/dp/B003TPGPUW
I got a squatty potty several weeks ago but TBH haven't found it to make a difference for me. I just have weird bowels I guess.
Installed a bidet attachment today, though. Total pain in the ass (heh) to install, since the toilet is right up against the vanity in my bathroom. No room to get in there, every goddamn nut was seized up, and then somehow I managed to break the fill valve in the toilet. When I turned the water back on, the cap on the fill valve shot off like a fucking rocket and I had a geyser of water hit me directly in the face. My husband ran out to get us a new fill valve while I wept. When he got back with it, I disassembled everything, put the new fill valve in, and then it all went in easy breezy and the bidet shoots water directly at my asshole with laser precision.
This is the correct answer.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003TPGPUW/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
That's the one I got, took all of 5 minutes to install. I can't imagine not having one now, just seems so unsanitary. I mean, if I got poop on my hands would I be content to just wipe it with a dry napkin and call it good?
Seriously a bidet is pretty much a pressure water up your ass. They are only $25 and pretty awesome
My friend bought this one on amazon and swears by it, however there are cheaper (non-heated) ones there that I’ve also seen with positive reviews on Reddit.
I had a bidet growing up and up until 2 years ago when I moved out. I had this baby ordered and installed before the 1st week of living on my own was over. It's such a clean asslife I live and pretty sweet on the wallet.

Really easy to install and clean.
No. You stop wiping once you reach your taint.
Also, when you start using wet wipes instead of only dry toilet paper to wipe your ass is the day you start to get cleaner.
I've actually been convinced by the experience of Redditors in another thread here to go with the $40 bidet installed on my toilet. It gets here in a few days, and I think my days of dry wiping will be over then.

I recently got this, it's very easy to install.
I now use 1 roll of toilet paper about every 1-2 months.
Buy one. They're cheap and easy to install. It's been a game-changer for me. Wiping my ass used to be like cleaning peanut butter off a poodle. Not anymore.
this one is superb
They have them on Amazon. For about $35 http://www.amazon.com/Astor-Non-Electric-Mechanical-Toilet-Attachment/dp/B003TPGPUW/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1367895894&sr=8-2&keywords=bidet
To the rim of the bowl!
They sell like $20 attachments on Amazon to install into the water line and attach to the rim. check it out
When I came home from Japan about a year ago I immediately bought a toilet seat that did most (not all) of the functions of the Japanese toilets.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007HIKQCK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_zaGrDbMFXPSFF
Pricey, but worth every penny. I looked in to the Toto toilets and seats but they're a bit more expensive so I decided to try this one first and it's pretty much everything I wanted. I may upgrade someday and move this one to my second bathroom, but for now I love it!
You've prompted me to check these out:

I think I will get this. One review reported using 1/3 less t.p. and I know my septic system would appreciate this, plus the other obvious benefit.

Just to clarify a few things here. While internal hemorrhoids can bleed, they typically are not painful. The nerve endings are actually there to sense fullness in your rectum for you to defecate - not for sensing pain.
The pain you're having is most likely the same external hemorrhoid, or a new one that's popped up. Have you tried looking for it, or do you feel it when you go to wipe? You can of course have both internal and external hemorrhoids at the same time. The color of the blood is difficult to gauge if you're trying to google your symptoms, since it can vary with the color and substance of your stool.
How long have you been dealing with them (from the very first flareup)? While having a soft stool is ideal, you also don't want to switch to a pure fiber only diet (can actually make the stool harder w/o water), and you also don't want to irritate the bowels causing you to have to strain excessively.
Best recommendation is this:
Hope this helps - and by all means, if you don't find relief within a week, please go see a doctor. While it may seem embarrassing to you, it can be a more serious issue that requires medical intervention. Feel better!
We have one of these installed in every toilet in our house. There should be a law that requires them in all public bathrooms. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00A0RMQ1E/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I have the bidet in the link and 100% vouch for it. Easy install and your life will never be the same.

There's actually a relatively inexpensive bidet toilet attachment if you're interested. I don't have one but they seem to have great reviews.
We recently installed the Luxe Bidet Neo 185 Elite Series ($43) and I prefer it over my hugely expensive BioBidet DIB.
The standard round seat that was on the toilet when we bought the house was angled after it was installed, but the seat bumpers arrived the next day and now it sits level and we have no problems.
As far as operation, I really like it a lot. I chose this model because the DIB sprayer is REALLY far back. I have to use the feminine just to wash the backside. The "normal" backside was hits in the crack of the butt and is useless.
The Luxe hits right where it's supposed to. Now, there are two washes: feminine and "normal." Because of the design the two jets are side by side which results in the sprayer being the tiniest bit off center. So one wash will spray your parts a bit to the right and the other one will spray a bit to the left. It's only the tiniest bit, but since you mentioned angles, I thought I would let you know.
We have REALLY high water pressure where we live so we purchased a Luxe Metal T-adapter with Shut-off Valve to reduce the water pressure. That allows us to move the dial about 1/8" for adjustment instead of about 1/32"
The feminine sprayer does go forward all the way and hits ever feminine spot there is. If one doesn't close their legs, a stream of water will shoot out and hit the wall across the room. :/
We have no leaks, the seat no longer sits at an angle and I love it!
Please feel free to ask any specific questions if I missed anything.
Hey, girl. I have colitis too (ischemic). I hear you on the bathroom thing. Boy, do I ever.
Might want to get yourself one of these. They're easy to install, all you need is an adjustable wrench and a flat head screwdriver. Even if you're not particularly handy, this is seriously easy. And worth it, holy cow, SO WORTH IT.
The first time you try it will be a shock because the water's not warmed up at all, but you get used to it, and after a flare-up, that cold water is a blessing. Very soothing. Stops me from shaking after I explode and am draped there, wrung out and weak.
Amazon in the US!
We have this one - https://www.amazon.com/TOTO-SW2034-01-Elongated-Washlet-Cotton/dp/B00UCIOWRM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1484608204&sr=8-1&keywords=toto+bidet

edit: not only is voltage and different but the toilet fittings are likely in metric so good luck with that. just use amazon and get the US version
Same here, and like many others I also bought a seat within a few weeks of coming home.

\^The one I have at home. Easy installation, simple concept, no buttons, just a push handle. Works great.
They might appreciate a bidet!
Got one for every toilet in the house. Literally one of the best purchases I've made.
For all those that do not have a bidet, it will change your life. It literally is the best $30 I've ever spent. There are many more that are more expensive but as far as entry level goes this one is great.

I have this one and it is a game changer. Totally recommend it. Not only do you use little or no TP, but the feeling of being totally clean afterwards is awesome. I used to pride myself on being a company time pooper, now I wait til I get home (if I can help it) to use the bidet.
I. Love. My. Bidet. This one is like a jet stream, so you can clean the surface or douche out your ass. Best thing ever.

Best $35 ive spent on Amazon. Pro tip, upgrade to the metal t valve.
First, congratulations!
My suggestion is to take good care of your fiancee... since that's what you want them to think you're doing, after all ;-)
Did your father-in-law already buy a bidet?? If not, Amazon US actually sells cheap basic bidets/spray toilet seats that you could install, if you really wanted to go above and beyond. Really, though, a bidet is the answer you seek... your in-laws will feel comfortable, and happy to know you cared enough to go out of your way since bidets aren't so common in the U.S.
Having slippers, chopsticks, and bottled beverages (non-sweetened) available for them would also be a nice gesture. Not everyone uses them, but for some it's a real comfort to have them around.
As someone who takes narcotics for pain, may I recommend Miralax? It dissolves in coffee easily and helps keep the constipation to a minimum.
Softer poop will be much easier to pass, talk to the docs about how much Miralax you need.
(I'm not a medical professional, please talk to an expert before taking new drugs!)
You're also going to need a bidet attachment for your toilet. That will help clean your butt without lots of painful wiping. I recommend this one, it's easy to install and use: "Luxe Bidet Neo 120 - Self Cleaning Nozzle - Fresh Water Non-Electric Mechanical Bidet Toilet Attachment (blue and white)" https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00A0RHSJO/

Am I allowed to link directly to products? This is the one I bought. I was off by 15 bucks It looks like but w/e.
You can get them to retro-fit on nearly any toilet. I got this one for about $45CDN just because of all the bidet talk here on reddit. I figured for the price it wasn't much of a gamble.
I can't express how much I love the thing. It is so far superior to toilet paper and you will have no idea until you try it.
I spent this weekend away from home and had to actually wipe my own ass for the first time in months. It was awful. Ate something that didn't agree with me so I was using the toilet more than usual too. Couldn't wait to get home.
Seriously, try it.
One negative that nobody ever mentions so I’m thinking it might just be the one I bought is that unless I sit just right it sprays the back of my nuts. There’s no way to adjust the angle so I have to deal with a little more cleanup than a quick bhole patdown about 50% of the time. Other than that it’s a big plus to my bowel movements.
I bought a cheap attachment one:

LUXE Neo 180 the 120 is fifteen bucks cheaper if you don't need the lady setting
Our bidet attachment arrived yesterday from amazon. I'm so clean, I recommend everyone get one.
This is the one I got
Here you go! This is the exact one I have now (with the lady function). Mine does not pulsate like /u/Hellen_Lecter's but I still love it.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00A0RMQ1E/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I obviously didn't install it (as mentioned in a previous comment), but even though my father complained it didn't take him long and I remember him saying it wasn't that difficult. With that being said if you don't know anything about plumbing like me you should probably ask someone who does for help lest you end up flooding your bathroom or breaking your toilet.
I had 3 fistulas: 1 low, 2 high. They did a fistulotomyb the low one and put draining setons in the 2 high ones. That was 5 months ago.
I bathe twice per day, each time for minimum 30 minutes but often for 90-120 minutes per bath. I read books, check reddit on my phone, watch videos, etc. I'm trying to jerry-rig some setup where I'd feel secure having my laptop in there so I could work during the day. It's hard to overstate how good a hot soak feels.
I also have a bidet on my toilet and a travel bidet which I take with me whenever I'm not home. I use panty liners to deal with drainage and change those 3-4 times per day.
I'm so grateful to have flexibility with my job where I can work from home on days I don't feel well. This experience would be much worse if I had limitations on my hygiene.
Other than the fistulas and 5-6 watery bowel movements per day I'm not overly symptomatic (subject to diet) so I'm grateful for that.
Started remicade and methotrexate a month ago. GI & colorectal surgeon want to give it 9-12 months and see if the fistulas are closing up.

Why don't ya save money and install a bidet?
Also it is fine to use wipes as long as they go in the trash and not flushed.
A lifesaver
Also, I get the Cottonelle wipes to take with me anytime I am away from home. I absolutely hate using any TP these days, in those rare instances, feels like I am walking around nasty.
Maybe they should just buy him a bidet. No more TP!
And on a similar note, a bidet attachment for your toilet. They're like $40 and super easy to install. (Don't bother with a hot water one, it really doesn't matter). I have this one. Seriously game-changing.
We got the Luxe Bidet Neo 320. For some reason it seems that the blue colored knobs make it $102, while the white colored knobs make it $58. I am pretty sure we paid about $40 though. I dunno, weird.
Maybe the easiest thing to do is take control over it (Buy lube - seriously.. buy it). You know you're interested in it so why not prep before hand - clean yourself in the shower, climb into bed, hand him your newly purchased bottle of lube and suggest some back door action. Instead of worrying about how to take 8-inches though, start with a finger and gradually build up to it just to see how you and your body likes it. It should give you a better idea of how your IBS will handle it and it'll be slow enough that you can slowly introduce bigger things into the mix if you desire as you go along. Keep it casual and fun. You're playing in the backdoor - at some point you're going to see stuff but it shouldn't be a mood killer, what did you expect :)
On a side note - IBS or not, if you're worried about cleanliness, you can always install a bidet toilet attachment. I installed 2 of them in my house now and I swear by them. Not messy at all.
I really wouldn't recommend him going in without ever working smaller things in the mix. I'm his size and if i were to try that in the very beginning my gf's would never want to try it again.
It's a bit pricey but worth every penny IMO

I just bought This last week, the wife likes it and our TP use has dropped significantly.

Best 40 bucks I have ever spent. I was having hemorrhoid problems off and on for months. Went to a proctologist, examined, given creams that did not work, and was told to consider surgery. I bought this and my hemorrhoids were gone in less than two weeks.
This is the one I bought almost 6 years ago (still working like a champ), but I see many newer models in Amazon, if you search for 'luxe bidet'.
A bidet? You can buy one here. I have one myself.
Think of it this way, if you got shit on any part of your body would you be comfortable with just wiping it off with paper? No? Then why do you do that on your ass?
This is what I got from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001KKRCFA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Not available now, but there are other options which I'm sure are just fine.

Who needs toilet paper when you can install one of these in less than 5 minutes?
This is what I got. It's great and only took 15-20 minutes for me to install. I kind of wish I got one with warm water hookups (around $60) for the coming winter.
Here's an example There's a nozzle inside that you can adjust back and forth for a higher/lower aim. There are dials on the side that control force and temperature. It's just a stream with a little force. It's very controlled. I've never had or have known of any incidents where it went or sent somewhere or something it shouldn't have.

Jazak Allah Khair for helping him out. No need to get angry. Remember that what you teach him will be written as a reward for you every time he does it. It's a great opportunity to gain a lot of rewards.
I am not sure about which you are talking.
If it's about Wudu, then explain to him that we are taught as Muslims to not waste water. And that getting water to where it should be is enough (i.e., in Wudu)
If it's cleaning up after visiting the bathroom then maybe you could consider [this] (http://www.amazon.com/Astor-Non-Electric-Mechanical-Toilet-Attachment/dp/B003TPGPUW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1404518306&sr=8-1&keywords=bidet) Or maybe swing by Home Depot and explain to them that you want to install a water spray bidet. It's very doable and here is a [video] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4sT_wfTv7UI).
Good luck and May Allah reward you.
You should tell your Father in Law about these;

These would help him to stay clean during the week and reduce irritation to his sensitive areas.
You low brow non-bidet users. Let me ask you this. If I were to wipe shit on your forearm. Would you grab a dry paper towel to get it off and be satisfied or would you wet it a little bit to ensure you were clean? For the sake of humanity, I hope you agree that you would wet it. So, why is your asshole any different? You can buy this bidet for only $25. It has 6,600 reviews at 4.5 of 5 stars. Installs on your toilet in 10 minutes.

This is the one I bought.I call it my ass blastor.
Sure! I have [this bidet](Brondell S1000-EW Swash 1000 Advanced Bidet Elongated Toilet Seat, White https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0045UB9GK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_nKg5AbXEH37J7). It’s a seat you can fit on any existing toilet. We had to add a power outlet to our bathroom to do it. But that was like $300 and I did a price watch on the bidet and got it for $400 so all in for $700 and it is LIFE CHANGING. It has two washers, one for the butt and one for the cooch, you can select the temp of the water and the air, and the seat is warmed. It amazing. I’m gonna go use it now.....
You can get portable, hand held bidets on line too, though the maximum pressure of the water stream is less, like this
Going paperless is still in fashion in parts of Asia. But for me, a guy born & raised in America, it was a leap of faith about a year ago when I installed a bidet under the toilet seat and no amount of Internet videos & articles could truly prepare me for that first blast. But here I am, almost a year later and I'd never go back. Benefits I've noticed include:
I have found that it's healthier, cleaner and more environmental to give up toilet tissue. I've often wondered how much of an impact it would if everyone on Earth made the switch.
The Bad:
While there are portable 'squeeze water bottle' bidets available, I find them impractical to carry with me. So on the rare occasions I'm not 'making the morning deposit' at home and I have no choice but to paper wipe, it irritates because I'm not used to it.
How it works:
A device connects under your toilet seat with a small water sprayer that showers your 'down there'. A water supply line connects under the toilet's water tank using a T adapter. It's actually a pretty simple DIY project to install, but make darned sure you have all the plumbing supplies you need before you start if this is your only toilet. There are heated models available. My largest fear at the beginning was the cold water part. Heated models require wiring and are much more expensive. I decided to try the cold model first and see how it went. Glad I did, I'd never want to use heated water now. The first couple goes were a bit chilly, but it got easier every time.

So there it is, my tell all deepest darkest secret. Ask me any questions, or if you're in the Bidet Brotherhood (or sisterhood) share your own experiences.
I bought one of these a couple of years ago. Easy to install, no complaints. I don't know about anybody else but I -do- use a little TP to both doublecheck that the job is done and to dry my bits off. Overall, a roll can last me (single male) a month.
The Luxe bidet is easy to install and comes with everything you need inside the box at $36 via amazon:

I bought one of these portable bidets for post pregnancy, but now that toilet paper usage is getting ridiculous, maybe I should just keep a little towel by the toilet and use this instead of toilet paper!
Tempted to buy one of these bad boys
I do the bidet too. Grabbed one of these that i keep in my backpack for work poops. No ragrets.
Here's the one I got: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008CSDKSQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I've been using it for less than a week, so I haven't made a final decision on how I'd rate it. So far it gets the job done, though.
Portable bidet.
This one
And This one
The first one I find has a bit more pressure, but both get the job done. The first one is more portable obviously. All I have to do is get my hands on a 20oz bottle. I've literally cleaned my bum with straight Dasani water (cause we all know it's not worth drinking).
I bought a $25 bidet attachment on Amazon and it works wonderfully. Stings my butthole a little if I turn the pressure too high, but I can't imagine a working bidet being any cheaper.
Edit: it was this one if anyone cares.
I got this one, it changed my life. Got one for Mom, she loved it and had me get one for all her sisters.

Haven't bought yet but that seems to be the best rated and most popular on Amazon. In the end they're all designed to shoot water at your ass so the only really difference in most is the dial lol.

Less than $40 right now. Get it, you’ll love it! But, go very light on the pressure...i can’t imagine why anyone or how anyone would use the #10 setting, lol.

There are 2 types of bidets. There’s what you described but there are also super cheap add ons you can get to an existing toilet. I spend around $30 on mine and it only took probably 20 minutes to install, with zero damage to the toilet, floor, wall anything. No additional plumbing needed either.
I think it was this one: https://www.amazon.com/Luxe-Bidet-Neo-120-Non-Electric/dp/B00A0RHSJO/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1550391056&sr=8-3&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=bidet&dpPl=1&dpID=419LXSZM6YL&ref=plSrch
Why not just get one now? Just attach this one to your toilet.
Hello, sorry to hijack your comment but I have a question for you as someone who works in a hotel if you don't mind. I will be staying in a hotel for 4 months (paid by my employer) while I finish the job training. I use a toilet bidet like This one in my house, and I honestly feel like I can't live without it. Would something like this be allowed in my hotel room? There is no plumbing that needs to be done, the bidet connects directly to the toilet pipe and it's very easy to install. Again sorry for the off topic question but I really don't know where to ask this.
We've only been able to convert one person in our immediate circle of friends. And the guy's wife won't even use it. My mother screamed when she tried it at my house, which was at least entertaining... ;)
This is the one we have. Luxe Bidet Attachment on Amazon
Amazon Luxe 120
Just a heads up, but you can get a $25-35 bidet attachment for any regular toilet. They work pretty well.
My buddy has this one and swears by it. He lives in the south, so the cold water isn't as big of a deal. I live in MN so the heated one is necessary.
This is the one I got.

A bidet. I bought one after someone in a thread exactly like this suggested it, and it's as life-changing as they said it would be. https://www.amazon.com/Luxe-Bidet-Neo-120-Non-Electric/dp/B00A0RHSJO (Don't forget to use Amazon smile if you buy it.....doctors without borders could use the help)
We recently got this one and installation was simple. https://www.amazon.com/Luxe-Bidet-Neo-120-Non-Electric/dp/B00A0RHSJO/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=luxe+bidet&qid=1550727061&s=gateway&sr=8-3 Since we've had it, I have thought "more women need these, especially postpartum and when menstruating." Useful for sure. And I say this as someone who was totally resistant to the idea.
Rather than baby wipes, invest in a simple mechanical bidet. We've got this model and love it so much that we've given them as housewarming gifts and I've even installed them at my office so I don't have to poop like a savage during the workday...! Trust me - with the bidet, you're shower-fresh every single time, and you'll never want to go back to just toilet paper.
And you can help your husband get over the embarrassment with a little help from Parks & Rec...
Go buy a bidet. Seriously one of the best $35-$50 you can spend. After a month, I ended up buying one for each bathroom, my parent's house, and even a couple of friends.
Buy this valve too, it helps with the install.

I've had no problems with this one:
Amazon Canada
Amazon USA
I swear every person in the US needs to get one. Totally changed the way I poop. I go through like one roll of toilet paper every month or two, I always feel refreshed, and I never get swamp ass. Buy this thing RIGHT NOW. It installs in less than 5 minutes.
http://www.amazon.com/Luxe-Bidet-Neo-120-Non-Electric/dp/B00A0RHSJO/
I bought this one
https://www.amazon.com/Luxe-Bidet-Neo-120-Non-Electric/dp/B00A0RHSJO/ref=sr_1_4?s=kitchen-bath&ie=UTF8&qid=1506473914&sr=1-4&keywords=bidet
Not only will your ass be squeeky clean, but your tp bill will pay for the bidet in a month or two.
Plus it feels kinda good.
Yeah, Toto Washlets are the shit. But if you don't want to spend that much money, for like $40 you can get a very effective alternative.
It'll change your life. Highly recommended for anyone with an asshole.
Yep! https://www.amazon.com/Luxe-Bidet-Neo-120-Non-Electric/dp/B00A0RHSJO
But when we replace this toilet were getting a true bidet toilet.
Since colorectal cancer is on the rise, and earlier in today's sub someone mentioned bidet attachments for their toilet -- I think we should take a moment to appreciate this review of the top selling bidet attachment on Amazon:
>Speaking as a hirsute gentleman, the Luxe Bidet Neo 120 has soured me on pooping in bidet-less toilets forever. It's shown me the difference between rubbing peanut butter out of shag carpeting with a paper towel, and that sparkling clean feeling you get right when you step out of the shower.
>The unit took me all of about 10 minutes to install on my existing toilet with only a wrench. The easy-to-control flow valve allows you to provide just the right amount of water pressure for a full range of cleaning, from "gentle trickling stream" to "full-on 'Silkwood' decontamination", ensuring the end of your bowel movement leaves you feeling cleaner and more refreshed than using just toilet paper alone. Even flush-able wet wipes pale in comparison.
I hope to report back on the state of my rectal health shortly after a few weeks of use. Hemorrhoids be damned!
I have this one...
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00A0RHSJO?psc=1
It's only $40. There really is no excuse for smearing feces all over your anus.
A bidet will change your life.
What's the difference?
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00A0RHSJO/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1491855606&sr=8-2&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=bidet+for+toilet
get a bidet. will change your life. Used to take me maybe 25 wipes (and I would always put water on my toilet paper to clean better). Now it takes me about 6-7. Imagine getting shit on your arm, would you simply wipe it with tp 25 times and call it good? No, you would rinse that shit off first with water, wipe some more. So why is your ass any different? It isn't. Get a bidet. You will use less TP and thus have a less chafed asshole, no more itchy asshole if you ever had that issue.
Here is the item that I bought. It's REALLY simple to install and it should take no longer than 5-10 minutes.
What does it do? Pretty much when you are done pooping it shoots water on your asshole completely cleaning your asshole out. And when I mean on your asshole I MEAN RIGHT THERE, ON YOUR ASSHOLE. Note: If you have hemorrhoids it's best to get that fixed first before using the bidet.
How does it do it? (I'm bad at explaining things.) There's a diverter tube that get connected to the tube that flows into your toilet, that attaches to the bidet. It uses water pressure from your house and jets the water onto your backside. You may have to move your butt around to make sure the water gets your whole butthole. Then you get up and wipe your butt with toilet paper. There should be no poop, only water on the toilet paper. It's 95% one wipe day, EVERYDAY!
Put it like this: Imagine if you got poop on you arm right now. How would you clean it up? Would you be happy with using a paper towel and leaving it as in? No, you probably would run water on your arm first then wipe it off with the towel. What you are pretty much doing right now on your backside is being happy/content with using just the toilet paper to clean your backside and being happy. That's just gross. That $55 that I spent on my bidet has LITERALLY paid for itself in less than a week. The feeling of actually being clean back there feels amazing. (Note: I do NOT work for LUXE bidet or know anyone that does nor am I an investor.) Buy it, try it, and you'll be thanking me later. Unless you have hemorrhoids.
Fyi: you can buy a bidet attachment that fits on to any toilet. I bought this a few months ago and love it
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00A0RMQ1E/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_cIqUzb0T9J37A
Thirding the bidet, and I'll recommend this one in particular.
I'll also suggest one of the various pseudo-squatting stools, such as the squatty potty.
How about one of these
Changed my life and get one of these too.
I bought a $79 hand bidet off amazon. It came in two days (no prime) and I had it installed it literally under 10 minutes. No electricity required, works great, and the thing has literally saved my ass. Highly recommend.
I've had this about 2 years (bidet sprayer). Regardless of what's coming out, this is nice to have (no more buying TP!)! And poo-pourri, which you can also DIY.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BEBFV08
I'd rub coconut oil there if I felt raw.
Solution: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00BEBFV08
Do you have one of these? People keep recommending them on here and I think I'm going to get one. I hate to admit it, but I tend to have an issue with diaper rash. (Thanks, hemorrhoids!)
If you're having wet gas and worried about smells, it may help you feel cleaner and more confident.
Now 35. You know how Amazon prices can vary from month to month. Here's the model I have and it is great!

>hugs you are too kind! I tried googling bidets before but I don't understand. You sit down on a bowl of water and run your hands over yourself?
It's an attachment you put between the toilet seat and bowl. It shoots a jet of water to you underside and rinses, like a faucet for your bum.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JG2DETM?gclid=Cj0KCQiAtf_tBRDtARIsAIbAKe25IIV2ZOFdQypDC-VGqu96_Ah4xEfmjB5Xbo6o6scuqCcM0o3MJDAaAs3dEALw_wcB
>Also does anyone know if the Toto washlet from costco is the C100 or the C200?
I don't think it's either of those. The Costco listing supplies "TOTO WASHLET T1SW2024", of which the SKU corresponds to the A200. This would be the model from Toto.
All of that being said, you don't have to spend hundreds of $$ for a quality bidet experience. This $60 model is what I've gifted to a number of first time users (for a great/useful birthday gift) and it's always been a hit.
Best of luck.
For less than $20 more you can have hot & cold. It adds another 30 minutes installation time, but you’ll be glad for it in February!

Absolutely. I bought and installed this a couple years ago and it's awesome. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JG3NVG2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
If you want to wash your lady parts, one like this would be easier to use, though if you already purchased one it might not really be worth it.

Get one of these. Use more water, less TP. Feel cleaner.
Amazon has aftermarket attachments

Get a bidet. I no longer need wet wipes, and I barely even need toilet paper. All that's left to do after bidet-ing is to gently dry off. It's been mind blowing and life changing. Why are americans so barbaric? Bidets are inexpensive. They are powered by the clean water going into the toilet tank (does not need electricity). This one took only 15 minutes to install. Do it. Get one. You will thank me!!
https://amzn.to/2qHAAel
We just got this one https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00UCIOWRM, and we absolutely love it. However, as the other poster said, y ou should get what's in your budget.
GET A WASHLETTE
They have these things everywhere in Japan, and after we got home from our honeymoon, I had to have one.
They are kinda pricey, but if you look around, I got mine from costco for less than $300 canadian.
You will have the cleanest and happiest asshole I promise you, and when you wipe, everything comes away clean!
It will also be great for after birth, because you can use the wash function to spray water while you pee hot lava fire.
Here's a worthy investment
Yeah dude they sell them on Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/TOTO-SW2034-01-Electronic-Elongated/dp/B00UCIOWRM/
Slap one of these bad boys on there
https://www.amazon.com/SmartBidet-Electronic-Temperature-Controlled-Functions/dp/B0128T2HQK/ (If you don't have kids and aren't prone to losing remotes.)
https://www.amazon.com/SW2034-01-Elongated-Washlet-Cotton-White/dp/B00UCIOWRM/ (If you DO have kids or are prone to losing remotes.)
There's also non-electrical versions that operate only on water pressure, but of course you lose seat heating, etc.
Lots of options to choose from.
\> Tools & Home Improvement \> Kitchen & Bath Fixtures \> Bathroom Fixtures \> Bidet & Bidet Parts \> Bidet Seats
To review the options :)
Edit: If you're looking for the OP's exact model it appears to be an Inax Clessence Elongated Electronic Toilet Seat with Side Controls (White Color), not a cheapy.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F6BG9GM
So... like every Japanese toilet? They usually sell the covers for few hundred.
I like the heating part, but I did not find the spray very useful.
The drier is awful. It pushes all the odours out in your face. Yuck.
If I had my own house I'd get one though.
Or one that heats the water. More expensive and you need a convenient outlet, but sooo nice https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0128T2HQK/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Yes! These are very easy to put on and removed.
I linked the one I have in the comments earlier, but I forgot about this one my friend purchased which is exactly the same as the one I use but with a different brand name and half the price. Works wonderful.
My main recommendation when looking for one is making sure there is a knob to adjust the pressure (basically all of them have this it is how you turn them on) and a little switch or knob to adjust the water angle.
Greenco Bidet Fresh Water Spray Non-Electric Mechanical Bidet Toilet Seat Attachment
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01A17T3N6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_HXUWAb6HKZPZV
It attaches to your toilet. You need a flexible hose, though, not a straight one. It will make your seat uneven if you don't buy spacers to lift the front of the seat up, but honestly I don't have the spacers and it doesn't bother me at all to have a slightly slanted seat.
I bought this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01A17T3N6.
I went cheap because I didn't think I'd use it long term. It's been almost a year and I'm still using it. It works great, and I love the adjustable nozzle. Cleaning it is not too difficult either. The only thing I will say is you should get new bumpers for the toilet seat also, since after installing it, the back of the toilet seat will sit up a little higher. These are the ones I bought https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B076BFPJSC. Instead of relying on the adhesive, I actually screwed them into the toilet seat with small stainless steel screws and covered the screw heads with a little caulk.
This confuses me. Do you just squat over the bowl and hose off your ass? It seems like shitty water would go everywhere. I've considered those ones that kinda snaps onto the rim of the bowl like this, but I can never bring myself to actually buy one because they seem cheap.
Life hack buy a bidet, you fucking heathens:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CF51ZJ2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I have extensive experience with this!!
First and foremost, get her a bidet that attaches to the toilet. It will make post-pee/poo so much more manageable. Make sure to get one that is easy to operate and where she can turn the knob easily. Amazon has tons to choose from. Edit: This is the one I have experience with. Worked wonderfully and was easy to install.
Other helpful products:
-A loofah that suctions to the shower wall. Several at varying heights is even better. Also a loofah on a long handle for when she has more mobility.
-Shower protectors for her casts/bandages
-Finger foods she doesn't need utensils to use for when she gains some mobility back. Cut veggies, berries, and crackers are a good start.
-Pull-on pants without buttons. Don't have to be sweatpants, necessary. Again, you can find tons on Amazon.
-Slip-on shoes
Good luck to your mom!! If I think of anything else I'll let you know. :)
Bidet attachments are your friend.
I'm American but after using a bidet for a significant amount of time I get skeeved out anytime I watch something like this or listen to anybody talk about just using toilet paper. It just disgusts me.
Previous to owning one, I would always read comments on reddit of people saying "BUY A BIDET", and I would not have guessed i'd be one, but

Blogger/podcaster/bidet enthusiast Lex Friedman wrote about his favorite bidet here. He's partial to the Luxe Bidet MB110. I'm tempted to try one in my next home. I don't know how BIFL it is, but at this price it's worth a shot.

Warning: CAN BE SUPER COLD. So pucker up.
Shit, Shower, Shave.
It's in that order for a reason.
Add-on bidet and TP to dry if the schedule is off.
I bought a bidet attachment on Amazon a few years ago and it was actually pretty great. It was a pretty simple installation process and I believe the cost was $40 or less.
Edit: Found a link for you.
I'm so glad to read this as I have had terrible diarrhea for the last 15 days after quitting CT. I was concerned that it was liver damage from kava I was taking to sooth PAWS anxiety. I think that the kava was making it worse, but the gut problems were probably mostly from the kratom withdrawal. Thanks for putting my mind at ease. I hope that your gut gets back to normal soon. If you have to have diarrhea, this is a lifesaver:

Not sure if there's a way you can gift him a gift certificate to a local gym for a day pass or spa that has a sauna? My dads side of the family was Finnish and whenever we'd go visit we'd always take saunas together as a family. Part of that tradition was reading the "Finnish sauna rules" which I think were half joking, half real. Anyway here's a sign that he could maybe hang in his bathroom? Not sure if it's framed, so could get it framed and shipped. Timing may be trickier though..
Okay and this is a really weird gift and a little personal, but again popular with my dad (man with the Finnish blood who's in his mid-60s) and pretty much my whole family has one now. An attachable bidet for an existing toilet. It could honestly make his quality of life a little better. Installation is pretty simple too.
Also you could get him an immersion blender. Easy way to purée soups, smoothies, etc. and they're generally only $30.
Then there's this that could play into his mad scientist side. Again another popular gift that my Dad was into.
Hope this helps and you all have a great Christmas. So nice to hear that you're taking care of your father and keep in touch with him. I'm sure it means a lot to him.
This, right here - - $40, fits on any toilet, and will completely revolutionize that part of your life spent pooping.

There's a bunch more like that.
I went lota shopping for you.
Go with the bidet, it's only $25 and a 5 minute install. When you're done using it, you should only be using TP to dry yourself off.
Flushable wipes aren't actually flushable and end up causing problems for everyone.

Just be straightforward and honest after finding a calm, neutral time to bring it up.
I'm a big fan of coming pre-loaded with solutions whenever I confront a problem (at least to get the ball rolling), so maybe you could buy some flushable wipes (like baby wipes but not for babies) ahead of time and set them on the back of the toilet/otherwise nearby. Love those things.
Or try out a bidet toilet seat attachment...wistful sigh
I pretty much went to the Amazon top-rated ones in the category; I got this one first and it's great, then when we built another bathroom next to my bedroom I bought one of these because I was curious about the warm water (it's nice, but it was a bit more difficult to install and takes time to warm up anyway). Both of them were a lot cheaper when I bought them 3-4 years ago; it looks like the top-rated one right now is this; I can't personally speak about it but the ratings are good. :)
Also I forgot to mention in my first post: toilet paper lasts basically forever. Using four to six squares just to dry off it takes me over three months to use a single roll.
I have hemorrhoids. These will save your damn life.
you can actually get a really cheap bidet attachment for your toilet on amazon, it is also very simple to install, here are the two types I've seen:
Invest in a bidet attachment for the home commode and that number will decline sharply. Plus, it's much cleaner.
Easy to install and 27 bucks from Amazon - http://www.amazon.com/Astor-Non-Electric-Mechanical-Attachment-CB-1000/dp/B003TPGPUW/
Oué c'est un truc comme ca.
Not OP, but I have this one and it's awesome!
Or you could get this amazing bidet! I actually bought this after another redditor posted it on a thread years back. Changed my life. Plus it's less than $30 and it was super easy for my husband to set up.
http://www.amazon.com/Astor-Non-Electric-Mechanical-Attachment-CB-1000/dp/B003TPGPUW/ref=sr_1_1?s=kitchen-bath&ie=UTF8&qid=1453479944&sr=1-1&keywords=bidet
Well, to be fair, you can get a simple bidet on Amazon for $25. In the long run, it'd end up costing less since its life span is certainly longer than toilet paper.
the nozzle isnt in the water, it connects to your water line not the bowl water. and every bidet ive used/ seen has the auto retracting nozzle so its never exposed unless its on. best 25 bucks you could ever spend right here
http://www.amazon.com/Astor-Non-Electric-Mechanical-Toilet-Attachment/dp/B003TPGPUW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1380741332&sr=8-1&keywords=astor+bidet
This.

yes.

They aren't motorized, they use the pressure from the water pipe to shoot the water at your poop hole. I have one similar to that and it works fine. The heated ones seem nicer, but cold water won't hurt you and it'll wake you up in the morning.
Shoutout for the toilet bidet kit. A stool makes you a prince, but a bidet makes you a king.
Nope American. A friend had brought it up that he got one recently and it was great so i decided to go for it. Got this one. They turned out to be cheaper than I thought they would be and it works great.
Here you go. I've had two of these for three years now with no problems.
Bidet user reporting in, clean and sparkling booty all year round.
I bought mine 3 years ago for $50, now they're half the price from the same company. Very reliable, just don't ever EVER go full pressure directly in to the tender pink donut.

This is the exact bidet I use, it's even on sale.
You can thank me later
Just installed this bad boy today. Super easy, took about 20 minutes.
I had pretty much the same reaction, with one minor difference. I had a brief, high-pitched scream at the beginning (described by my neighbor as "hyena-like"). That was followed by a mad scramble for the spray control knob, then another few seconds of unsticking my now wet shirt from my back while I repositioned for round 2. From that point on, though... exactly like yours.
Pro tip: it doesn't matter how tough you think you are, do not start off on the highest setting. You need to work your way up to that shit.
You can buy a 24.99 bidet attachment on Amazon that goes under the seat, easy to install uninstall and move even when renting. I've brought one of these with me to a hotel before--5 min install coming in, uninstall on the way out.

Connects in between the water line and the tank. No more poopy butt.
Mine is a Brondell S-1000, and it cost me about CDN$650.
> Also, you have a bidet? Or has it identified something it's calling a bidet?
Spent a few months in far east (Japan/Singapore/Hong Kong) two years ago. First thing I bought when I returned was one of these. Let me just say it doesn't get 4.5 stars on Amazon for nothing!
I have one of these. It's amazing. http://www.amazon.com/Brondell-S1000-EW-Advanced-Elongated-Toilet/dp/B0045UB9GK
Eh, don't wipe
Just a thought: since you are going to have a washer/dryer setup in there, maybe it would be a good idea to include a floor drain? Just in case the washer leaks, or a hose bursts? Might save you a lot of headaches one day.........
And three outlets. One on either side of the vanity, and one down low by the toilet. This will allow you to power a warm water bidet:
https://www.amazon.com/Brondell-S1000-EW-Advanced-Elongated-Toilet/dp/B0045UB9GK
Once you experience it, you will wonder how you ever survived all this time without one......
You can get ones that have a dryer that also dry your ass after. https://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Elongated-Installation-Adjustable-Posterior/dp/B007HIKQCK/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1549824756&sr=8-8&
Buy one of the cheap-o ones from Amazon that tees off of the supply line and give it a go and I think you'll understand. That, plus you'll save on TP.
For example:
https://www.amazon.com/Bidet-MB110-Non-Electric-Mechanical-Attachment/dp/B001KKRCFA
To Amazon!
I am not in the middle east, yet in America, but I installed a bidet in all my toilets where I live. I really don't understand why they aren't more popular in the US.
tl;dr;

everyone should install one. this or any other one.
You're welcome. This has saved me so much toilet paper.
Pretty sure he answered the questions with every bathroom has a sink right? Maybe he just uses water on his hand and wipe his butt until he knows it's clean? To be honest he should just get a bidet. http://www.amazon.com/MB110-Non-Electric-Mechanical-Toilet-Attachment/dp/B001KKRCFA
This! Granted, that might introduce a whole different issue with small children....
Bidet adapter kit
an old roommate of mine had these in his house...took a little getting used to, and the cold water was sometimes a shock - but totally worth it. When I buy a house I am definitely installing these.
All you need is ~$50 and 10 minutes.
I feel you OP. Your suitemate is being unreasonable. When you can, you two should drop 15 each and get yourselves a bidet.
Just buy this, seriously one of the best purchases I've ever made.
Just going to go ahead and post this link for anyone who is interested. Super simple model for like $24. I have this one and it's 100% worth it. Trust.
https://smile.amazon.com/Bidet-MB110-Non-Electric-Mechanical-Attachment/dp/B001KKRCFA/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1542127963&sr=8-3&keywords=bidet+mb110
Bought this attachment, super cheap and works well. I hate using public non-bidet toilets now.
I've purchased two of these... one was actually during my first time in Asia so I had it waiting for me when I got home. Super easy to install, highly recommended.
http://www.amazon.com/Luxe-MB110-Non-Electric-Mechanical-Attachment/dp/B001KKRCFA/ref=sr_1_4?s=kitchen-bath&ie=UTF8&qid=1457268969&sr=1-4&keywords=bidet
Next bathroom upgrade: bidet. I bought one a year ago when I was at a litre a day habit. When you are able to fully wash your "area" after shotgunning the toilet bowl it cuts down on irritation or rash that can develop later. Nowadays I've cut back on the drinking, but the bidet helps when I'm blocked up from other vices.
Seriously I cannot reccomend a bidet enough guys this is the one I bought (pretty much same one just updated) and it is the best ~$40 I have spent in a long time.
After I bought it, one-by-one now my entire family have them.
I think they use a T connector so it uses the same water supply that fills the bowl. Source
$40
not quite the same but pretty awesome

This conversation never happened, also spend the frickin $40 and see what it does for you, the fact is it shoots a stream of water out, you can move your butt around to a degree to get greater coverage, I say give it a shot if you have any kind of disposable income, they're pretty simple to hook up too.
Option 1
Option 2
for those who dont know what that means, like myself.... http://www.amazon.com/Luxe-MB110-Non-Electric-Mechanical-Attachment/dp/B001KKRCFA
I'm not sure if you have Crohn's as it's not clear from your post so this may not apply.
Fissures became the ultimate reason I got an ostomy, I remember the pain of bowel movements so vividly. I actually became afraid of eating and started losing lots of weight.
I was taking sitz baths several times/day and using witch hazel pads for wiping. Each offered only moderate relief. A portable bidet actually helped a little, but sometimes it was also painful to have the direct contact. Something like this one, https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B001KKRCFA/ref=mh_s9_acsd_top_bkUNrH_c_x_4_w?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=mobile-hybrid-11&pf_rd_r=382Z096K0MFFZ8744RFY&pf_rd_t=30901&pf_rd_p=c21ec71f-52a5-57f0-a441-f6e3c87ea1d7&pf_rd_i=686953011
Sorry I don't have more to offer.
Yeah, it was pretty cheap for the one I got. This is the one I bought from Amazon. I can't give a review for it as I still haven't installed it yet, but installation seemed like it should be pretty straightforward. There are a bunch of different ones for sale on Amazon though.
A cleaner happier butthole is only a click away
cough
It needn't be an expensive business.

Or you could just save the money of buying a WHOLE OTHER TOILET and with install and new piping... and buy a toilet accessory that washes your booty without having to get off the toilet move to another toilet, wash and move back to wipe dry...
I bought this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001KKRCFA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
works like a charm and I love it. Took me ten minutes to install and yes there is nothing like a clean behind... the wiping consists of a pat dry. and it is just so much cleaner
Talk to your oncologist first but you may want to get on some probiotics. Chemo really kills the gut flora and sometimes a little push (probiotics / yogurt) can help get things back on track.
Also we ordered this to help with hubbys post-chemo & post RPLND bathroom time, and it's been great. Highly recommend.
Good luck!

Here's an electric one, on the lower end of the price scale since electric ones can be really fancy and get up to like $800+
Here's a really basic mechanical one.
For either type, you need to make sure that the shape/size of the bidet matches up with your toilet. Most mechanical ones are cold water only, which can be a bit uncomfortable. Some mechanical ones have a hot water hookup so you can temps but that would require additional plumbing on your end. Most electric ones use only cold water and have an electric heater in its storage tank. Some have timers/sensors. Some heat the water faster than others. Both types can be just rear (butthole) spray, or a combination rear and front (for ladies, or taint). But, the rear-only option can still be used by women for the front, with some creative maneuvering.
One was ordered from Amazon, Astor and the other one I found on chance on clearance at Kohl's department store. I don't recall the brand and not at home. But that one I like better, it's very similar but has more pressure.

This is a bidet. I don't care what pre conceived notions you may have about using it. I went through the same shit you did until I got this. No matter how bad your movement, this will clean you up in 5 seconds. I went from using a roll of TP in a day to taking about 7 seconds to use the bathroom daily. It's easy to install and easy as fuck to use. If this is as big of a problem as you say it is, get this and don't look back.
No because while the water turns off, the nozzle also goes back in the guard. It all happens in one motion. Also your asshole is pretty far away from the nozzle unless you have a prolapse anus 😂
The one I use is the Astro Bidet and it works so well for $25. I know it sounds like an ad but honestly, after getting the damn thing, wet wipes became a thing of the pass and I use far less toilet paper now as well. Only use it to dry myself. Also has pressure control so you can control how much pressure the nozzle is giving out, just in case you are having a very very bad stomach virus giving you the runs.
So this is a little outside the box, but have you ever thought about a bidet? Here is one that is less than $30 and you will end up cleaner than using any type of paper. If you use the bidet at home, you can probably stand the paper at work. At least you won't have to use paper all the time.

Te preguntaras como pudiste vivir sin eso toda tu vida.
It's easy. I used a wrench and a socket set and I think a flathead. I'm not very "handy" and I got it installed perfectly with no problems. This is the one I added to my other toilet:
Astor Bidet Fresh Water Spray Non-Electric Mechanical Bidet Toilet Seat Attachment CB-1000 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003TPGPUW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_q.aBxbNSS18MT
I don't know why the price went up like $40. Seems it's only available via third party sellers right now. Look up similar ones. They're all pretty much the same.
As for guests seeing it, my dad fell in love with it so I ordered him one last year for Father's Day. My gf was apprehensive then admitted she liked it.
I have this same issue. You probably have some minor constipation and could benefit from more water, more fiber, maybe some metamucil. This is happening because your poop is too hard.
My solution (in addition to the above things) was to purchase an over-the-toilet bidet. I have this one, and let me tell you: it is life changing. My butthole is so clean, no more hemorrhoids, no more itchy, scratchy, stinkiness. It's like a localized shower for your anus whenever you want.
DO NOT shave with a razor or even clippers/buzzers. The first day or two might feel nice, but MARK MY WORDS, the next 6 months to a year will be the worst itchiest hell you have ever experienced.
Get some mirrors, take some adderall and go at it with scissors is your best bet.
ALSO, you can get a relatively cheap bidet (~30$ and up) that attaches to a standard toilet from Amazon. This thing changed my fucking life.
https://www.amazon.com/Astor-Non-Electric-Mechanical-Attachment-CB-1000/dp/B003TPGPUW/ref=sr_1_1?s=kitchen-bath&ie=UTF8&qid=1475189629&sr=1-1&keywords=bidet
Are you looking for a porcelein or for an add on to your toilet. I have https://www.amazon.com/Astor-Non-Electric-Mechanical-Attachment-CB-1000/dp/B003TPGPUW and it's stellar. I can't poop anywhere else comfortably
If you're re-doing your bathroom, maybe a fancy mom-level bidet is in the cards for you, but a year ago or so I bought one of these Astor Bidets from Amazon. $25, I feel at this point, everyone should be blasting their asshole with water. Super easy to install, seems to be a laser guided, heat seeking water stream as it hits the spot with stunning accuracy.
Has variable speeds, but full blast is total hole destruction, unnecessary. The downside versus a pro-bidet is the water is cold only, I'd imagine warm water bidets feel amazing but surprisingly, the cold water isn't bad at all.
It's a gamechanger, best $25 I ever spent.
Sorry for the delay, but it's this one
Astor Bidet Fresh Water Spray Non-Electric Mechanical Bidet Toilet Seat Attachment CB-1000 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003TPGPUW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_M8RGDbZ2ESSEX

Can personally say this was both easy to install and very beneficial.
This might be tmi but have you ever used a bidet? I got one on Amazon like this that hooks up to a normal commode. It's pretty forceful even on the lowest setting and you can really get it blasted into nooks and crannies. For that fresh clean feeling! And it's not a bad way to wake up in the morning ;)
There was another about a couple who has a poop sponge they would attach to one of these to wipe... They were so proud of their ingenuity too
Also they would re-use the poop sponge. Honestly though all people should get a bidet, we should not be wiping our asses in 2018, we have mechanical robots that will wash them for us for $25 on Amazon.
just get one of these and call it a day
The only downside is burning cold water right on your butthole in the winter.

About the price of a 48 pack of toilet paper rolls.
No! Buy a bidet! It's like your ass took a shower after every poop. I bought one of these a few years ago and I never want to shit anywhere else!

It can be upgraded: http://www.amazon.com/Astor-Non-Electric-Mechanical-Toilet-Attachment/dp/B003TPGPUW/
Too lazy to install it on my toilet.
With that being said, a bidet is super easy to install and is only $24.95 on Amazon.
Your ass will be forever clean
I agree. The future is only 35 dollars.
It happens. One of the first threads I read here was regarding "things you never knew you needed and can now not live without". Bidet was on the list. Can't be without mine now. Added benefit of reducing TP consumption by 50%
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003TPGPUW/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_-xEzybGQGV9D1
It's pretty regional. I'm sure I saw something about how in India/Pakistan they use a bucket and cup to clean up. I've lived in a place with these installed since before I can remember. Now we've got something like this. Obviously washing well afterwards.
I never thought I'd be discussing intimate hygiene with random people over the internet.
I've bought a few of these over the years and they are worth every penny! Your burning butt hole will thank you. Had some people laugh but later came to me and said they bought one too and love it. Haha! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003TPGPUW/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_9QeNwbV0WBVEP
Or this one that's half the cost.
For us, day 10 things started calming down with less urgent bodily alarms to hit the bathroom and the return of more normal density, thank goodness. As of now, I actually feel like my inner workings are functioning better than pre-keto, which is surprising. I really hope things calm down for you soon!
As a side note Someone in r/keto recommended this little godsend to literally save our butts during the process. It really helps as I completely understand how clean up can become a literal pain in the ass.

This is very relevant

I have two different add-on cold water-only bidets:
Both are less than $30. Installation is easy for an existing toilet.
Make some time for yourself. Plenty of time. Get a bottle of lube and a smaller size dildo. (Not a hard vibrator) cover your bed with towels. Slowly start to play with yourself. Find what feels good. Keep a slow pace. Remember that your exploring. After sometime, your going to feel a warm comfort come over you. Your going to want to speed up. Go into the shower and continue picking up the pace. It might get messy. (I suggest buying bidet)you can use it before, during and after. You will feel an orgasm build. It will be like no other. Don't force it. If you get there, congratulations. If you don't, try again in a couple of days. Once you get more comfortable with your body, start involving your wife again.
Of course! Right now /u/fillup420 and I have the Astor Bidet, it was $25 on Amazon and it is seriously amazing.
Stay away from the high-pressure setting though. We use that to clean our mirror on the other side of the room.
best money you'll ever spend

Because everyone deserves a clean anus.
When it's off, it's off completely. No dripping. I advise not doing what I did when we first got it, which is turning it on without actually being seated on the toilet. The spray is forceful enough to hit the wall across from the toilet. Shocked the snot out of me, because I was expecting a gentle water fountain-esque thing like is in the packaging's photo. Nope.
... This one even has a remote! https://www.amazon.com/Brondell-S1000-EW-Advanced-Elongated-Toilet/dp/B0045UB9GK/ref=sr_1_21?s=kitchen-bath&ie=UTF8&qid=1469732134&sr=1-21&keywords=bidet
Room for one?
They make versions that are simply toilet seat replacements.
https://www.amazon.com/Brondell-S1000-EW-Advanced-Elongated-Toilet/dp/B0045UB9GK
Pricey for a toilet seat, to be sure, but well worth the money. You can usually find this model on sale for closer to $400 if you are patient.
There are other cheaper models that don't have features like heated seats, a remote, inline heaters and self-sanitizing nozzles; but those last two options are pretty much a must-have.
The inline heater is great if you live in cold regions, as cold water on the cornhole isn't that much fun and nobody really wants to have to clean the nozzle themselves.
Don't have a pic but I have the Bio Bidet BB-600 and it is one of the best purchases I've ever made!
I would also highly recommend getting a bidet toilet seat over just an attachment. They are a lot more expensive but the features you get are totally worth it. My favourite features are the heated water, distinct buttons for adjusting the nozzle position and pressure, and the oscillating spray which helps cover a larger area overall without you having to do anything. It also has an autonomous mode which does everything for you with the push of the button and it even has a built-in air dryer that goes with it (although it takes a really long time so I usually just end up using a few squares of TP to dry the water off.
The only downside to me is that the nozzle pressure and position reset after every use so I keep having to put them back which is kind of annoying but I suppose if multiple people use your bidet regularly it makes sense. I also can't really sit on my toilet seat lid anymore but that hasn't been a big deal to me.
Overall I'd give mine a 9/10, and would recommend others to get one.

I actually have only used them before...toto model. This one though is on my to-buy list.

Game changer. I've got some digestive issues, not dissimilar to UC, and I cannot advocate for this thing enough.
This is the best $40 you will ever spend.
Would you rather wash poop off your hands with water, or with a piece of paper? Which do you think would get your hand cleaner? Using a bidet is a bit like taking a shower after each poop; your rear end will be squeaky clean. They're also cleaner because you don't need to rub your hand close to your dirty butt like you do with toilet paper or wet wipes. You only need to.. dab your rear end a couple times to dry it off.
For those who are curious, bidet attachments run about $40 on Amazon. https://amzn.com/B00A0RHSJO
This one has a womens setting. Installed 60 days ago. Life is so much better.

You guys need to get a bidet.
Ah yeah if you thought it was that I definitely agree that would be a rip off lol. I think they call those travel bidets and I agree those are kind of odd.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00A0RX2UI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_7yRFxb1TM3QBM
That's what they are so you can get a clearer picture. $60 right now or only $30 for one with just cold which I wouldn't recommend because it would be freezing during winter.
I never thought I needed one either because I didn't know they had attachable ones, but bought it on a whim when I found out and there's no turning back.

I was looking at the Astor that's top rated in the bidet category but the lack of heat control kind of turned me off. Are you finding that only cold water is a problem? This one is the highest rated with temperature control, but it's about twice as much.

Don't believe so, I think most hook right to the tank and do a gravity/water pressure feed. - http://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00A0RX2UI
This one appears to use cold water. No. Upgrade to the warm water bidet.
http://www.amazon.com/Bidet-Neo-320-Elite-Series/dp/B00A0RX2UI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1417258351&sr=8-1&keywords=Warm+water+bidet
Like all the other rebranded models bought from the same manufacturer.
Same except with the hot water line.
I think some people think bidets are "decadent" or "high-falutin." Or disreputable, since a bidet could be used to masturbate. Plus, if you go into a home improvement store you're more likely to see this, which takes up additional space in the bathroom, is probably cold to sit on--or do you straddle it? Looks damned uncomfortable! Or they hear about those multiple-thousand-dollar Japanese bidets, and think one would have to be crazy to spend that much vs. toilet paper and a little effort.
But I bought myself the predecessor of this bidet Not very expensive, doesn't take up much space, runs both hot and cold water. And it is superior to toilet paper in every way.
Forget the 120, step up to the 320. Hot/cold instead of just cold.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00A0RX2UI/ref=emc_b_5_i
(At this price point I might have to pick one up. Didn't realize the hot/cold models had come down this much in price.)
I have this one
And this one
The second one is more expensive and honestly I like the first one (cheaper) one better. Plus the lever knob on the second one broke. The bidet works fine just has this plastic square you gotta push back instead of having that lever. If I had to buy again I'd just buy the cheaper one for all my bathrooms.
It'll be weird the first few days and you will need to use TP to dry off but after that you'll look down on all the plebs that don't have a clean bunghole.
So the ultimate splurge would be the toto neorest with elongated bowl. Alas, that’s too bougie for my budget I settle for the bidet attachment from amazon. This this super economical one is a greater starter bidet. The tushy brand is a little nicer option as well.
I installed 2 of these at home, they are great. No idea why USA is the only country I know without them.

I actually never bothered to hook up the cold water, as I didn't bother to clip the hose for the hot, so the water pretty much just comes out cold and gradually warms up. Install was easy, aside from the fact that my toilet crammed in a corner.

I have these on my toilets. Makes it easy to keep clean. Maybe that would be a hint, at least if she was at your place. Plus, if you're setting a tone of washing up yourself before sex, I think your partner is more likely to follow suit.
The idea of getting her to shower with you is a good one. Really, if she turns that down, I don't think anything short of directly asking is going to do it.

After reviewing everyone's comments, I think I will try out an attachment first and see how I like it, and upgrade at a later date based on my experience. Right now, I am leaning towards the Luxe Bidet Neo 120 since it has a self-cleaning nozzle.
You can buy a bidet that fits under the toilet seat and all the fittings needed to install it yourself for less than $40, my father-in-law is obsessed with them and has installed them on his own toilets and for his kids at college in their dorms/apartments. This is what they look like
Haha, I'm glad I could be of some help! Also if you really want to be a super pooper, get yourself one of these bidet attachments. I picked one up a couple months ago and it forever changed my views on pooping. It's like a power washer for your anus. I can't recommend it enough.
Also if you plan on snagging one, don't bother to get the hot water version. That's because the hot water has to heat up first just like how your sink works because it's tapping off the same line. You get used to the cold water version and don't even notice it after the first couple uses.
I never thought it would be weird, I just thought they'd be expensive and never got around to looking into them. Last week I saw someone on reddit mention a nice affordable Luxe bidet I could get on amazon for under $40, and I figured why not pull the trigger. It was super easy to install, and it seriously is the greatest home improvement purchase I've ever made.
It's like washing your butt in a shower after every #2, just dry with a little bit of toilet paper and you're done. Amazing!
This is the model I bought if you're interested in looking at reviews and what not: https://www.amazon.com/Luxe-Bidet-Neo-120-Non-Electric/dp/B00JG2DETM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1499879011&sr=8-1&keywords=luxe+120
https://www.amazon.com/Luxe-Bidet-Neo-120-Non-Electric/dp/B00JG2DETM
Or buy a great $35 bidet and save hundreds on toilet paper! Best DIY quality of life purchase I've made, took 10 minutes. Especially helpful certain times of the month.
Ever get your hands really dirty and try and wipe them clean with a dry paper towel? Didn't think so.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JG2DETM/ref=twister_B00KRO5XLA?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Those are the nice ones. There's another category of budget ones from like $20-60 all over Amazon from a hundred Chinese clone companies. They're hit or miss on quality as the reviews show, but I figured they're so cheap, why not give it a try. It has been great. The nicer ones offer better options, heated water, aerated water, air dryers, fancy remotes and all this, and that would be great but I don't want to pay for it and my hot water line is across the room from the toilet, so a cheapo is fine for me.
I got this one and it has been great. People in the reviews talked about it blasting your starfish skin off and wow they weren't kidding. The pressure twisty knob on this one is an illusion - realistically there's only Off or Peel Paint. So I got one of these twisty valves to go between the bidet hose and the main water pipe so I could fine tune the pressure to more reasonable levels and that has been great. You want some pressure to get that stuff off of you but not so much that your proctologist runs out of the room crying.
Wet butthole cleaning is the only way to go, the only way that makes sense, and sometimes it's nice to just let it run while you contemplate things and see if any more wants to come out. Toilet paper lasts forever now because you just need a couple squares to dab dry.
bidet
Thank me later.
I believe this is the one I got. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JG2DETM
Whenever I buy anything on Amazon, I sort by average review scores and get the best that isn't unreasonably higher priced than the others.
I have this $35 one from Amazon.
Yes, it's cold water. It comes from the toilet tank.
The pressure it produces is .... fucking ridiculous. It has four little dots on the dial to indicate low or high flow. I've had it for a year now and I still can't even get to the lowest setting without feeling like my asshole is being ripped apart. I have to put it between "off" and the lowest one. So if you're worried about it not being strong enough, let me quell that fear right away. I literally cannot fathom anyone needing the high setting. It would probably make me bleed.
And yes, after you use it you use a small amount of TP to make yourself dry. I've seen other people say they use a washcloth for this since you're theoretically clean at this point. I maybe would do that if I lived alone but I'd feel weird having a reusable butt wipe in my bathroom that other people would see. I definitely recommend them. Overall probably the best $35 I've spent in the last 5 years.

Luxe Bidet Neo 320 - Self... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JG3NVG2?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Here you go! This is the bidet that comes with option of both hot and cold water
This one apparently attaches to your hot and cold water supply (from under the sink)
i have Luxe Bidet Neo 320, works fine. except the hot water takes a while to turn hot (just like the sink) which i didn't think of. you can run the sink first for a while and then the bidet will produce hot water when you turn it on.
Time to add one of these to your home toilet...
I've been using one for years and haven't had the problem since I started using one. Also, change your diet, if you are getting the sharpie poop it's an indication that your diet is wrong.
My suggestion, which is my suggestion to everyone, is to buy this:
https://www.amazon.com/Bidet-Non-Electric-Mechanical-Attachment-Self-Cleaning/dp/B00P2XZDGG
Total life changer.
I was actually looking at picking up something like this, it's small, fits right under your toilet seat, looks easy to use and easy to install... I'm sure we'd get used to the cold water in no time. :)
I spent some time in Pakistan years ago and became a "squat toilet" convert as well. Us westerners got toilets all wrong.
I have found that the combination of a squattie potty and toilet mounted bidet convey all the benefits of a squat toilet + hose but without the expense, hassle, permanence (I rent) and inconvenience for others that would go along with installing an actual squat toilet. The pair cost about $75 and took 10 minutes to install.
This is definitely the way to go.
I had suffered from very mild but chronic hemorrhoids for years. Once I started using this setup, they were gone in a week and haven't come back. I'll never go back to sitting and wiping.
As others have pointed out, any stool will do, but the squattie potty has the advantage of being designed to be easy to clean, and to slide out of the way under the toilet when not in use, reducing bathroom clutter. If you're going to buy a stool for bathroom use, this is the one to buy.
I bought a Luxe Bidet Neo 185. Using it right now. Here is the link, though I am in Canada.
Do your self and your asshole a big favor. Will eliminate embarrassing itch as well.

This is the Luxe one I got.. I have nothing to compare it to but it works fine for me. Cold water only.
I bought THIS ONE, (on sale now it seems for 32 bucks) Love it and I bought some for others who also love it.

I second this! We got a bidet attachment a few months ago and aside from the obvious rinse after #2 which is great, I love it for cleaning up after sex and during my period. Serious life improvement. I'll share the link to the one I got from Amazon, it's only $45 and has a "woman" setting which aims more forward than the regular setting. It installed in about ten minutes. Totally worth it imo.

Without a doubt get one. I bought this one on Amazon and have loved it.
Do it, you wont regret it.
\>acting high and mighty based on how you use toilet paper
get on my level, son
I suppose that depends on what you consider pricey, but I don't think bidets are too cheap either. I took a very quick look, and there was a pretty impressive looking one for ~$370.
>Can you link the heated seat/bidet?
My seat is a Toto, too. This is the model in question: TOTO Washlet C100 Elongated Bidet Toilet Seat (SW2034#01).
Looking at its spec sheet:
>Power Rating: AC 120V-60Hz, 406W
So, if my math is correct, it draws 3.4 amps.
Here are all the items on my second-floor circuits. (My house was built in 1990, so I guess codes regarding circuits have changed a lot since then.) These 4 circuits are accessible in the attic.
Despite how crowded everything looks on my second-floor circuits, I have never had issues with a circuit tripping. While X number of receptacles may sound like a lot, the majority of the receptacles on the second floor have nothing plugged into them.
My bathroom fan draws 0.24 A.
Assuming that every light is turned on, and each bulb is 40 watts, Circuit 16 would have 480W (40*(2+5+1+1+1+2) = 480) and thus 4A of draw for lighting. Keep in mind, I am increasingly moving to LED bulbs, which obviously use much less than 40W each.
>How difficult is it to add another circuit from the panel?
I would say it is fairly difficult. I would not feel comfortable adding a new circuit myself, so I'd have to pay an electrician for this.
My seat/bidet isn't 12A (!), so am I still pushing my luck if I add 3.4 A to the existing circuit (#16)?
I guess it all comes down to the unpredictable variable of whether another high-draw item is potentially plugged into a receptacle on this circuit...

Thanks for your help everyone
I’d be happy to offer you guidance on your journey into the amazing world of bidets.
I started out with this one:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00A0RHSJO/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1523776662&sr=8-3&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=bidet&dpPl=1&dpID=419LXSZM6YL&ref=plSrch
It’s an awesome bidet and does the job perfectly, is super easy to install and for $35 you can’t go wrong.
However about six months ago I decided to splurge and get the king of all bidets, the Toto Washlet:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00UCIOWRM/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1523776789&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=toto+washlet&dpPl=1&dpID=31uvbuDPUAL&ref=plSrch
It’s expensive but worth it; the water is heated, it has different speeds and the nozzle can move back and forth, and the best part is that it dries your butt afterwards, which is amazing.
One thing about bidets though—for us guys, unless you don’t mind your balls being sprayed with water, it is kind of necessary to make sure they’re out of the way, or figure out a position where the water doesn’t hit them.
SmartBidet SB-1000 SB-1000WE... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0128T2HQK?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
It blows warm air but tp is more effective. And yes. I put that outlet in.
Wife and I got one of these and she loves it. Always up for butt play now.

Something like this, they have other styles that are more fancy looking, but this is the basic idea.
I mean if you just search bidet on Amazon a bunch come up.
But this is the one I have. It's very basic and the adjustment is kind of useless, I just shift around to change the angle. There are even cheaper ones that I'm sure are fine.
Just get a bidet /washlet instead. There are simpler and cheaper ones avaliable for under 50 bucks.
https://www.amazon.com/Greenco-Non-Electric-Mechanical-Toilet-Attachment/dp/B01A17T3N6
> I honestly can’t imagine how this works. Do you have a link? How do you get the water from I’m assuming the tank above the toilet? Also, how does it not get in the way when you’re using the toilet?
They tap the fresh water inlet line before the water enters the tank. Or, with a minor plumbing reroute and some extra cost parts, if you can reach your shower from the toilet, you can do what I did and have a manual bidet that has access to warm water.
The bidet itself cost me about $20.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01A17T3N6
I also got a cheap one, couldn't get a tight seal, had a small leak. So I returned it and splurged on this one. All quality connectors.
I've owned a couple by this brand - I disagree. These ones are a pain to clean and have parts that wear out much faster. They're also more prone to leaks due to the cheap plastic and gaskets they use internally.
This is the best one I've found thus far. It's not as "sit, shit, and forget" as the underseat ones, but in terms of cleaning and utility it's much better. Aesthetically it looks nicer, too.
https://www.amazon.com/RinseWorks-Patented-Certified-Warranty-Extension/dp/B01CF51ZJ2/
I just recently installed one that's like the sink sprayer in the kitchen sink. It was like 40-50 at Amazon. Here's the link and a video of the product. They do feature video footage of someone wiping shit off of a corn cob:
https://www.amazon.com/RinseWorks-Patented-Certified-Warranty-Extension/dp/B01CF51ZJ2/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=aquaus&qid=1556898520&s=kitchen-bath&sr=1-2
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RuZs2NuI7VY
If you're a womain, I'd reconsider the Luxe Bidet Neo 120 for the reason that it has only 1 sprayer for the booty but not the lady parts. The problem you run into as a lady is that you risk infection spraying all the poo upfront. If you're a guy, not too bad a problem. I recently switched over to a handheld bidet and I would not go back to an under the seat bidet. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CF51ZJ2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I like this because it is multi-functional and doesn't have just one task. Besides cleaning your parts with it, it comes in handy for cleaning the toilet too. My toilet is also right next to my shower, and it is super helpful in cleaning the shower, too. The only thing I find mildly annoying about it is that it is recommended that you turn off the water at the t-valve after every use just in case the sprayer springs a leak or something, but the simple adapter that comes with bidet makes this easy, you just have to remember to do it.
We have ALL had this happen, please don't feel alone, or desperate. I can say that bidets are LIFE changing. They also really help with irritation. Here's one that you just attach to your existing toilet seat, and costs about $25. Brondell is a great brand, too (they make the super upscale ones, too). It gives you exactly the same effect as a shower, only without having to shower, and only works where you need it to work. (Also, if you feel like there's a little "left over," all you have to do is sit on the toilet and turn the bidet on!) https://www.amazon.com/Brondell-Bidet-SimpleSpa-Non-Electric-Attachment/dp/B075MMHQX7/ref=pd_cp_60_2?pd_rd_w=AASfp&pf_rd_p=ef4dc990-a9ca-4945-ae0b-f8d549198ed6&pf_rd_r=00E2J3KRWWYVEH6XGC8Y&pd_rd_r=e37b109c-a2c9-11e9-a9ae-270e3ef58a57&pd_rd_wg=2kBOB&pd_rd_i=B075MMHQX7&psc=1&refRID=00E2J3KRWWYVEH6XGC8Y
Amazon is a great place to check! I picked up this one and I've been using it for years now. It goes on all my travels. It's not necessarily compact but for the sake of feeling happy, healthy and clean, I'll take it!
I replied to another poster as well.
It's this one.

It's tough to clean. I have a really skinny bottle brush that I double over. Otherwise I love it, especially when I'm travelling.

True. A non-ultralight luxury is the Brondell Travel Bidet
http://www.amazon.com/Brondell-GS-70-GoSpa-Travel-Bidet/dp/B008CSDKSQ/
I use this bidet at home and love it.
For public bathrooms, you can get a travel bidet, like this one.
I usually just use some toilet paper that I've dipped into the toilet (after flushing of course!), and alternate between wet and dry wipes until it's clean.
I bought this from Amazon:
Brondell GS-70 GoSpa Travel Bidet https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008CSDKSQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_rccnybCJ7CAEJ
Now I never have to worry about bidet-less bathrooms anymore. I've used it in airplanes, malls and even hotels that don't have bidets. Capacity is a little lacking (only 500 ml) but you can always bring with you a 1L bottle of mineral water for stall refilling or just walk over to the sink with your pants down for refilling (not recommended).
Also, bring tissue. Wet wipes clog toilets if you decide to flush them down.
You're welcome.
you're welcome!
I use the specific 'feminine' wipes that you find in the drugstore.
If you are going to use a water bottle - just buy a peri-bottle or a personal bidet...so that you can have a little more control of the water.
If you're ever in the need of a bidet, go on amazon and search up a portable bidet. I got one when i moved to North America!
edit: https://www.amazon.ca/Brondell-GS-70-GoSpa-Travel-Bidet/dp/B008CSDKSQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1504155231&sr=8-1&keywords=portable+bidet
Use a travel bidet like this
Sure! So this is a bidet:

What you do is instead of using toilet paper, you squirt your butt with water by squeezing the bidet bottle. This eliminates the need for TP as it'll clean just as effectively.
I bought this one off amazon, but never opened or installed it and lost interest. I'll sell it to you if you want it.

You can get them for super cheap on amazon. This one that I have is 30 bucks and it works great. https://www.amazon.com/Luxe-Bidet-Neo-110-Non-Electric/dp/B009ZLRSJ6/ref=sr_1_17?s=kitchen-bath&ie=UTF8&qid=1492278460&sr=1-17&keywords=bidet
The attachable bidet. Here's the one I bought from Amazon. They have other models, but this is their basic model that's perfect for most anyone.
Their other models have things like a second tube for a different angle, designed for vaginal cleaning.

I'm two weeks post-op.
People here all have fantastic suggestions so far!
I used:
This is the one I got two years ago, changed my life for the better. Would you clean poo of your arm with a piece of dry paper, or would you use water?

theres a video there for the install. its easy and not permanent. you'll need some channel locks and a small adjustable wrench.
it will change your life
35 bucks on amazon! Installed on all the toilets. First thing I had ordered even we moved in to the new house. amazon bidet for 35
It's this one here. I live in New Zealand so I had to replace the T with a 1/2 inch one because most toilet plumbing in NZ is 1/2 inch. Also had to get a 600mm extension for the tube because the connection was too far away.
The bowl on my toilet has the mounting holes quite far back behind the bowl and the seats available were hitting the bidet at the back and it would flex even with spacers. So I fitted the seat and drew out where I would need to cut and just snapped the piece off with some pliers.
Fits great now and doesn't even need spacers. Just had to ruin a cheap toilet seat haha
Luxe Bidet Neo 120 - Self... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00A0RHSJO?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
My FH and I are both on the Charmin bandwagon but we differ on whether we get Ultra Soft or Ultra Strong. But I'm usually shopping so we get Ultra Soft.
BUT I think everyone here is missing something that my FH introduced me to. A bidet!
It's seriously the best thing ever. Your toosh will thank you. And you'll use less of whichever TP you are buying.
They don’t sell mine anymore, but this is the updated version
Luxe Bidet Neo 120 - Self Cleaning Nozzle - Fresh Water Non-Electric Mechanical Bidet Toilet Attachment (blue and white)
There are fancier models that do more, all the way up to $300. Mine was about $30. Very easy to set up. No permanent changes to toilet. Mine is now on its second commode.
This is the one we have (in US), not sure how plumbing differs where you're at but it attaches externally to the water line on the toliet. Bidet
https://www.amazon.com/Luxe-Bidet-Neo-120-Non-Electric/dp/B00A0RHSJO works great with any toilet
Look no further.

Bonus quote from reviews:
"Speaking as a hirsute gentleman, the Luxe Bidet Neo 120 has soured me on pooping in bidet-less toilets forever. It's shown me the difference between rubbing peanut butter out of shag carpeting with a paper towel, and that sparkling clean feeling you get right when you step out of the shower."
I got this specific one. It comes with a waterline spitter and 1 supply line. I think at the time mine was cheaper. I’m sure you can find another one that does the trick too if this is too much money. They are for sure worth the investment.

I just got “Amazon’s choice” but there’s a bunch out there including ones that heat the water if you’re into that
Exactly what they other poster said. They are both excellent bidets and widely available. I just happened to grab one at random from Amazon for the link, which unfortunately seems to be a lousy example. This is the one I own and very much approve of.
Oh, no, dude. You don’t have to be rich for a bidet. We have one.

Buy one of these, and stop wiping your butt with your hand like some primitive cave person.
missing: bidet
My situation is similar to yours, OP.
This Parks and Rec. clip speaks to me.
Recently I bought this cheap "entry level" bidet on Amazon, and honestly... I sort of look forward to pooping because it's so much easier now. It's a maximum 10 minute install process that anyone can do, and then you're set.
You sit down and take your poop, then turn on the bidet, slowly increasing the pressure until it feels right, then wiggle your ass around a little bit. Turn off the bidet, wipe a couple times to clear the water off, and then move on with your day.
I'd advise against using wet wipes if you plan on flushing them. Even though the boxes say they're flushable, they really aren't. "Flushable" wet wipes cause so many clogged septic systems every year. Here's a quick 2 minute video from the BBC talking about what wet wipes do to the London sewer systems. It's much worse if you have a septic tank buried in your yard. Wet wipes can easily clog the hell out of your tank and then you need to get it pumped. Imagine coming home from work one hot summer day and your front lawn has become a literal puddle of shit and piss because your tank clogged and overflowed.
Bidet add ons go for $35 on Amazon . Save the planet while feeling like you just took a shower!
Also if you got poo on your face, you would definitely wash it off and not just use a paper towel to smear it, right???
It was about two years ago I read about bidets (I think in frugal) and my God, what a difference in money saved, cleanliness, comfort.
bidet seat
adapter that comes with seat sux, so buy this one
Problem Solved
One way to do it:
.. the first spray help ease in cleaning up after you go. Most bidet types will not agitate the bowl while spraying.
I have this type:
http://www.amazon.com/Luxe-Bidet-Neo-120-Non-Electric/dp/B00A0RHSJO/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1420674033&sr=8-5&keywords=bidet
Get a bidet attachment, just air dry after. You will save so much on using little to no TP.
Have you considered a bidet? They expedite the wiping process and make it all much more sanitary! They're available for $36 on Amazon and can be installed quite easily on any toilet using basic tools. https://www.amazon.com/Luxe-Bidet-Neo-120-Non-Electric/dp/B00A0RHSJO/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=bidet&qid=1571242073&sr=8-4
> unless bidets began to be a thing in the US
I've had this bidet on my wishlist forever but haven't pulled the trigger yet. Just walked into a friend's place the other day and saw they had gotten the same model; they were raving about it.
I've had this one for a year or two. I like it. Only issue is the occasional splatter shits get on the little door (it opens/closes so you don't get strayed with shit speckled water) but it'd just stick to the back of the toilet anyways if this wasn't there.
Luxe Bidet Neo 120 - Self Cleaning Nozzle - Fresh Water Non-Electric Mechanical Bidet Toilet Attachment (blue and white) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00A0RHSJO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fBfQzbE8VGRM3
Just buy one of the bidets that attaches to your toilet like: https://www.amazon.com/Luxe-Bidet-Neo-120-Non-Electric/dp/B00A0RHSJO/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1502899352&sr=8-2&keywords=astor+bidet
If I'm being honest, the bidet is made of super cheap plastic and it cracked where the bolt from the seat goes through it. Replacing it for $40 every few years is worth it to me. YMMV
The only way to come clean about that
best $40 you're ever going to spend, life-changer! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00A0RHSJO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_MyhSAb8MW8QW3)
Here's a decent one, but you can shell out more for heat control and other stuff. My morning ritual involves immediately defecating while deleting cringey facebook memories. Treat yourself!
Also, females have disgusting bathroom habits. Growing up, I always thought they were the cleaner sex...you should start leaving unflushed, steaming Chipotle piles in their bathroom
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00A0RHSJO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_ep_dp_8ogezbMWQPKFX
Thats the one I got. Its pretty good and worth spendin 35 bucks on just to see if you like it or not. If not it was just 35 bucks but if you do it is gonna be a game changer. No more mud butt, endless wiping on messy days, etc.
It was pretty easy to install with basic tools. They have a higher end one that's got hot water hookups that would be cool during winter. Summer around here the cold water is warm anyway in my neck of the woods.
First time was a little weird but after that it was awesome.
Bottom line is you need to eat. Talk to someone about how you're feeling and about accessing these supports until you've dealt with the psychological root of your menophobia.

Simple, sleek and super high quality parts from a reputable company. Old bidet which cost a little more lasted 3 months, got 2 of these and they’ve been going solid for 7 months.

Gotta say, ascension8438, your endorsement has made me finally order a bidet. Thank you stranger!
pretty damn close
Just installed one this weekend - got back from a trip to Korea and loved the fancy one in the hotel. Couldn't see spending thousands on the fancy Toto models, but the Brondell at https://www.amazon.com/Brondell-Bidet-SimpleSpa-Non-Electric-Attachment/dp/B075MMHQX7/ works just fine, and is, uh, bracing after the morning deposit.
It was a pain to install on my all-in-one fancy modern toilet, but if you're careful with the plumbing totally doable by an amateur plumber. If your toilet hookup is visible and exposed it should be really easy. $30 to try it out doesn't seem like a bad investment...
Here is one, check out others like it. These washlets are amazing. When I was dealing with #WaterGate for a couple months, my butthole would get a little bloody from wiping so much. I eventually got a bidet to attach to my toilet. It saved my ass, LITERALLY. My toilet paper use is dramatically lower. All you need to do it dab dry.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075MMHQX7/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Most don't require electricity. This one, for example. This one is slightly nicer and also requires no electricity. There are also hand sprayer models: I opened the wall and plumbed mine to both the hot and cold so I can wash my ass with warm water. This one just tees off the toilet supply line.
Metamucil + bidet toilet attachment. My shits are always faster now.
Get a bidet attachment. Definitely makes a huge difference.
I have never went camping, nor do I know anybody who has.
I'm Egyptian. Egypt is 96% desert. The other 4% are fields and cities. We don't have any forests.
There are portable ones, by the way. Very easy to use and install. They look like this. You should look around for one of those if you're interested.
Check this out.

This or any other one, really. I think they normally cost < $50 so they won't break the bank, either.
I suggest a partial CYV: Bunch/Fold/whatever, there is a superior method.
Let's say you fell face first into a load of poo. Would you wipe yourself off with paper towels and call it a day?
If your answer is no, I suggest a cleaner, more sanitary, more refreshing, and more comfortable method. A bidet!
An affordable mechanical model:
http://www.amazon.com/Luxe-MB110-Non-Electric-Mechanical-Attachment/dp/B001KKRCFA/
and a fancy electric model with a heated seat, warm air dry, deodorizer, etc.:

Once you go bidet, you never go back!
A bidet, for the times your "blowing up" the bathroom ;)
Change Jar
I could see that happening. Maybe by robotic toilet, that would automatically tell whether you're done or not, and help you?
EDIT: Well theres this.

They do make attachment bidets. I bought one about a week ago, thought I'd give it a try. Not too expensive, you can find a variety of them for under $100 easily. Here's the one I bought (not an affiliate link, no worries).
It was a little weird to get used to, but now I don't know that I would want to go without.
> Normally when I poop on the toilet my shit dries and its painful as fuck to remove. In the shower the shit will flow off immediately and there will be no ripped off ass hairs.
My friend, allow me to introduce you to your new best friend: the bidet.

Best $40 you will ever spend.
I used TP for the longest time, and then I tried my mom's baby wipes. I fell in love. Pull it out of the box, use it, then fold it up to a clean side. Use again, fold again, use again, fold again. You could get three, sometimes four good solid wipes out of a single sheet.
Then I found out that wipes don't break down in the septic system. And I found out about the bill for slurping out 2 years worth of baby wipes from the cesspool. So now I had to dispose of them in the wastebasket, or some other separate container.
A...less than ideal sort of solution.
Then I got this. (Oh, you sneaky fuckers. It was $36 when I bought it, now it's $19.)
Now I don't use any TP or baby wipes. I drop a load, then rinse off. And no matter how much Mexican I consume, this baby takes care of it all. And on those days where I'm dehydrated and stoppered? Just pull your cheeks apart and relax, and you'll get a little help in getting it all out.
Best household purchase in my life.
Bidets , not just for the rich man any longer.
but then do I use a towel to dry my tookis? I've never used a bidet and don't know the etiquette . I also saw this bidet that installs under the seat which is a little cheaper. But I think if I got one, I would go all out and get a heated seat, and heater water bidet, something like this, then I could finally shit in comfort.
Yep, got mine on amazon. Hate to shit anywhere but home now.
http://www.amazon.com/Luxe-MB110-Non-Electric-Mechanical-Attachment/dp/B001KKRCFA/
When that happened to me I would do the following:
In about 1 week you will be partially healed. DO NOT have anal sex yet. Drink half your body weight in ounces in water each day. This is important to keep your poo soft. Eat raisin bran cereal. Eat oatmeal. Eat anything with fiber. You will need at least 30 grams of fiber a day. This is to help keep your poo soft enough to pass through your fissure (Tear).
In about 3 weeks or so you will be fully healed. Please, keep up the routine of fiber each day. Drink plenty of water each day. And for the love of GOD, use Lube. Use lots of LUBE!
Can't answer your question but just buy a bidet toilet attachement and keep using your normal toilet paper. Much cheaper in the long run and no plumbing issues.
>Vegan cookbook maybe?
Is she vegan? If she is, probably a good idea. If not, she may be confused (and perhaps too polite to say so) :p
-----
First, an anecdote.
I recently flew on ANA airlines a 10 hour flight. I got bumped to business class (this was awesome!). As not to be too stereotypical of Japanese toilets - ANA's sky toilet had a heated bidet (washlet?) with adjustable spray and pressure. At least business class did (I need to ask my coworker about economy). It was amazing and hilariously enough, ANA is Japan's #2 airline.
So in all seriousness... If she lives in a warm region this kit. If she is in a very cold region this kit. To note: All water from a faucet will be cool but in northern regions water may be painful cold.
The flaw is that they don't have a bidet. Best purchase I ever made.
> I don't even bother wiping anymore, I just hose off in the shower.
here you go
That seems terrible. Buy the electronic version like they sell in asia... I am now going to search for this on amazon.
Edit: The platinum route. OR Water to spray at your bum.

Sounds like your a man who would enjoy something like This.
$30 on Amazon
For the first, a wash cloth and some soap (or toilet paper, water and soap if out and about).
For the latter, try this. Hands-down one of the best purchases I've ever made. It's like being having-taken-a-shower clean every time I drop a deuce (or if I just need a quick refresh on those hot summer days).
I've been looking at this
Luxe Bidet MB110 Fresh Water Spray Non-Electric Mechanical Bidet Toilet Seat Attachment, 4.5 stars with 2200 reviews. Seriously, like a mini pressure washer for your butt - legitimately painful to use.
I got this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001KKRCFA/ It only ties in to the water line, nothing more.
I don't have electricity near the toilet, but if we ever remodel, you can bet I'll upgrade. In the meantime, I don't mind the cold water at all, really. Drying, however, would be a treat.
Just one more reason why I'm planning on getting a bidet
Dude, no joke get a Bidet. I saw a post about it a few months ago. So I decided to give it a try. They suggested a Bidet from Amazon. It was easy to set up. I love it! My whole family now uses a Bidet. It has changed my whole bathroom experience. Here is the Amazon link:

Here ya go
Now, this isn't a full on seperate one, it hooks up to your standard toilet.
Toilet paper...an uncivilized weapon. I never thought that something so close to the toilet could change my life forever...and then I met the bidet. Solves environmental and hygenical problems in one fell swoop. Not to shit (har har) on your ideas...but here: http://www.amazon.com/Bidet-BB-50-Hand-held-temperature-adjustable/dp/B002ZBP93K/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1311196686&sr=8-7

I bought me one of these after coming back from travelling. Easy to install, highly recommended

I first encountered them when I traveled to Lebanon. They attach to the valve on your toilet. I just ordered one myself.

I've been doing this my whole life and it is the best feeling in the world. Best sex too if you like ass play. You wont get any if you have carpet.

This is the one I have. Installs in 5 minutes from someone with 0 plumbing experience. They're standard in every restroom in the middle east, kind of gross that here in USA most people are still smearing their feces around their cheeks.
The surgery is a lot to deal with but when it's over you will feel like you have your life back. I bought a bidet from amazon and it really helps me.
toilet
Portable
I like to be clean because the movements are more acidic.
I was going to mount it on the toilet, the kind that's like a water fountain, so all you need to do is turn it on, like this Astor Bidet Fresh Water Spray Non-Electric Mechanical Bidet Toilet Seat Attachment CB-1000 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003TPGPUW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_Ap32Ab4FPKWE4
Buy one of these. I have one and absolutely love it. I hate crapping away from home now.
A while back I bought a bidet attachment for my toilet (only $35, including shipping from Amazon), and it works flawlessly, so as a result, they're all no wipe shits for me. A nice bonus was that when I recently fucked up my wiping hand, I didn't have to attempt to wipe with my other hand since I had the bidet to take care of everything. I'll never go back to wiping now that I've seen the light :)
$35 Bidet from Amazon, best anniversary gift lifesaver.

I want to buy a product like this, but I worry that it'll just be dollar store quality, made-in-China, crap.
This was the way to go.

Best $25 you'll ever spend, you asshole will thank you every day.

Same here! Took a suggestion from this sub and got the Astor (no pun intended by me- but possibly by the manufacturer) Bidet from Amazon for $30 including shipping. It took less than 5 minutes to hook up using their parts. Now my parts are constantly clean and there is no more wiping- sometimes a pat down to dry the area. I still check with TP after particularly crazy BMs and am still amazed that the area is completely clean.

buy and install a bidet. It will pay for itself in 2 months.
well, I just bought one on Amazon.( http://www.amazon.com/Astor-Non-Electric-Mechanical-Toilet-Attachment/dp/B003TPGPUW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1301158445&sr=8-1 )
you don't need a plumber to install, it's very easy to do it yourself.
Here
There's a little shower head type thing that is retracted underneath the bottom of your toilet seat but like 8" down(The seats on these are pretty tall) and moves out a little and shoots up stream at like a 30 degree angle at your rear door and sprays it clean. It just all goes off you and down into the water. I've never had any on the nozzle thing or the bowl of the toilet. It's all a rather clean process. The water hose for it is split from the water hose that you have from the sink for drinking water, never from in the toilet....

The attachment is only $25 on amazon and works great.
